Don't You Dare Be Sour - The Best Version of The New Day

If you haven't yet, check out the 'WC's Best NA in-ring worker of all time lockdown boredom killing Tournament' that King Steventon is running over in the wrestling games section. For me, perhaps the most interesting match-up in the first round was The New Day vs Kevin Steen and El Generico. Due to a small rule created by Steve, Freebirds rules do not count, thus every team entered in the tournament has to be a two man version of a team. In theory, that meant all three combination of The New Day could have been entered in the tournament, but thus far we've only seen the Kingston/Big E tandem.

In trying to decide which was the better team - New Day or Steenerico, it got me thinking about which New Day matches were Kingston and Big E. Remember that highly rated New Day Hell in a Cell battle against The Usos? Doesn't count because that was Xavier Woods and Big E. For as much success as The New Day has had, I can't say I knew off the top of my head which tandems won or lost titles. My first instinct is that the Kingston/Big E version had to be the most successful due to the fact that Woods was practically more of a manager in the early days to the point that when Woods was in a match, you knew it wasn't an important one for them. However, quantity does not equal quality. Going through New Days' history, I picked out all of their major two man tag matches (PPV/WWE Network/Title changes) and organized it to reflect which combination did what.

    Kofi Kingston and Big E.

At this point in time that only the Kingston/Woods combination is active, which version of The New Day do you believe is the best? Is it the high profile Kingston/Big E version, the come from behind Big E/Woods combo, or maybe the sole tandem that had never lost the tag titles in Kingston/Woods?

The Big E/Woods combo had the aforementioned match with the Uso’s (plus the previous month’s one at SS) and are the only iteration of the team to face the Vaudevillians, which is a major bonus point for me. Add that to Kofi being my least liked member of the trio, and my vote is an easy one.
