So last night I watched Extreme Rules, the first WWE I have watched for a couple of months, and I thought it was pretty awful. I think Steve put it better than I ever could when he described WWE as a "sterile, heartless company where nothing means anything". The problem is, my only alternative in mainstream wrestling is TNA, and most of what they do drives me insane. TNA seems to get a lot of hate here with the exception of a few blind marks... I mean... dedicated fans, but lets try to come up with some of the positives of TNA in comparison to WWE.
There must be SOME advantages of watching TNA over WWE right? What does TNA do better?
Someone needs to sell me on the idea of watching TNA. >.>
I seriously cannot think of anything. That's how bad wrestling currently is. When you're doing horrible, and your main competitor is doing as bad/worse, then you're sitting pretty. I can only think of Kurt Angle and Scott Steiner. I'd rather watch Angle/Sting then Batista/Orton or Cena/Show, and Scotty on the mic is awesome. But I cannot think of ANYTHING.
The main thing TNA has over WWE from what I can see is that it doesn't seem as watered down. When you're watching WWE, they sure as hell make it obvious you're watching something aimed at kids, whereas TNA doesn't seem as patronising.
Not saying this outweighs the positives of WWE, but yeah.
Also, I think TNA has a better atmosphere and everything does seem a slightly bigger deal.

Well, TNA do have their whole 20 people audience to make feel wanted.

I disagree with this, they may do a bunch of lame ass hardcore garbage matches but the brutality and sense of hate and intensity is still lacking.
Their atmosphere is also pretty shitty imo due to the impact zone crowds and the way their shows are formatted.

Yes and no. I find it patronizing but in a different manner. The WWE simply isn't targeting their product at me anymore. Where as I think that TNA is targeting me, but they think I have an IQ of 9.
