Raven attacking Abyss with a cane in front of a dead crowd
Raven had a long history with Stevie Richards (dating back over 12 years to both ECW and WCW). Shane Douglass's attack was just random though and made no sense.
I hated the crowd, a dead crowd can ruin even a great segment (which is why I hate when WWE goes to California since California audiences tent to be dead most of the time).

I voted for the both option. I laughed out loud at both videos. I haven't actually watched TNA in like almost a year now, I can't stand them in any way anymore, nothing really makes sense and everything just seems so random. I still read all the results so I'm not completely in the dark about what's going on. Hilarious returns though.
TNA never fails to make me laugh.

I think they may be working on an ECW alumni invasion sort of angle, which is stupid considering it's been done to death and half the stars are past it.
Shane's return was worse because it was just so random. At least with Raven, there's a hardcore connetion.
If you cant figure out why Raven attacked Abyss and sided with Stevie, you calling Abyss a retard really is quite lol worthy. I'll even explain it nice and slow for you. Raven and Stevie have a long history together (Remember Raven's nest? Thats how far back they go). Raven and Abyss meanwhile are long time enemies in TNA.

Maybe TNA should stop basing their angles off a promotion which died about 8 years ago.
Also, they didn't put over any of that in commentary. For a lot of wrestling fans it will make absolutely no sense. (I'm giving TNA the benefit of the doubt and assuming they actually have the history in mind).
Either way it was a shit anticlimactic return.

Don West said it at some point. He pointed out the long history between Raven and Abyss when he said its best to have a familiar face do it. Also, you seem to think wrestling fans are stupid and wont remember that Stevie was Raven lackey for many years.

I'm fully aware they were partners over a decade ago, that doesn't really explain the segment at all unless you are really scraping the barrell, i which case that's a horrible excuse for an angle.

Of course you and I remember it, but it was obvious the crowd didn't. TNA fans usually cheer about everything (I remember they were chanting some long phrase I lol'd at) I was surprised that a former TNA champ didn't even get a reaction. Times have changed in TNA.
