Is it just me, or has TNA got a lot more edgy recently? It has always been fairly edgy compared to WWE, but recently it seems like they have really been taking advantage of WWE's PG Rating and doing things that WWE can't, or refuse to. Examples from this week's IMPACT! include Joe putting a knife to Steiner's throat, West calling Tenay a prick etc. They also do things like backstage brawls which are never seen in WWE nowadays.
I personally think this is what TNA should be doing. IMPACT! is very entertaining at the moment because they give us things we don't see in WWE. It is a great way to attract more fans by providing a true alternative to WWE rather than just a smaller version.
Have you noticed TNA becoming more edgy? Do you approve of this direction?

Steiner in general is fucking hilarious. Can't believe Joe put a knife to his throat though lol. Imagine that in WWE.
I dont get what angle they are going with there? I mean he's what insane now? I can see wanting to beat the crap out of someone, but holding knives to their throat? WTF haha.
I havent been watching TNA lately so I can't put it into context, but I thought that segment was pretty over the top and unrealistic. As if Joe would be able to just bring a HUGE FUCKING MACHETE to work and not only have no one notice, but not get punished for it (I'm making that assumption).
Also, the Mafia look like tools in tracksuits.

lol its a good point but I have to say I didn't think about what I was watching. I was mainly just wondering about where they are going with Joe's character. I approve of him being insane though, makes him more interesting. He was at his best when he was the sort of guy who was capable of anything. His new gimmick makes him pretty intimidating.
And yeah they do look like tools in tracksuits lol.

Holding the knife makes him look weaker, I mean, what's wrong with threatening to kill someone with your bare arms, like the Kakina Clutch (sp?). That was the feeling when he came into TNA.
