Is Blackpool Combat Club a gimmick though or a stable? Like fair when they were about trying to unleash violence or whatever from younger wrestlers but I wouldn’t say that they have a group gimmick.

The gimmick of "Keep Danielson busy instead of putting the belt on him like I should have done in the first place #LFG" is working pretty well, minus that pesky ramp trying to end his career.

I look at it as a gimmick in the same way I look at JAS, Imperium, The Bloodline, etc. as gimmicks because there is kind of a uniting theme or purpose within those groups. BCC obviously being on a mission to restore "beautiful wrestling violence" to AEW. I'd definitely count it.

Because Regal thinks he's a great wrestler and most fans are inclined to agree with that assessment.

Regal, Bryan and Yuta are all technical wrestlers....and then you have Moxley who sticks out like a sore thumb.

like i said, the faction hardly makes sense

i like that Regal is in charge of a faction of badasses...i just dont get that from Moxley unless hes using a pizza cutter.

They haven't said they're a technical wrestling group, the vibe of the group is that they're Regal's two favourite students and a combination of great wrestling and a brutal/violent mindset that should be the shining example to the next generation of wrestlers. In Regal's first promo he says Bryan's the perfect wrestler and Moxley's a rogue and the perfect sadistic person to take things to a completely different level in the ring.

It doesn't make sense because you're trying to apply a criteria to it that they never established. They came together because Danielson wanted to snuff out all the silliness in AEW. He wanted to align with Moxley to do that because he's (kayfabe at least) the biggest ass kicker on the roster. Yuta was recruited into it after turning his back on Best Friends and having a bloody brawl with Moxley. I think you're trying too much to imagine this as some kinda of Foundation-esque stable when that isn't the case. Also bear in mind that Regal and Danielson are not strangers to bloody brawls themselves.

If anything the reason Wheeler Yuta was ultimately accepted into the BCC is because he stopped being just "a good wrestler" and became a wrestler who embraced the violence and brutality of wrestling.

The BCC is much more associated with hard-nosed, violent wrestling than it is with technical wrestling, and that gimmick actually comes across most clearly in how they work and not just in how they're presented in promos and the like.

Moxley's been training MMA for years now and having matches like he does on Bloodsport and the one vs Danielson. I don't think he's used a pizza cutter even in recent deathmatches so this is just the comment of someone who's obviously out of the loop.

To echo what others have stated, Mox more than works being in BCC because he fits the mold perfectly for violence and brutality, just as much as Danielson, Regal, and Yuta.

Mox is fairly technical too he has that bulldog choke he’s been using to win matches with. I think he’s been known to use a number of other submissions too.

At the moment, I think Ezekiel/Elias/Elrod is the new front runner for this, solely on the basis that he's making it work way better than it has any right to.

Plus, at least it's an actual gimmick as opposed to a stable that people are trying to say is a gimmick.

To me, it just feels like there's no one notable that has a standout gimmick if the standouts are a damn faction and Elias.
