Picked up the ROH Year 5 DVD set the other day, had a hankering for some peak ROH.

First match is AJ Styles vs. Matt Sydal. Hearing AJ referred to as a vet in 2006 is pretty wild

Eight minutes into the very first episode of Thunder and I’ve watched four different recap montages about the dissension between nWo.

Been away from wrestling for some time, recently read that Bret Hart came back and faced McMahon at Wrestlemania! So was looking to hear people's thoughts, also saw he wrestled more than once too, assume he wasn't in the same in the ring but did he do much?

Yeah about 8 years ago. Wow, long time to be way from wrestling. As for the match, he didn't really do much at all tbh. In fact the best part of the thing was Bruce Hart walking on Vince I wouldn't recommend it but if you want to see it, go for it.

His 2010 run is very very very bad. Not his fault but he stumbled all over the place when he got on the mic. As for the matches, he had about 5 matches, won the US title and wasn't allowed to take a single bump. The match with Vince is one of the worst matches in Wrestlemania history.

Definitely check out his return from the January 4th 2010 episode of Raw though.

It's a cool footnote in history but not something I'd ever suggest actually watching. US title reign, Summerslam main event, etc. Neat that it happened, but...

These two videos never fail to make me laugh. The first moron with his crooked nose just being his painfully dull character and the awful stumbled loop talking from Mr. (Not So) Perfect's son.

I think it's pretty evident he wasn't scripted. Part of the problem

There's only so many ways that you can say something about starting your career in vocabulary choices. Stopping and starting while saying the same phrase is trash. The fact the crowd didn't even react was hilarious.

He's a horrible wrestler anyways. I don't know how or why he's even still around.

Eh. Even if he's horrible, and I wouldn't say he is, would you want to see a really good guy in his spot? Not everyone can be a top guy, there's always a role for guys who are lackeys/enhancement/etc.

Not really. Even as an underling he's just not super interesting. I know being in a smaller stable position he's part of an extension of another's ego/storyline but just eh.

Even for mid card he's just kinda whatever. I remember his push with Heyman and that proved...nothing.

It just baffles me how some people stay on the roster for so long when others get dropped for no reason only to creep up again later if they do manage to return. Out of that whole Nexus group i'd consider him on the lower end of the totem pole.

    Guilty as charged.

I know he's come along way since that 2010 promo but it's an epitome of failure that I revisit for laughter when it comes to wrestling.

    No harm, no foul.

I didn’t know where else to put this, but I think it’s an awesome thing to do for someone so beloved here in San Diego.

But they put it on the same day as Rusev Day, which is pretty fucking disrespectful.

    Re: Random Wrestling Talk

I've been watching WCW PPVs, beginning with Starrcade 1999 to basically relive the demise of the company. Honestly, the first few PPVs of 2000 weren't terrible but I just got done with Spring Stampede and... yikes. The New Blood vs. The Billionaire's Club is a horrible idea. The first problem being that based off the names of the groups you'd expect The New Blood to be the faces and The Billionaire Club to be heels. Then you have guys with The New Blood that don't even seem like they belong in it. This whole PPV they just weren't calling DQs because apparently that's not what fans want to see. I also don't want to see every match end in some kind of shady finish but Russo didn't let that get in his way. This event had Jimmy Hart facing Mancow who is a radio personality, Bam Bam Bigelow attacking The Cat to inexplicably take his place in a match only for The Cat to attack Bigelow mid-match and take his place back, cops pulling guns on Hulk Hogan and The New Blood winning every title in the company due to Russo's meddling. A good 80% of the matches ended in swerves with the only passable parts of the show being Sting vs. Booker which was early in the card, and Mike Aweome being awesome as he usually was. Everyone on the roster besides Jarrrett, Kidman and Hogan just kinda seem to be floating with mostly vague storylines and personas. The whole show was really atrocious and I'm worried the next event will be just as bad, if not worse. But, I've made it this far so I'm going to keep pushing.

The next PPV has my pick for the most offensive moment in WCW history.
