    TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

Samoa Joe (c) vs. Scott Steiner vs. Kurt Angle

With Kurt Angle injured this match wont be a good as it could have been. Nash showed some heel signs on iMPACT! so i think he will interfer but wont cost Joe the title. Rick Steiner is in attandance so he'll probably get involved aswell.

    Winner: Samoa Joe.

    DEUCES WILD TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT

For the TNA World Tag Team Championship: Featuring Team 3D, AJ Styles & Super Eric, Latin American Xchange, Christian Cage & Rhino, Sting and James Storm, Matt Morgan & Kip James, Booker T, Awesome Kong, Robert Roode, BG James

Two teams left to be drawn & im still hoping for a Roode/Kong teaming. When they lose Roode berates Kong like he does to all the women, Kong takes him out with an Awesome Bomb :D

The only teaming i dont like is AJ Styles & Super Eric. Im not a fan of Matt Morgan & Kip James either but i expect them to cost each other the match.

    Winners: L.A.X.

THE DEBUT OF THE TERRORDOME MATCH

To determine the #1 contender to the X Division Championship
"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Curry Man vs. Kaz vs. Alex Shelley vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Chris Sabin vs. Johnny Devine vs. Shark Boy vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Consequences Creed

This should have been built better. We didnt know who was in it until Thursday. Jay Lethal is the obvious choice since the winner become Number One contender to the X-Division title. But if they want to go with Sonjay/Lethal this is the best chance by having Sonjay cost Lethal the win. I'd like to see Kaz win but i dont think he will.

    Winner: Jay Lethal.

    TNA KNOCKOUT MAKEOVER MATCH

One wins a title shot, while another gets her head shaved!
Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky vs. Rhaka Khan vs. Roxxi vs. Salinas vs. Christy Hemme vs. Traci Brooks vs. Jacqueline

At fist its confusing but when you break it down its fairly simple.
    A 10 Knockout battle royal.
When we are down to 2 it become a ladder match.
    Winner is number one contender.
Runner up gets her head shaved. Unless it Gail Kim in which case third place gets her head shaved.

Christy or Traci wont be getting their head shaved. Hemme is a lead singer so the hair is vital, Traci has just been re-invented so it wont change again so soon.

    Gail is immune.

Voodoo Queen's always have hair so not Roxxi.

Salinas being runner up would take away from the Deuce's Wild so no.

That only leaves ODB, Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, Rhaka Khan & Jacquline. ODB, Khan or Jacquline would be the easy options, ODB & Khan would play into their gimmicks & Jacquline is always wearing a hat. Unfortunatly, Sky & Love could feud out of it. With whoever get her head shaved being ditched because she is no longer beautiful.

Final two i think will be Gail & ODB, with Angelina Love in third place. ODB will expect Gail to let her win since Gail cant get her head shaved. Gail wont let her win tho.

    Winner: Gail Kim
    Runner up: ODB

The card might seem small, but the Deuce's Wild tournament will be seven matches.

Well, a buddy is ordering it, so I'll be watching and I'll report back on what I thought of the show. Terrordome intrigues me.

Think about it. This could either be really good or very bad. 10 guys in a cage could be way too crowded

Well we had 12 in cuffed in the cage last month. I think this a bigger structure like the elimination chamber with the extra width.

    - AJ Styles & Super Eric defeated BG James & Awesome Kong in a Deuces Wild Quarterfinal
    - Kaz won the first-ever TerrorDome match to become the #1 contender to the X Division Championship, as well as a shot at the World Title in the main event.
    - Team 3D defeated Christian Cage and Rhino in the Deuces Wild Semifinal
    - The Latin American Xchange beat AJ Styles & Eric Young in the Deuces Wild Semifinal
    - Gail Kim won the TNA Knockout Makeover match, earning a Women's Title shot. Roxxi Laveaux ended up getting her head shaved, thanks to interference by Angelina Love.
    - The Latin American Xchange defeated Team 3D in the finals of the Deuces Wild Tournament to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions
    - Samoa Joe defeated Scott Steiner and Kaz in the main event to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

COMPLETE RESULTS FROM THE TNA SACRIFICE PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT:

    - The Pay-Per-View began with footage earlier of Kurt Angle arriving to the arena and announcing he would be unable to compete tonight, by doctor's orders, due to a neck injury he suffered in a recent match in Korea. Moments later, Scott Steiner arrived with Petey Williams, Rhaka Khan and brother Rick Steiner. Scott Steiner commented on Angle's announcement, then cameras caught Kevin Nash emerging from the same limo! After that, Jeremy Borash caught up with Samoa Joe, who was unaware that Nash had arrived with Steiner!

