John Morrison: Future of sports entertainment or Mid card for life??

When anybody in WWE is recieving a push you always find the commentators reffereing to them as the future of WWE, some of them make it and some of them don’t. For example John Cena made it to the big leagues of Main event whilst others that were dubbed the future remain in the mid card like Shelton Benjamin. But someone that seems to be getting more attention of being dubbed the future is John Morrison.

In my opinion I see John Morrison being the future he certainly has what it takes to make it in wrestling, At the end of the day it is what creative thinks of them. But with someone that has Morrisons microphone ability and has the charisma, it would be stupid not to push him into that Main event spot. He has already achieved so much in his career winning the Intercontinental title and winning several tag team titles, even making the Miz look good.

Right now he isn’t ready for that push, but if they slowly build him up in the next 2 years giving him big wins over established stars and putting him in high profile feuds against the likes of Shawn Michaels then I definitely think the world will have to take notice of John Morrison and people will start to see he does have what it takes to be a serious Main eventer and even a WWE champion.

But on the other hand Shelton Benjamin is super talented and he is seemingly mid card for life, so will John Morrison be mid card for life or can he break through to the main event???.

John Morrison will break through to the top cause he has good wrestling skills, good mic skills, charisma, and of course the sexy look. Benjamin although he is a super talent has no charisma or mic skills and don't really have the look either. Morrison also has a good character and the fans are into him unlike Shelton Benjamin.

I think it's odd how fans aren't into Benjamin, yet he's the one who gets people off their asses at PPV's with things he does in the ring. I think creative can't give him anything to work with, and if they do, it's some stereotypical black thing.

Morrison is the future though. He has everything. Everything out the stage to perform on. ECW....?

I agree Benjamin deserves better but most of the fans are not into him.

I think they could completely master Benjamin to be a wrestling machine like Kurt Angle was, although Benjamin lacks the intensity of Angle. But still a gimmick of some sort for Benjamin should be done, cause he hasn't really got a character now which is a shame considering how hard he works and his abilities in the ring.

    Morrison sucks.

I know I'll be going against the general consensus (Or so it seems), but I really get bored by him. His in-ring work is generally really sloppy - he attempts moves that look intricate and then messes them up. He isn't good on the mic and DOES lack charisma... everyone here says he has charisma. I have yet to see it! Christian has charisma. Jericho has charisma. HBK has charisma. Morrison? Meh.

As for Benjamin.. I love the 'Wrestling machine' sort of angle for him. A return to how he was in Team Angle with more of a fleshed out gimmick would be awesome for him. Perhaps give him a male manager to help sell him on the mic side of things, let Shelton do all the talking in the ring.. it works for me.

    Mid carder for life.

He just doesn't have what it takes.

I think he is one of the most talented wrestlers in WWE right now. he has the look, the ability and the charisma. If he doesn't make main event status then I would be mad. He could be the top heel in the company in my mind and in all honesty he should be.

I can't remember the last time I saw Morrison botch. I think it was in his fued with Punk. If he's botches since then I havent seen it.

Also, he is very charismatic. You don't have to have a whole range of voice tones and yell on the mic to be charismatic. Morrison's voice and general posture is that of the snooty Hollywood asshat who looks down on everyone. It prefectly suits his charactor.

Morrison definitely has a main event slot in the future IMO...just as long as he isn't rushed there then he's one to keep a look on in the future. The only thing that he lacks at the moment is his promo time. he has a rigid delivery and needs to sound a bit more spontaneous
