RJ Commentary on: Mick Foley and Jeff Jarret Wrestling!
Vince McMahon Sr. once said to Vince McMahon Jr. that the promoter(s) should never wrestle. And although WWE had Vince McMahon wrestle every now and then, and Eric Bischoff wreslted every now and then in WWE and in WCW, we never saw their promoters wrestle every week on the main event status.
Within the TNA World, we see the promoter as the TOp Champion. We see Jeff Jarrett in main event storylines, we see the promoters be the top guys, and it's not cool.
I am a huge fan of allowing the promoter to wrestle, I think it is funny. But they Shouldn't be in the main event every week. We shouldnt see them as the world champion, and defenatly should see them making matches to benifet themselves.
What are your thoughts.

My WWE Universe NOC is UP! Check It Out! Credit and Thanks to: Doctor Doom for Banner. AWESOME DUDE!
Re: RJ Commentary on: Mick Foley and Jeff Jarret Wrestling!
Eh Foley is only kayfabe though. There's a difference between an on-screen power figure wrestling/being champion than someone like Jeff Jarrett/Vince McMahon actually main eventing/being champion.

Re: RJ Commentary on: Mick Foley and Jeff Jarret Wrestling!
Neither are actually the promotors. Both are wrestlers who are under wrestling contracts. Dixie Carter and Panda Energy more or less own TNA and by default are the promotors. Dixie has appeared on TNA twice in its history. Once on TNA Today and again on a pre-show. Panda Energy i dont think has ever even been mentioned an screen. The actual promotors have never wrestled and probably never will.

Again
Quote:

He was co-founder but sold most of his stake to Panda. Considering how little of the company Jarrett actually owns today, calling him the promotor is a stretch.

Re: RJ Commentary on: Mick Foley and Jeff Jarret Wrestling!
Not really when he still has such a huge input in the business dealings.
On the topic - I have no problem with people with authority in the company wrestling as long as they are good enough and put people over. Foley is not good enough and will most likely not put anyone who is worthy over. Jarrett has actually been pretty impressive since his return from what I have seen, one of the better guys on the roster. Dunno wether he'll actually put anyone over, though. Probably not as it is TNA.
Re: RJ Commentary on: Mick Foley and Jeff Jarret Wrestling!
Jarrett is founder, part-owner and booker for TNA, he counts as promoter I'd say.
But yeah, these guys should not be main eventing all the time, or holding title belts when you have guys like Styles, Joe, Daniels and Lethal doing bugger all.
