Ed is just really lazy and was using the thread title auto fill option too much.

anyway, Roman Vs Owens and thunder Rosa vs Britt baker were pretty good as feuds go.

Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker had a good match but feud? I don’t think. Attacking each other after matches, appearing in the crowd is all pretty cookie cutter stuff but I don’t think the feud made the match itself great.

Page vs. Omega seems like the standout AEW feud on paper but I think it never quite reached the highs it could have, perhaps thanks in part to the unfortunate stoppage in momentum. On the AEW side I might look more closely at Punk vs. Kingston and Omega vs. Christian, even though both were on the shorter end.

WWE side, is Rollins/Edge the favorite? Rarely impressed with either guy all that much but their matches actually delivered big-time.

Rollins-Edge is the WWE feud of the year by a mile as far as I'm concerned. And for that matter, I think Edge is probably my WWE wrestler of the year as well over Roman.

There’s a few extra feuds on the AEW side that could be considered…

    Cody Rhodes vs. Self Awareness
    Tony Khan vs. Self Control
    Arn Anderson vs. the stage
    Sting vs. the barricade
The Young Bucks vs. fashion sense
    Billy Gunn vs. carbs
Lance Archer’s head vs. the mat

Kidding aside, if Hangman/Omega is arguably their top feud, then I’d definitely go with Edge/Rollins over it. Like you, I generally find myself indifferent to both guys, but they managed to win me over through their hard work and storytelling within the matches.

I'd be tempted to vote for Punk vs Kingston despite it lasting 3 weeks.

Yeah the thing with Hangman vs. Omega is that it's more a storyline than a traditional feud. Technically, about everything that either man has done in this calendar year was a part of the story, but since it wasn't always direct conflict, it's harder to classify it in the same category as stuff like Rollins/Edge, Reigns/Lesnar, Punk/Kingston etc.

It would be tough for me to say what my feud of the year in AEW is. Omega/Christian, Darby/MJF and Punk/Kingston certainly come to mind there. Some more under the radar picks might be:

IC/Pinnacle. Try to ignore when it became Jericho/MJF... when it was actual faction warfare it was pretty great

    Miro/his own neck/God/his flexible wife

Shida/Deeb pending how their trilogy ends at Winter Is Coming. It hasn't gotten a great deal of spotlight but the matches have been fantastic and both women are looking great.

Lowkey Mox/Kingston/The Elite. The year began with a great feud between Omega and Mox, but unfortunately the big payoff didn't go to plan (to say the least). But they then followed it up with damage control that actually better than many normal storylines. Kingston talking about his trauma, Mox saying Kenny can't build a bomb for shit and of course the iconic "69 me, Don" moment, and that was all just within the first week afterwards. And then, the feud eventually evolved and led up to Bucks vs. Kingston and Mox at DoN which was an absolutely scorcher of a match. If not for that one admittedly large blemish of the Revolution ending, I think this would be my no-brainer choice.

This will definitely be a tight race and a hard one to pick I believe.

Shida/Deeb, much like Rosa and Baker, isn't really a feud. To me, a feud is more than people having a good match. The only beat in that storyline is Serena defeating Shida and stopping her from getting her 50 wins, which she got anyway and an interference. Otherwise, it's just been a collection of matches with nothing in between.

I might be in the minority but I actually enjoyed the Labours of Jericho. While I wasn't keen on how it ended, I thought it was an interesting narrative compared to most feuds.

They had an idea there with the labours, but it would’ve been much better if:

    1. It wasn’t coming after the feud had two pretty conclusive blowoffs and had lasted nearly a year already.

    2. The order wasn’t whack. The Nick Gage death match is #2 so stakes and stipulations in the following matches feel very tame in comparison. Jericho has beaten Rock and Austin in the same night and main evented WrestleMania, and he’s supposed to be concerned with Juventud Guerrera? Wardlow came next after we’ve been conditioned to believe the labours are surprise guests, his stipulation is that MJF is at ringside. THAT was MJF’s idea? Then MJF is the 5th labour? So it’s the 4 labours of Jericho then.

Got to disagree with this. Not only did Serena beat Shida to stop her from getting her 50th win, but she attacked Shida after the match as well with said trophy. Then in the rematch, Shida wins but Serena brutalizes her after the match, injuring her leg to impair Shida's ability to continue in the TBS Tournament. Then in her tournament match with Nyla, Serena interferes to help make sure Shida didn't advance, which she didn't. Probably as well built a feud the women's division has had, tbh...especially for one that didn't involve the title.

It’s had more of a story behind it than most of the women’s title matches have, that’s for sure.