    - In the opening quarterfinal match of the Deuces Wild Tournament, Team 3D beat Sting and James Storm to advance. In the end, Team 3D had set up a table and were going to put Sting through it (with Storm supporting Team 3D to do it). But 3D heard enough of Storm and walked away, allowing Sting to slam his partner through the table! Sting then left the ring - allowing Team 3D to get the easy win to advance.

    - In another Deuces Wild Quarterfinal match, Rhino and Christian Cage beat the team of Booker T and Robert Roode after Rhino hit Roode with the Gore for the pin. After the match, a visibly upset Booker T shocked the world and double-crossed Rhino and Cage, smashing them both with a steel chair!

    - The Latin American Xchange defeated the team of Kip James and Matt Morgan in a Deuces Wild Quarterfinal match. Morgan and James put aside their differences to attempt to win the tournament, but the LAX were too much for them as Hernandez got the win over Kip after Morgan inadvertently hit James with a big boot.

    - Backstage, an irate Kurt Angle confronted AJ Styles over whether The Phenomenal One was seeing his wife Karen!

    - In the final Deuces Wild Quarterfinal, the tandem of AJ Styles & Super Eric defeated BG James and Awesome Kong after AJ Styles got the pin on BG James with a small package. Awesome Kong certainly proved she could get the best of her male counterparts, taking the fight to AJ and Super Eric each time she got in the ring.

    - Backstage, Rick Steiner was interviewed about coming to the PPV to support his brother Scot Steiner.

    - Before the start of the TerrorDome match, TNA Management Director Jim Cornette announced that the winner of the bout would become the third participant in the main event for the World Title!

    - In the match, Kaz won what certainly lived up to a death-defying, high-flying bout among TNA's X Division superstars. By escaping first and winning the match, Kaz not only becomes the new number-one contender to the X Division Championship, but he earned a shot at the World Title in the main event.

    - Backstage, Jeremy Borash tried to interview Samoa Joe about the main event, but Joe went into a rage when JB asked him about Nash showing up with Steiner.

    - Team 3D defeated Christian Cage and Rhino in the first of the Deuces Wild semifinal tournament matches. Cage and Rhino had Team 3D beat on several occasions, but it was Johnny Devine that cost Rhino and Cage the match when he brought out a kendo stick for Brother Ray to use on Rhino.

    - The Latin American Xchange defeated AJ Styles and Super Eric in the second Deuces Wild Tournament semifinal when Hector Guerrero gave the assist to Homicide so he could pin AJ Styles as Salinas distracted the referee. LAX advances to the finals to face Team 3D to determine the new TNA World Tag Team Champions!

    - Gail Kim won the first-ever TNA Knockouts Makeover match, earning a shot at Awesome Kong's Women's Championship. The bout came down to Gail Kim and Roxxi Laveaux, but it was Angelina Love (who had already been eliminated) that cost Roxxi the match. As a result, Roxxi had her head shaved!

    - Backstage, Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash got into a heated argument over Nash's motives showing up with Steiner

    - In the finals of the Deuces Wild Tournament, The Latin American Xchange defeated Team 3D to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions! During the bout, Johnny Devine attempted to cost LAX the bout, but Hector Guerrero once again gave the assist to LAX to stop him by coming off the top rope and putting him through a table. Back in the ring, Hernandez hit the Border Toss on Brother Devon, followed by a frog splash from Homicide to get the win!

    - In the main event of the Pay-Per-View, Samoa Joe defeated Scott Steiner and Kaz to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! In the end, Kaz had Steiner set up for the Flux Capacitor, but Steiner knocked him out of the ring. However, Joe took the opportunity to hit Steiner with the Musclebuster to get the win and retain the World Title!

    TNA Sacrifice 2008 - Thoughts & Opinions

This thread is dedicated to what you thought of the PPV, the outcomes, and where you see TNA going from here.

I thought the tag tourney ended up being weaker than anticipated. They spent a lot of time building the egotistical eight, and none of the teams came into play. I would have preferred to see at least one of them (My pick: Roode & Booker) advance a round or two.. Now, I know some will say, well.. it makes sense that the established teams all advanced but, from a storyline perspective it could have spiced things up a bit for one of them to get on a roll and furthermore, Roode and Booker should be good enough athletes to overcome the odds.. I was however, happy that LAX won the titles. They are my favorite team in TNA.

