I agree that the Tag Division is strong, but the Tag Title Tournament currently being held has shown exactly why TNA's bookers are fucking morons. Motor City Machine Gun's eliminated by Suicide and Amazing Red! What? Two guys who just met face off with one of the most over teams in the division (who are heels for no reason) and beat them? No, That's stupid.
Lethal consequences. Two black guys, let's have them tag. For no reason. Jay Lethal should be dropping the comedy schtick and be getting involved with AJ, Joe and Daniels against the MEM... But noooooo. TNA knows best. They'll let him wallow in the Tag Division and do fuck all to make him credible as a singles competitor again.
Gah! As much as I love some of the guys in TNA, it just makes me so mad sometimes.
Its called storyline development. If the Machine Guns won every match then what would that achieve? Losing to Suicide (Red was right place right time) ment the Guns could complain about Daniels screwing them out of another title and lead into the current situation with Lethal Conseqeucnes, MCMG, Daniels and Suicide.
Lethal Consequences. Two young guys (About a year between them) who are friends with each other and have a lot of similar intrests, lets have them tag. Race and color doesnt come into this. The comedy schtick is what made Lethal a two time X-Division champion. Before Black Machismo he was a nobody in the X-Division and was never going to win the title.

Yeah Lethal is pretty abysmal. There was a reason he used to wear green tights. I know a lot of people hate on it, but I'm digging the Black Machismo gimmick. I like the Lethal Consequences tag team, but I do think the MCMG losing to Amazing Red and Suicide set the bullshit meter pretty high for a moment there. Sure, it's storyline development, but it was for a pretty shitty storyline in my opinion.

It's called bad storyline development. The Suicide/Daniels plotline is one of the worst handled angles in TNA at the moment, and that's saying a lot considering the MEM blunder, Foley's Title reign, Lashley's appearance (and apparent disappearance), Samoa Joe's new gimmick, and the plethora of other TNA fuck ups right now.

What do they have in common, other than shitty 80's characters and the fact they are both African-American wrestlers? Jay may not have been anything before the Macho Man tribute act, but being a tribute act for as long as he has makes him close as need be to nothing now. He needs to continue on in his career as himself or he'll never get above the mid-card.
