In this edition of BattleCard, players will draft a roster of FWA wrestlers, past and/or present, to build a Back in Business around.
My hope is that anyone who signs up has at least working knowledge of FWA history. Be really tough for anyone who isn't/wasn't part of FWA to do this.
To be clear, every wrestler picked must have competed in at least one match for the FWA.
This game will work best with either 8 or 16 players, but I'll adjust as needed.
Draft order will be randomized, and will follow a snaking format (meaning with 12 players, who ever picks first will not pick again until pick #24).
Final rosters will consist of 18 wrestlers, to fill a card of at least 6 matches. Upon completion of the draft, players will use their drafted wrestlers to create their dream Back in Business Card, and submit their cards via PM (NOT DISCORD because it wrecks the formatting).
Standard single elimination tournament will follow.
Obviously, once a wrestler is chosen in the draft they can no longer be picked. For example, if someone picks Abyss, that means they have also picked Joseph Park, etc. They can use any incarnation of him they want. Tag teams do not count as one pick. So if you want VKM, you need to separately draft both BG James and Kip James.
Also not relevant for this game, Curryman =/= Christopher Daniels.
Each player will have a maximum of 4 hours to make their pick. If 4 hours have passed, the next in line may pick.
If a player misses their four hour window to pick, they cannot make that pick up until their next turn. This should keep things running smoother, so it doesn't look like anyone is picking out of turn.
Trades are allowed, and don’t have to be one-for-one. For example, someone can give up five wrestlers for one if they want to. All cards must still have at least 6 matches, though, no matter the size of the roster. Trades can be made at any time. If two players complete a trade, please PM me the details and I will announce it and make changes to the rosters.
Finally, I would ask that if you either dropped out of any Battlecard!, or didn't submit a card at the end of any draft, that you kindly sit this out.
RULES:
All cards must contain at least 6 matches.
The Shade Rule: Only a maximum of three gimmick matches allowed per card (Note – tag team, triple threat, fatal four-way etc. do not count as gimmicks.)
Each wrestler can only be involved in one match on your card.
You can build a scenario/storyline for the match but you don't have to.