The Knockouts match was fun as they usually are.. but did you hear everyone chanting "Fire Russo!" when Roxxy was getting her head shaved? What was that all about? I'm happy that none of the hot females were put in that position.

The Terrordome was a spotfest, a solid one at that, I do like the concept of the match.. but the end was anti-climatic.

The main event left a bit to be desired. I guess they did the best with what they could.. but it came off as one of those SD! Brand PPVs.. sort of a by the numbers conclusion.

Re: TNA Sacrifice 2008 - Thoughts & Opinions

the whole tag team tournament kinda got boring halfway thru but im also glad LAX won cuz i love em.

the knockouts match was ok untill it turned into the ladder match then it got pretty good. roxxi was the chick i predicted to get her head shaved. i really was hoping gail would just let roxxi win so angelina love would of been shaved but it wouldnt of made sense story wise cuz she wants that belt.

i really liked the terrordome. lots of great spots. i'm guessing it will be an x division specific match cuz i really doubt most of the wrestlers could climb outta that thing. i hear its a rip off of another match from mexico or something but i liked it.

the main event was pretty decent with the ppl that were in it. i actually thought for a 2nd that maybe just maybe they would give the belt to kaz but joe is having a good run so theres no point to stop him.

i hope angle gets better soon.

Re: TNA Sacrifice 2008 - Thoughts & Opinions

That was the sorriest excuse for a PPV I've seen in a long time. The Terrordome Match was god awful. The Triple Threat match was boring as hell after Joe lost his "Lol counter everything" attitude. The Deuces Wild Tournament was wildly predictable and terribly executed. This was hands down one of the Top 10 worst PPVs in my lifetime. The Knockout match was the highlight of the night. But that was even terribly booked with the "Battle Royal Ladder Match" bullshit that was confusing as hell. Shit even the announcers didn't understand it.

Best part of the night: AJ Styles faceplant botch.
Low part of the night: Terrordome

The only thing that saved it from a 1 was the Knockouts match actually being decent.

I liked a couple moves in the terrordome and the knockouts stuff was good, plus I was happy with LAX regaining their belts.. Most of the PPV made little sense.

    Re: Sacrifice - May 11th 2008 - Orlando, FL - 8 PM/et

Way too many gimmick matches but after a slow start the PPV finished much better. The Deuces Wild i lost a lot of intrest when we got a third feuding team.

James Storm & Sting vs Team 3D.

3D were never losing but i did like Storm giving up on the match & just sitting on the ring apron & drinking his beer. The end didnt really make sense as Storm was teaming with 3D only a few weeks ago, surely they would have helped him against a guy they were facing only a few weeks ago.

Booker T & Roode vs Cage & Rhino.

Am i the only one not buying the team of Cage & Rhino? Yeah we get the point that they are buddies again but giving them such a push as a team is uneeded. After the match i did however say to myself Booker is turning.

    LAX vs Kip & Morgan.

Kip & Morgan were the only one of the egotistical eight who i could see advanceing, shame they came up against LAX in the first round. They worked well together & if needs be they could be throw together team.

AJ & Super Eric vs BG & Kong.

BG & Kong worked quite well together but AJ made this match enjoyable. Firstly refusing to hit Kong then when he did saying she hit him first was fun. AJ's faceplant looked quite painful.

    Terrordome.

As i said in the other thread it was a good match but had too many people in it. If it is cut down to six in future it will be much better. When Cornette made his announcement before hand it cut the potential winners from 10 to 2.

Rave & Creed had good showings but i was expecting more between Lethal & Dutt. I said i'd like Kaz to win so im fairly happy.

Team 3D vs Cage & Rhino.

Cage seemed to forget he was supposed to be hurt at times. Glad to see Devine isnt done with 3D as it has helped him a helluvalot.

LAX vs AJ & Super Eric.

Despite the botched finish i though this was a really good match & the best so far. Super Eric however does not work as a full time gimmick.

    Knockouts Makeover.

I didnt really like the head shaving concept but the match itself was top quality even if Traci did have to eliminate herself. Im just glad Christy was gone early. Anyone else notice Salinas went through the ropes & not over? Angelina Love did a great job as the spoilt bitch afterwards.

    LAX vs Team 3D.

Another good match. Since the Terrordome the PPV has really picked up. Both teams gave good showing but LAX were always going to win.

    Steiner vs Joe vs Kaz.

