At the end of Impact we had a shocker to end the broadcast, in Samoa Joe claiming to the Main Event Mafia they are going to see the 'real' Samoa Joe, and most notably had a tatoo aroud his right eye.
What does this mean? Where will it go? Thoughts?
Personally I think it's good their reshaping the Samoa Joe character especially after being used as a tool over the past few months. I believe the trasntition is going to show the badass style he had when he first joined TNA.
I find it funny that months ago TNA fans were bashing the E for them stealing Samoa Joe with Umaga when the two had nothing in common, and now Samoa Joe is wearing face paint.
If this brings back the sadistic Joe everyone loved, I'm all for it.
No it doesnt, he is from California or American Samoa as they billed him. Suddenly a "tattoo" of Samoan culture makes him a new man? Maybe if he lost some weight, I'd believe him.
Im all for a sadistic Samoa Joe, but nothing has changed except for the face paint. I need TNA to show me a sign, how about the towel he used to carry to the ring in the early days, something. Right now he is still fat and face paint doesnt change the fact that he lost two straight times thanks to a low blow.
So Im watching the most God Awful TNA impact this week, between the nails on a chalk board rambling disgrace of Booker T on announcing, and the worst booking ever, with peteys hand tied up, a wepons match for Abyss only, that saw no real wepon use, probably because it would kill steiner, we get the real Samoa Joe returning.
Did Anyone else notice how fat Samoa Joe was in the end of show vintege?. Joe looks like hes stacked 30 pounds on, his face is big and fat and round, the back of his neck was flabby, and he just looks out of shape. Joes always walked a fine line with his weight, but this is to much. If I can bring myself to watch impact next week Ill be interested to see if he returns, and how fat he has really got.
And what exactly does his appearance have to do with anything? Austin didnt look to be perfectly in shape but that didnt affect him in anyway. Bryan Danielson isnt the slimmest guy in the world yet is considered one of the best wrestlers today. What does his appearance have to so with anything?

But that's the thing, it has affected his in-ring ability. I don't think he is much bigger than he was, but there is no denying that he is much more sluggish than he was in 2005.
In 2005 he was in the X-Division so had to move faster than he does now. If he was put back in the X-Division against the same level of opposition then i believe he could get back to the same level. Being in the Heavyweight division, he doesnt need to move as fast anymore because his opponents arent as fast (for the most part).

In my book sluggish means slower. Which is what i was refering to in my previous post. He doesnt need to be as fast now that he is competing in the Heavyweight division.
