Truth is, Samoa Joe needs to lose weight. He has obviously put on at least 10 or so pounds since having to leave. He doesn't need to be skinny by any means, just back to his old weight where it wasn't painful to watch him walk to the ring.

IIRC WWE had originally wanted Joe to be in Umaga's role, so highly doubtful they saw something a small company like TNA and decided to steal their idea.
Pretty much every other person in the WWE who debuts has an undeafeted streak.

What did they steal from ECW?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Im not one of those guys who talks about or even likes ECW that much because lets be honest, its a glorified indy promotion thats legacy exists because Vince Mccmahon thinks it should but theyve stolen heaps.
The attitude era and Stonecolds base character are strait from ECW. StoneCold and his smoking skull title are a lot like Taz and his FTW title arent they? And the attitude was being brought to ECW long before WWE, thats what gave them a ppv deal. Austin= Taz+Sandman

Taz's FTW title was more like the Million Dollar Belt in that it was basically a prop. Stone Cold's smoking skull belt was the WWE title, just his version of it, similar o how Cena defaced the WWE title with a spinner

Big difference between Joe back then when he was working curtain jerkers in Japanese indys and now, no reason to make him look like a fucking moron.

I agree with the OP. Joe is getting chunky and I just hate this new violence of nation gimmick where all his matches last for 30 seconds. Plus the whole knife thing just pushes it over the edge.
