Re: Ex-WWE Star Shad Gaspard Passes Away

I am actually a bit surprised they found him. I read from some experts on the matter, it has a pretty high chance of never being found in that sitatuion.

While very tragic and sad, at least now they can properly grieve and have a sense of closure.

From stopping an armed robbery, to spending his last moments to make sure his son was safe, Shad was clearly a wonderful man with a big heart.

I hope his family can find peace.
    Everything will surely be alright.

I'm stunned they found the body, at the very least it doesn't leave things unanswered for the family. RIP, what a hero.

The most amazing thing about this recent conversation is that I've learned AON is even more of a waste of space than I thought he was previously

Fuck. What a hero. I'm not going to lie, first time in a long time I've shed a tear. Ultimate sacrifice. What a man. Eternal legend for me now. Rip, legend.

About the emotion of the situation...

It really has hit me in an unexpected manner. I haven't actually cried about it...but, every time I see twitter posts by his friends and colleagues, I get choked up to the point where I feel like I might cry. Also, I'm not the type of person who is "too tough" to cry, or anything like that...but, I also don't get too emotional about many things. So...for me to even be choked up by this is pretty telling. I very well might end up crying if WWE or AEW do tribute segments for him.

Definitely sad news, from all reports Shad was certainly "one of the good ones". RIP Shad, and thoughts and prayers are with his family. Couldn't begin to imagine what they're feeling.

    This is tragic.

    Near Kobe level tragic.

Truly a wonderful person that no one even needed to personally know to see. This type of character is stuff that is only written about in movies and TV shows. Rest in peace to Shad. 2020 just sucks man.

Re: Ex-WWE Star Shad Gaspard Passes Away

So tragic. Kind of held out hope that he'd be found alive, but sadly not.

Lots of stories coming out about how good a person he was and it all seems very genuine. Truly a heroic moment from him that he put his sons life above his own in his final act. At least his family have closure.

Re: Ex-WWE Star Shad Gaspard missing at sea

This is extremely sad. Shad seemed like a top man. It shows amazing selflessness that he seemingly sacrificed his own life to save his son. That's absolutely amazing.

I'm very happy that WWE have announced that they will be honoring him on tonight's Smackdown. He totally deserves that.
It's a shame that they never followed through with his big man "IT'S MY TIME!" push when they split him and JTG. It was a similar split to the Big Cass split form Enzo Amore, but Shad was better than Cass ever was. Saying that, it's also a shame they never pushed them as a team further as they could have been a lot bigger than they were really. There were a lot of rumors that they were contemplating bringing Cryme Tyme back to WWE sooner rather than later. Shame we never got to see that as I feel that they would have added something to today's division.

Very sad news. What a hero. He made the ultimate sacrifice to save his son. He deserves the Warrior award. RIP Shad, and thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Re: Ex-WWE Star Shad Gaspard Passes Away

Pisses me off that people seem to be taking shots at AEW talents for donating to the gofundme for Shad's widow and son. Of course, it's always hard to tell online if people are being sarcastic or sincere...but, I've seen people say things like "Shame on AEW for trying to use this tragedy to push their agenda", etc. All because people like Cody, Jericho, and Tony Khan are top donations on the fund. One would certainly hope this is some form of sarcasm, or failed attempt at being witty...but, I really don't know with the way some people think (especially these days).

Also, Good guy Cena with the anonymous donation under the name 'CTC RIP' for 40k.

You can say what you want about the man's career...but, I'll be damned if he doesn't always show class in the end.

Yeah i saw that big donation from Cena, top bloke. Kevin Owens donated quite a bit to the csonka gofundme as well. There’s some good people in the business.
