Kennedy has shown to me that he can be quite good on the mic (like when he was trying to console MVP during his losing streak).

I really don't think they can trademark Mr. Anderson, as it's already very very well established in the Matrix series. Not sure how long Kennedy has been wrestling, but if they had it trademarked, I'm sure it wouldn't have been used as much as it was.
Not so much Mr. Anderson, but rather Mr. Anderson...Anderson. That's exactly how Kennedy started off in the WWE before his name was changed to Kennedy. Whether the WWE trademarked it back in 2005 or not, I don't know.
Even without that gimmick, I don't doubt that he can get over doing something else. He has great mic skills and lots of charisma. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do well in TNA and get called back by the WWE years later.

Nobody really benefits from moving from WWE to TNA. I don't see why it'll be any different this time.
TNA booking is so haphazard everybody is always struggling to make an impact.
Kennedy is going to have serious confidence issue when he goes to TNA. He's been injured for a good while and then he get's released after his first match back. The best thing for him would be to feud with Kurt Angle. Kurt can get a good match out of anybody. And if Kennedy is having good matches and getting a good reaction then his confidence will soon come back.
WWE never trademarked "Mr. Anderson" (although there was nothing stopping them), they probably never bothered since he only wrestled as that for about 1 week in WWE before they changed his name to Mr. Kennedy.

I seriously doubt Kennedy has confidence issues Jake. He's basically so high on his own hype he thinks he's this generations Hulk Hogan... And I like him, so think what people that don't like him say about his ego.

I certainly think he buys into his own hype. But I don't see how he's not going to have confidence issues. Even if he doesn't show he must be doubting himself.
He was supposed to be the next Rock, or so the rumours said. But he's spent the best part of his WWE career injured and he got realeased after his first match back. I don't see how that won't effect him in some way.
Aside from the fact that Kennedy actually went by that for a little while, it would still be hilarious for him to be the next Matrix guy.... like Chris Jericho. Now if only he could freeze in mid-air and kick someone's ass... THAT would be a great finisher!

I can see why people would say that, but he's not exactly bad on the mic either. He's definitely had his moments. I certainly don't think he's anywhere near as good as The Rock (which is quite frankly, a LAUGHABLE comparison), but he's got enough talent in that department to carry him on the main event level. I don't think commentary is his schtick though.

I agree, every time he's built momentum, he's had it taken away from either injury or a Wellness Policy violation which would be sufficient to make even the most conceited superstar doubt themself. I just hope the TNA wrestling style won't break his neck the first month, since their wrestlers are considerably more enduring than your typical WWE match.
But I would be shocked if TNA didn't pick him up. He might be a little overrated to some degree, but the legion of fans the guy has is undisputable. TNA would be foolish to not at least give him a shot.

The level of self belief the guy seems to have is pretty high. I obviously can't say for certain that he's riding high on the wave of his own ego, but the reports coming from his camp since his firing have been hugely positive... Likely because the minute news broke, he got a call from TNA begging for his signature on a contract.
