I think Fury has made a massive mistake in changing his trainer. Can see Wilder taking this rematch at the moment.

Wilders done really well in his rematches so far. Can see another ridiculous KO here for him. He's shown he can land on Fury, he might not get up this time...and the ref might not stop his count.

I love the fact Fury is telling us all he'll knock Wilder out haha. Fury only wins this via outboxing him again, though he'll have to outbox him for 12 rounds to get a decision in America and we all know it.

I’m so pumped for this. Both guys are even hungrier for the win. It’s such a great clash of styles; Fury is the much superior boxer but he has to outbox Wilder for 12 rounds without feeling that power of Deontay. Wilder just has to land once, I think his last couple of fights since their first have made him respect his own power even more. Wilder can fight like a guy who only needs to land once, and he knows it.Fury’s talk of KOing Wilder is just talk, he’d be stupid to try and out power Wilder.

Re: Boxing - Wilder vs Fury II February 22nd

Just rewatched the first fight. Its a lot closer than I remember. I feel like the story since has become that Fury won more rounds easily but Wilder had the big knockdowns. But it was a really close fight, its not like Fury was ever running away with it, he was winning more rounds though. Deontay fought so much tighter and more technical than he gets credit for, its when he smells blood that he gets a bit reckless.

Its also kinda awkward that Fury's the one who showboats in the ring but Wilders the one that people call cocky.

Fury isn't stupid enough to go looking to out power Wilder. In their first fight Fury had only fought like once or twice in a couple of years due to his mental health issues and he should have had that decision in all honesty. Now Wilder has to contender with a fitter, sharper Fury so it'll be a lot more interesting to see how he handles him this time. Wilder always has that power in his locker, but will he be wary that Fury got up twice last time?

Either way the winner will go on to beat AJ so it's all good haha.

Re: Boxing - Wilder vs Fury II February 22nd

Masterful performance from Fury. Kept Wilder out during the early rounds with the jab - key to note that Wilder outjabbed Fury in the first fight I believe so it was important for Fury to establish his jab from the bat hence his active start. Really became a matter of time when he knocked Wilder down I think. Guy's technique is just too good for Wilder's reliance on the power shot. No matter what, the knockdown definitely had a psychological effect and I don't think Wilder is as mentally tough as Fury when it comes to that game.

Normally I'd say changing trainers could be a bad idea for this fight but Fury's a gypsy traveller so I'm sure he's nonplussed by it. Also, they did a fucking great job. Absolutely top gameplan.

    Great fight.

I'm also surprised his corner let him continue after thev2nd knockdown. He really wasn't offering anything outside of wild shots and when he did connect he had little power to the shots.

I know there's a third fight in the contract but will Wilder really want to take the one on after he was so outclassed?

I also say Fury still beats AJ if that's the route he decides to go too.

Probably the most unexpected result I’ve seen in a fight in a long time. Not that I didn’t think Fury couldn’t win, but I never thought he’d demolish Wilder like that. The rematch clause they had is very interesting after that fight, it’s hard to see Deontay wanting that rematch after such a one sided beating. He really didn’t offer up any kind of challenge to Fury in this fight. He’d need a drastic new game plan and style to get the better of that Tyson.

Thing is we know Fury can change his style up again and still be effective. I didn't expect to see this kind of Fury give n what Wilder can do but he knocked the legs out of him to nullify that power game.

I honestly don't see many people wanting to fight Fury now he is back to his best. This tops Fury playing with Wladimir for 12 rounds too.

I just want to know where this Tyson Fury has been all these years while he’s been doing just enough to beat cans. He looked poor vs Wallin then dismantles a guy like Wilder.

I was predicting Fury by decision. I never thought Wilder was a great boxer. I certainly was worried when Fury was saying he was going to try to knock him out.

That fight honestly should have been stopped earlier. Wilder looked screwed way before they threw in the towel.

30 days for Wilder to decide if he wants to dance again. I really don't see it happening, however with those 30 days it's pretty much guaranteed AJ will have to book his date with Pulev, so that means Fury vs Whyte. Things could get really taste in this division from the summer on.

Re: Boxing - Wilder vs Fury II February 22nd

After the fight Wilder was saying that there were reasons why he wasn't ready for the fight, then goes on to stay no excuses though. Alrightyyyy.

With his power though when they go to the third fight which you know they will (too much money on the line) He could knock out Fury. Actually would be interesting to see how the third fight would turn out. Wilder did look off most of the fight.
