Alright, I'm one of those who is often critical of TNA. I'm not a hater, I just don't find a lot to love at this point. I never got into TNA back in the "heyday" and though I will often watch now, its often frustrating as I find that I dislike or get annoyed at as much or than I actually like about it.
I do like a number of the workers in TNA. Love Samoa Joe, though his current gimmick is a bit frustrating. Guys like Angle, Styles, Daniels, etc. I recently watched the Daniels-Styles-Joe X Division threeway from 2005 that is so highly regarded and I loved it. I also randomly picked up TNA's Best of the Bloodiest Brawls DVD awhile back and it had some good stuff... and some pretty meh stuff.
So here's my request... Help me get into TNA. I've gotten into ROH recently, as well as a lot of Puro stuff. I would love to have another alternative to the WWE. What I'm basically looking for is some match recommendations to really show off the best of TNA. Explanations of what you, as a fan, find so appealing about TNA would also be cool.

Last year's Styles vs Angle Last Man Standing match is pretty great and worth checking out. Only match of last year from TNA worth watching imo. The stipulation stops it from having the typical Angle "suplex, suplex, suplex, suplex, ANKLE LOCK" psycology, lots of good brawling, no trashy hardcore shit, Angle busts out some nutty spots and takes some bumps that can do him no favours health-wise, really nice build throughout the match, lots of nice counters down the line and some great selling. I don't think you could expect a better Angle match these days.
Not sure wether thats the sort os answer you're looking for or not, but yeah....

Papa's post pretty much sums up how I feel about TNA myself. Then mix that with trying to already catch 4 hours of WWE programming in a week, 5 if you count ECW and you're just kinda like "Why bother?"
I almost can't even put my finger on it. I really do want to like it. TNA just seems so mish mashed put together. They also find one main storyline and just shove it down your throat with little left for everyone else to do.
It really feels like watching old WCW Thunder and I feel bad about it almost. There are certainly guys worth watching and they are all talented guys. I think for me its lack of substantial storylines that you actually care about and that friggin 6 sided ring is just so stupid. I really think at the end of the day that ring totally kills it for me.
That may be a dumb reason to alot, but it just doesn't feel and look right.

Thats just a few from the first 2 years, I could have named a hell of a lot more from them 2 yeras and theres been loads more since. Catch a few that Ive listed above and you cant go far wrong.
The problem Mark is all those matches are at least 3 years old. I think people are looking fo reasons to watch on a weekly basis in 2009.

1 - It is not PG Rated, like the WWE is.
2 - New talent to watch, and different match types
3 - And finally how can you not watch Taylor Wilde or The Beautiful People.

Actually, I'm happy finding some old matches that might help me get into TNA. Its probably weird logic, but if I really start to enjoy the older stuff, I think it will help me appreciate the current offering a bit more.

1. A good thing. But not so much when it leads to some of the current Samoa Joe stuff.
2. Yeah, there's some new talent. But the top guys are all the old former WWE and WCW guys, still. TNA really isn't creating much for new stars.
3. Looking at the lovelies is never a bad thing. But I'm not going to watch TNA for... well, the TnA. Some might and that's cool, but I won't do that with a regular TV show either.
