I keep hearing this over and over again but I don't see how.. he held 7 WWE recognized world belts, two TNA world belts, and an IWGP (if you wanna count that). So that's ten. One is questionable. How is he a 13 time world champion?

But honestly someone should come up with a poll to see which one should be considered real world titles.
That honestly depends on who is recognizing the World Titles. Most people go by PWI's recognized belts, but companies choose whether or not to recognize the titles as World Champions. For example, TNA recognized WWE's World Title, but WWE doesn't recognize theirs.
Anyways, I was pondering this myself the other day. As soon as Sting said it I was first like "Wow, it just seemed like yesterday when it was 2004 angle was only a 4 tme WWE Champion....wait...how can he have held a belt that many times since then?"
WCW World Champion is 1, World Champion makes 2, WWE Championx4 makes 6, IWGP Champion makes 7, and then TNA Championx2 makes 9 and if you count the one that TNA doesn't recognize because of the NWA Take Reclimation complication.
He also was a PPW Champion (I don't know, either?) and then if you want to count his gold medals or his amature accomplishments like NCAA winnings. I don't know. It's definitely disputed.

Olympics should have NOTHING to do with pro wrestling. It's apples and oranges.
So if Michael Phelps decides to become a WWE wrestler, will he walk in with more title reigns than HHH?
Just dumb.
So does this mean if and when Christian wins the ECW title the WWE will say its his first major title?
