Stand and Deliver is an easy shout as well as Royal Rumble 2021. Can't really remember any bad matches at RR 2021 ngl

Re: 2021 Supercard of the Year Ongoing Discussion

Which night of Stand and Deliver? I'd say Night 1 could be in the discussion, but I think Vengeance Day could be the pick of the NXT shows this year.

I'd say my front runner was Wrestlemania Night 1. That's the most fun I've had watching a wrestling show since AEW's Revolution in 2020. The rain delay created a bizarre 30 minutes where wrestlers were cutting great unscripted promos (and Seth was there too) and Michael Cole and Samoa Joe were wearing ponchos, then we had a night of really fun matches that exceeded expectations and the joy of having fans at WWE shows again. Then the night was capped off by a great and historic main event between Sasha and Bianca. Night 2 would be in the discussion too, but I know I preferred Night 1.

I have yet to watch Wrestlemania but Vengeance Day was really good.

I figured both nights of Stand and Deliver could work together since both were so good, but Imma give it to N2 for KOR/Cole, Reed/Gargano, and Escobar/Devlin.

Haven't watched any of the NXT cards but Mania Night 1 is gonna be a strong player for me. Really good night of matches with pretty much a memorable moment in every one, sans the women's tag match.

ROH 19th anniversary show. Three 4 star matches with a bunch of good matches and a surprise cliff hanger ending.
Wrestling fans need to give Ring of Honor a chance again.

This is locked up then? Unless Full Gear can top it. In which case, bring it on.

There isn't a doubt in my mind. All Out has it in the bag imo.

ROH BITW was better by match quality alone

I have to go with Summerslam. We had two big matches in Reigns vs Cena and Rollins vs Edge. Also two big returns. WWE made even me watch this PPV lol.

I can't imagine anyone thinking an ROH or WWE show was better than ALL OUT as a show.

In ring, Best in the World was better than All out. Numerous better matches and no QT Marshall vs Big Slow.

Taven segment was fine. Vincents "ill bury you just enough to watch me win the world title" was great.

DanHaussen and PCO vs Bouncers ***1/4 Just a fun match. Danhausen is really over. PCOs swaton on the apron was sick. Props to Bruiser for taking it

Briscoes vs Johnson and Black ***1/4 good stuff. Johnsons promo was a good way to get both Briscoes on the same page to defend their family. Smart play there. Jay vs Brian needs to happen

Ec3 vs Flip **3/4 it was ok. crowd didnt care for it.

Castle, Isom, Draper vs STP. ***1/2 Great match. Super happy for STP and over they were. loved Ians commentary about the backgrounds of Kahn and Moses. Props to Isom who also looked great and Castle for making sure his team was heel. his suplexs looked great too!!

Woods vs Young ***1/4 - ***1/2 it was great and had a logical ending. You were able to sense the hate and that was important. a few more minutes would of helped

Lethal vs King ****1/4 What a fuckin match!!!! King looked like boss and destroyed Lethal. King cam out looking like a million bucks.

Gresham vs Bennett **** By far and away Bennetts best singles match. Gresham is a fuckin machine. Bennett was also great in this.

Deppen vs Dragon Lee ****1/4 Insane stuff.. Maybe my match of the night. Deppen and Lee just tore it down.

Homicide and Dickinson vs Titus and Gresham ***3/4 Fuckin brutal. Rhetts landing on the chair was insane. Happy for Homicide as he was super over and finally got the ROH tag straps

Bandido vs Rush **** Great main event. Im fine with the finish. super happy for Bandido as he deserves it.

    9/10 easy.

Miro vs Kingston **3/4 Meh. Miro was good and Kingston continues his 15 year stretch of unimpressing me. I hate machine gun chops

Moxley vs Kojima ***1/2 I dug this. I don't know why they also had the turnbuckle pad removed like in the previous match.

I don't follow NJPW so i didn't really care about Suzuki

Brit Baker vs Kris Statlander **1/2 Decent match.

Bucks vs Lucha Bros ****1/4 Fantastic stuff. It was balls to the wall and fun. I loved Pentagon saving his little brother from the shoe.

Battle Royal ** I don't care for battle royals. It was cool to hear Rancid playing at a wrestling show since i ve been a fan of them since 94.

MJF vs Jericho ***3/4 I enjoyed the hell out of this match. I saw many people complaining about Jericho so maybe its just me being late to the party(not being burned out of him).

Darby Allin vs CM Punk ***1/4 I don't know i just wasn't feeling it. I was dissappointed by the match. Maybe i expected more.

QT vs Big Show * Terrible

Kenny Omega vs Christian **** Great main event!!! Christian busted his ass and looked awesome in defeat. LOL at Tony trying to drive home that these two are the best technical wrestlers in the world. This aint the Pure Division Schiavone!!!!

Kenny needs to slow down his promos

The Big reveal 1.... Holy ROH 2015 - 2016 batman!!! The Elite being the top heel faction with Adam Cole.

The Big Reveal 2 ....Awesome. We all knew he was coming so that kind of ruined the surprise factor. No Final Countdown was a huge let down. His haircut being likes Brocks Lesnars was good stuff!!!

It was a really good show . It wasn't my PPV of the year but i can't say it wasn't fun. Also i love that AEW gets you to watch their tv shows by promoting it during the PPV with upcoming matches. All companies should do this on their PPVS. WCW used to do this and it makes complete sense.

Heres both my reviews. ROH BITW was way more consistent and ALL Out had a lot of below average matches like Miro vs Kingston and the women matches and a really bad match like QT vs Big Show.

I watched the top matches on the ROH show and didn't think anything was as good as Kingston vs Miro, Punk vs Darby or Omega vs Christian. We are just going to disagree on that. Show vs QT was a 2 minute bathroom break match, it didn't bring the show down.

Well you said you couldnt see how anyone could pick an ROH or WWE show over All Out and i was simply explaining why i would. im ok saying All Out is my number 2 or 3 thus far.

All Out would be number one on this pretty easy tbh. Summerslam and the last TakeOver after that.

My top 3 would be All Out, Double or Nothing and then Best in the World, in that order. Unless something DRASTIC happens, I don't see anything touching All Out for me.
