    Raw Results And Discussion

Here are this weeks results, I will do a review later

Last night, Superman returned to the ring and he vanquished Chris Jericho to win the World Title. While one other champion had a solid showing, the other three champions on the Raw brand did not fare too well. You will have to wait until Friday night for discussion of the big return to the ring. We may have seen the formation of a new super group after the success of Team Shawn Michaels with Rey Mysterio, Great Khali, and Shawn being the survivors at the end of their match against The Bedazzlers (Paul Miller deserves credit for this one). What will happen tonight as we start the build to Armageddon and the Royal Rumble? Will we see anybody debut or return tonight? Will we see any John Cena video packages showing footage of his triumphant return from the Fortress of Solitude?
We start off tonight with Shane McMahon arriving at the building and he sees Cryme Tyme and he asks Shane to ark his car. Shane hugs Kelly and then he gives his jacket to Dolph Ziggler.

We are live from Providence, Rhode Island and your announcers are Michael ‘Looking for the Acoustic Sweet Spot’ Cole and Jerry ‘If Chris Jericho shaves his head, can he be Lex Luthor’ Lawler.

Shane McMahon comes out from the Gorilla Position. Shane reminds us that John Cena is the World Champion after Survivor Series. That puts them in a dilemma because there are two people with championship rematch clauses in their contracts. Those two men are Chris Jericho and Batista. Tonight we will see Chris Jericho face Batista to see who will challenge John Cena at Armageddon for the World Title. Shane tells us that John Cena is here.

So is Stephanie McMahon who gives her brother a peck on the cheek. Stephanie says that as a former champion who was injured, Randy Orton has a valid basis to be the number one contender. Randy Orton is added to the match and it is a Triple Threat Match. Stephanie says that she would have told Shane earlier, but she knows how much she loves surprises.

Shane and Stephanie have a conversation that cannot be heard by the people in the building or on television. Stephanie says that we will see The Miz and John Morrison against Shawn Michaels and Rey Mysterio.

Stephanie tells Shane that this is her show and she tells him that he has tried to stab her in the back before and she will not let it happen again. Shane says that Stephanie is way off base. Shane says that he is here for two reasons. First, he wants to have fun. The second is to make Raw a better show. Stephanie tells Shane if he wants this to be a better show, he should get back in his Ferrari and drive back to New York. Stephanie tells Shane that he can run the company and Stephanie can run the show. Shane asks Stephanie if she is going to run things on her own or will she sleep with someone in the back and get a new husband. Stephanie slaps Shane and Shane tells Stephanie that he is going to watch Stephanie run Raw into the ground.

Lawler and Cole are speechless before they talk about John Cena.

We are back and we see footage from earlier tonight when Chris Jericho ‘Edged’ his way into the title match at Armageddon.

Chris Jericho is in the ring and he says that everyone must think that a new era has arrived with John Cena as champion. Jericho reminds everyone of the last time that everyone thought things would change. That was when Batista robbed him of the title. Eight days later, Chris Jericho became World Champion again. In three weeks, the same thing will happen to John Cena. At the end of the year 2008, nothing will have changed because he will be the World Champion.

John Cena appears on the HootieTron and he tells Jericho to stop. Cena reminds us that Jericho lost the title last night. He has also lost his grasp of reality. Chris thinks that he is above everybody else. Cena says that Jericho wants to call everybody hypocrites. Cena says that they do not like a smug looking guy in a form fitting suit. Cena says that he is not here alone tonight. He tells Jericho if he wants to welcome Cena, he will have to welcome all of them.

Cena comes to the ring and he tells Jericho to listen to the crowd. He wants Chris to look into the crowd because no matter what differences they have, they all have one thing in common. They care about the WWE. Every time they come to an arena, these people spend their hard earned money so they can stand up and cheer, boo, get rowdy, and make some noise. They do it because they have passion. All they ask in return is that when they step in the ring, they share the passion. If not for the fans, none of this exists. John tells Jericho that he is not here to start a new era. All he wants to do is give everything he has to the fans every time.

Jericho asks the crowd if they agree with John Cena and then he says that he does not give a damn about what they agree with. Jericho runs through a list of wrestlers he has defeated. Cena stops him and he tells Jericho that they are different people. Cena says that Jericho talks business while he means business.

Jericho leaves the ring. Cena says that is alright. He expected that Jericho would do that because they will fight at Armageddon. Cena wants to clear the air between them. The match last night was a hell of a match. Cena says that Jericho has the ability to wrestle in the ring. Cena says that Chris Jericho comes out to claim that he needs to save this place. Cena says that he likes this place. Jericho belittles the foundation that the WWE was built on, the fans. Cena tells Jericho that he has been lying all this time and it is because of the title. Cena says that he is as much of a WWE fan as them and by holding the belt, he is good enough. This means that they do not need saving.

Jericho returns to the ring and he says that he is the champ, not Cena. Jericho says that Cena does not intimidate him or impress him. Jericho says that Cena is scared of him. Jericho tells Cena to look at him. Jericho says that he will take the title at Armageddon and Cena knows it. Jericho says that he will beat him and prove that Cena is a flash in the pan. When it is all said and done, Cena is nothing more than a worm and coward of a man.

Cena punches Jericho and then he Irish whips him into the corner and Cena hits a running elbow. Cena with a suplex and elbow drops before he throws Jericho out of the ring. Cena sends Jericho into the announce table and then the ring steps. Cena Irish whips Jericho into the ring steps. Cena rearranges the ring steps and then he tries to hit Jericho with them and he does as Jericho goes over the ringside barrier into the crowd. Cena sends Jericho back into the ring and he hits a clothesline. Cena with a full nelson to Jericho and then he applies the STFU. We go to credits as Cena stands over Jericho with the title belt and Kane watches from the back as he prepares for next week.

    Re: Raw Results And Discussion

I mentioned this in the Raw live thread, but I felt like John Cena should have been telling me to take my vitamins and listening to my parents...

I'm not the biggest Cena fan but I do respect the guy for his work ethic and all that. But man... does the WWE even realize it fans over the age of 8 anymore?

    Re: Raw Results And Discussion

Oh, that last segment was just horrible and a reminder on why I don't like Cena. His "beatdown" looked like shit and it seemed like he couldn't make up his mind on what he wanted to do.

The only reason I even watched it was because Jericho was in it and, well, he's greatness.

I actually turned the channel on Kennedy when I realized that was all he was doing.
