Douglas wasent really an original. He didnt debut until Summer 2003, a year after TNA started. Raven can easily get away with that claim though as his debut came after only a few months.
If they are after originals for the short term why not Chris Harris, Elix Skipper, S.A.T's, Joey Matthews, Monty Brown, Kid Kash, Sonny Siaki and plently more who were in TNA before Douglas and would be much better in the ring.
Raven came to TNA in February of 2003. So, thats just short of a year. That might be pushing it to be called a "original".
I agree with Chris Harris, Monty Brown and Sonny Siaki to be involved with the story. After all, they are younger and work better.
Joey Matthews "retired" a few months ago, so i don't see that working out. Kash has ripped TNA plenty of times and i believe worked the ECW shows without permission from TNA.
TNA is just trying to get guys from 03-05 when they were a good product.
Well, because its not the main focus of the product, just a side attraction. No knockout is going to be one of the main stars in the company anyway, so its not as important. That said, I do believe Victoria could be beneficial anyway in putting over new knockouts when they come along. As I said, they needed somebody who has been there done that, as it makes them instantly credible. Nobody in the division was credible besides Kong, and that was the problem.
I would also like to say that it isn't necessarily signing the big names that's a bad idea, its the way TNA have booked them. They could easily have justified all of their big name signings with good booking. The reason they have not created any real stars of their own recently is not because those guys are there, its because TNA can't book.

Yes, which is why 3 new/old signings won't benefit them at all. It doesn't really matter wether they bring in hasbeen A or hasbeen B, the problem doesn't change and the product stays shit.
I don't really care about the knockouts so I won't bother debating them, but surely if Kong is the only credible one they have the smart thing to do would be to use her to make others credible? It's hardly like Victoria herself is that credible, either.

She is, because she's a veteran who has achieved a lot in wrestling.
And as for Kong, yes you are right and that's what they have been trying to do, but it hasn't really worked. I think they need a top face for the division short term, and Victoria will be good.

What has she acheived really though? She was flavour of the month for a short while in the WWE's womens division but after the initial fued with Trish I can't recall her ever being anything more than filler.

Yeah but the simple fact that she was in WWE for so long makes her a lot more credible than most of their existing ones.
