That's cause he's probably doing the WTL With EVIL during the same tour. A waste all the same.

The Super J line up for NJPWUS sounds way more interesting than the BOSJ lineup.

About as uninspiring of a singles tournament in a Japanese wrestling company I've ever seen.

Between this and the world tag league full of EVIL and Togo cheating, Ospreay and O-kharn cheating, Jay White and Gedo cheating, KENTA and Yujiro cheating, and god forbid if GoD ever make it over for the tour, my thoughts are with you having to watch those shows to cover it on Eastern Lariat.

A lacklustre line-up for the World Tag League. X is maybe the most interesting thing about the whole thing. Maybe Umino or Ren Narita returns to New Japan early. No Dick Togo again. Perhaps Togo just doesn't want to wrestle as much now. He is pretty old and I imagine he earns a lot by being with EVIL. I hope that's it otherwise I'm baffled by NJ not using him.

I'm guessing X is gonna be Jeff Cobb to go along with Meltzer's report that Cobb was supposed to join the Empire G1 Finals weekend. Either way, that doesn't save what looks to be another crummy WTL, but maybe Goto and Yoshi Hashi, and Tanahashi and Henare can pull off a few surprises. Glad Henare has found a way back.

So the shows have been mostly boring, unexciting, and completely skippable but every now and then you get a good match. Especially SHO feels determined not to make this all a complete waste with worthwhile matches against DOUKI & Robbie Eagles.

Haven’t even bothered to watch a minute of it. My interest in new japan is that in the gutter, and hearing that Hiromi Vs Despy can’t even have a main event without ref bumps is gonna make me load up the shows any quicker. This nonsense is in every division and every show.

Finally watched some of what I've missed. Despy vs Hiromu was good but it did meandered on for far too long. And I agree about the ref bumps and weapon shots. It's tiresome and doesn't add anything to the matches if they are in every match. No clue why New Japan has gotten on this trend recently. It's not like this was ever the most over gimmick with the crowds before it was the norm.
