It confused me a little, but in all honesty, heel Joe should be all kinds of awesome, so I can deal with it. Hopefully he'll come out in a suit on Impact.
I've just watched the King Of The Mountain match. Middle of the day, edited for obviously.
I don't get why somebody with Joes gimmick would wear that home town jersey. It just doesn't go with his gimmick. And beating the shit out of Kurt before the bell, then handing him the belt towarsd the end was fucking stupid. Was he pulling his punches?
I also just watched the whole PPV on Bravo. Better than the last TNA PPV I sat through but still pretty bad. Match of the night was the tag title match and even that wasn't good. It felt like it was worked in reverse with BMI wrestling like faces and 3D wrestling like heels, and considering it was meant to be a big payoff to the fued all the overbooking with the British guy was just awfully done. Devon is also a worthless slug in the ring too.
The KOTM match was awful as expected. I loved the tease of the suplex off the cage between Foley and AJ, but the rest was suck city. The sad thing is, the swerve at the end would have actually been pretty decent had everything else not sucked and if TNA didnt end every PPV with a swerve.

It was to get Angle eligable right from the start meaning he didnt need to get a win over anyone else. As soon as he got a chance he could go for the win instead of having to find someone to pin and losing the chance. It only became clear when Joe joined Angle that he did it knowing what would likely happen if he attacked before the bell.

I know. But since when did attracting before the bell ever lose you a match? I know it's not the same circumstances, but it's akin to Joe attacking somebody before a singles match then losing before the bel has been run.
At Survivor Series 2003, Hardcore Holly was eliminated by disqualification after he attacked Brock Lesnar before the match began.

But yeah, Slammiversary. Good pay-per-view. Not really, obviously. It's TNA. King of the Mountain was alright. It just seems very tame when you compare it to Money in the Bank. AJ didn't even have an insane spot. Foley tossing him into, holy shit... the ring was pretty underwhelming.
AJ winning the title after getting it thrown around his neck would have been cool. Alas, TNA is adamant at being nonsensical.
