Granted, there does tend to be less people that get involved at this stage before the shortlists get drawn up, and people are (hopefully) still making their minds up, but looking at last year as an example, 13 people submitted nominations for those categories needing a shortlist and iirc, the PM's were coming in at a steady pace. While I know there's 4-5 people that'll definitely submit something, I'm guessing at this stage we'll be short of last years turn out, and probably by a distance. Which is fine, and honestly, expected, as I think 13 was more than I expected to send in nominations a year ago, and the last couple of months of BTBOTM voting has seen lower turnouts. Still, 8-10 would've been what I'd have hoped for here.

Everything that was listed in the awards log thread was included in those first posts in this thread and those posts are linked at the bottom of the post I've quoted, so there's not much more that can be done to make it as easy as possible to get involved at this point.
The BTB sections voters have just made the biggest comeback since Jesus. 12 sets of nominations dropped, which is a pretty brilliant turnaround from the weekend! Just under 45 minutes left if anyone else wanted to get any in, then I’ll tally everything up and reveal the shortlists later tonight.

Excuse me. Me coming back to BTB at this site AND writing big long shows is absolutely a better comeback than Jesus.

Especially since the main character is in fact Jesus' father, God. Or as you might better know him, Hollywood Hogan.

Listen man, you throw up softballs like that, I'm going to swing away. Maybe with a joke, maybe with a bat, maybe with scissors. I'm the new Sid Vicious baby!

That reminds me, going to need to get temporarily banned from here around April for softball season

I'm interested in what the ~dirty dozen~ found most difficult to vote for. Personally, MOTY & Best Booked Individual were extremely tough.

The BTB Dirty Dozen, I like that.

As for Rasky's question, I found match of the year hardest. There was a fuck ton of great content put out this past year. Loved that Wolf posted the matches in full, I had a ton of fun reading over them again.

Can we all take a second and appreciate the fact that after winning last year for best Booked Individual, Battletank's Jake Roberts made the short list for the second year in a row?

Re: The 2020 Be The Booker Year End Awards - SHORTLISTS REVEALED: VOTING OPEN

Thanks for the shout, Rant and JMan. I really wasn't expecting Jake to be nominated again because I haven't written a sentence for him since April...but maybe this is my cue to dust the ol' snake off for a brief run in 1994. This also shows that keeping Bret Hart at the top of the card for nearly a year doesn't pay dividends...sort of like real life WWF in '94 while he was on top

It was really fun putting together a list, and now the hard part begins trying to rank each category. I firmly believe this yearly Awards Show is the true testament of the quality of work this section sees over the course of an entire year. Excited to see the results play out because honestly, I think almost every award will be a toss up. Best of luck to everybody!

Just going to drop a few pieces of graphics from a few different people if anyone is needing a refresher on who to vote for for Best BTB Graphics. I should note; this list is not exhaustive - I'm sure there are others I've overlooked here.

    Best BTB Graphics:

Thank you for the gesture though Hug Life/Role Model is just so seamless when it comes to GFX and BattleTank literally made show dividers a thing.

    Got my votes in.

So much talent in the forum, was hard to narrow some down.

I'm interested to see who everyone else voted for in "Breakout Booker Of The Year" I think that category in particular has the potential to be all over the place in terms of voting.

That's slightly disappointing. Looking at last year's voters, I see about 5 of the 19 that aren't active anymore but even then, I still see a few glaringly obvious people that didn't vote last year that are still active.

Hopefully some of them, and maybe a few newcomers come out strong in the last few days.
