Unless im mistaken, the majority of this forum seem to either dislike or simply hate Brutus Magnus. So, am i the only one who actually likes him? Sure he is rough around the edges, but considering he is very inexpieranced at this level there has to be more of a reason than that as to why you dislike him. Granted, his entrance attire is awful, but other then that, i dont see why all the hate for the man.

I see some upside for him, but the gimmick he's in right now is just awful. Between the name, and the outfit it needs to go. Maybe they can just drop it for awhile, and bring him back under a new name, and gimmick.
His wrestling too is pretty green, I'm not expert on wrestling but jeez it's rough to watch. He does have a good look though. he's in good shape, and could possible rebound from this.

The first thing to dislike is the typical ''I'm English, I hate Americans'' gimmick. Why do WWE and TNA use the exact same gimmick with every heel not from America? Gets fucking annoying after a while. I've heard the sort of promos Magnus cuts hundreds of times before.
I don't really like his gimmick in general, including his ''Gladiator'' thing he has going. In the ring he just seems very average but obviously we have not had too much time to judge him as yet.

It's because at one time, those were your money making heels. Those were the heels that fans could hate easier than all others. But this isn't 1969, you can add a little variety for the non-American heels.
However, being a Roman Gladiator, why would Magnus hate America? America wasn't around in the glory days of the Holy Roman Empire and if he's still wearing the threads back then, I assume he's basically from the past. I'm not really up-to-date with Italy's political stance with America, but I can't recall hearing they hated America that much. But then again, is he said to be English? Because why would he be an English Gladiator? I can't recall hearing about the glory days of the English Gladiators in my history class.

I wouldnt say his gimmick is that of an anti american, thats Sheik Abdul Bashir. Magnus is a cocky guy who looks down on Americans and every other nationality that isnt English.

For the bolded part, that's just wrestling. From day one, foreign people = heel. The snooty Brit, the arrogant German, the monster Russian, the evil Middle Eastern sheik.. as classic a bunch of archatypes as the pretty boy blonde heel or the mega hero baby face. I like the classics, the day there's no room for an sheik or asshole British guy in wrestling is the day I stop watching.