Mega props to Kaz for wrestling a second long match & still lookingup to speed. The only problem with Kaz being in it, Joe or Steiner are not going to take Flux Capacitor & both should kick out of Wave of the Future. If Joe hadent just won the title i'd have marked big time if Kaz somehow won. The guy is the true Pheoniminal One.

Overall a slow start but it picked up. The main event was a little slow but with no tv shows to change the match due to Angle's injury they had to come up with something on the fly. D +

Best Match: AJ Styles & Super Eric vs LAX.
    Second Best: Knockouts makeover.
Worst match: Sting & James Storm vs Team 3D.

    Best Segment: Booker T turning.
Worst Segment: Roxxi getting her head shaved.

Best Moment: LAX winning the gold.
    Worst Moment: Styles faceplant.

    TNA Sacrifice Results & Notes

    Source:WZ

    TNA Sacrifice Pay-Per View Results - May 11, 2008

    TNA Sacrifice Opener:

The PPV opened with a video feature based on Scott Steiner vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle for Joe's TNA title.

They went to video from 7:07 PM of Kurt Angle arriving via limo to the Impact Zone. Jeremy Borash said he was in Korea when Kurt was injured and asked Angle for an update. Angle said his doctor, Dr. Jho has advised him not to wrestle tonight due to the injury. Angle said that if it was up to him, he would wrestle, but he can't afford to do so because he has three cracked vertebrae in his neck. He said he won the Olympics with a broken neck and headlined Wrestlemania with a broken neck, but he's not 25 years old anymore and if his doctor tells him not to compete, he can't.

They then went to video of Scott Steiner arriving earlier today. Lauren asked Scott his thoughts on Angle not being able to wrestle. Scott said that he didn't know anything about Angle being hurt. He said that he was originally supposed to wrestle Samoa Joe in a singles bout, so it's interesting to see what was gone down, but he still doesn't trust Angle. Lauren was surprised to see not just Rick Steiner but Kevin Nash emerge from Scott's care.

They went to footage of Jeremy Borash catching Samoa Joe as he arrived at the venue. When asked about Kurt's injury, Joe said that he had heard rumors but now that it's official, it's a shame when anyone goes down to injury, even someone he has issues with. Borash asked Joe what he thought about Nash arriving with the Steiners. Joe looked stunned, then walked off.

Team 3D vs Storm & Sting
Storm and Sting argue over who will begin, and Storm will begin. He and Devon kick things off, and Storm slaps Devon in the back of the head. Devon charges at Storm, who fires back with rights, off the ropes and a flying shoulder block by Devon. Irish whip, corner splash and then a slam by Devon. Devon with an elbow drop off of the ropes and a cover for 2. Ray tags in, suplex on Storm and a cover for 2. Ray slaps Sting, just to piss him off which allows Storm to fight back. Jackie jumps in the ring, and Ray slaps her ass. She took a great bump.

Storm now wants to tag and Sting is in. Side headlock by Ray, off the ropes and a shoulder block levels Sting. Ray charges, takes a hip toss and Sting slams him down. A clothesline by Sting and Ray rolls to the floor. Devon tags in, test of strength and then a lock up. Side headlock by Devon, off the ropes and a shoulder block by Sting. Stomps by Sting to the hands of Devon and Storm and Sting argue, Ray in and 3D beat him down and choke him out. Elbows by Devon, face scrape, snap mare and a chinlock by Devon. Storm sits on the apron and drinks a beer. Devon in control with the chinlock, Sting battles out and Devon slams him down. To the 2nd rope, head butt connects for 2. Storm continues to sit and drink. Devon misses another head butt try, Sting fights back and gets a Stinger splash.

TNA had to cut down on the size of The Pit to get the TerrorDome to fit into the Impact Zone.

Dixie Carter walked around the Impact Zone prior to the show. She had one of the TNA Tag Team Title belts with her for people to take pictures.

Jeremy Borash introduced Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins to the live crowd. He was also introduced on the live PPV

The main event of the PPV was changed to Samoa Joe vs. Steiner vs. Kaz. Obviously they didn't trust a Joe vs. Steiner single match, so Kaz was there to make it a somewhat decent match.

The Kurt Angle injury is obviously 100% legit and it's not good news at all. More on this tomorrow.

A.J Styles was not happy upon returning backstage after his botched spot during his tag team match.

The live crowd was really burned out from seeing the same guys over and over again.
It is very nice to see Kaz main eventing, was the cage a spotfest like it seemed to be or was it good? I now hope Stiener stays well clear from the main event now.
