I like Guinness, but it's far from my go to beer. I do think it's an excellent choice when you're fighting a hangover but still have to go to a meeting that involves drinking.

As far as stouts go, I prefer the Oatmeal variety, particularly St. Ambroise. Wonderfully tasty.

Controversial take: Had Guinness from the Storehouse in Dublin last year, couldn't tell the difference.

I can take or leave Guinness. It’s kind of heavy, but yet it’s a low percentage with abv.

Now I will drink Irish car bombs.(it was only recently that I discovered that most find the name offensive, but it’s what I’ve always heard it called.) For those that have never had it or don’t know. You put baileys and Jameson in a shot glass, than drop that in Guinness and chug it. It comes out tasting like an alcoholic milkshake.

Living in New England, eating "Boiled dinnahs" is per the norm this time of year, because most people around here are Irish.

Granted, I'm mostly Italian. But hey. Foods.
Interestingly enough, to get back to this..

Apparently, while mostly Italian on my dad's side (From Northern Italy, in the mountains)..My uncle did a lot of research and genealogy testing recently. 85% Irish, originating in Iveragh Penisula. 15% English, originating in Plympton. Knew the English part, as that's where our ancestor came over on the ship to New England from. But damn.

Apparently, I am Irish after all.
    Everything will surely be alright.
