Still not sure why they chose Corpus Christi over a city like Austin, but enjoy the show nonetheless. Make sure to cheer extra loud~!!

Odd choice for sure but they're going to Austin in a few weeks. Wish I knew before I got these tickets.

Great pick up. He should be on dynamite proper but they probably feel he’d occupy the same role as Excalibur

Enjoyed jungle boy VS Jericho. Expected them to say JB passed out right before the time expired.

Enjoyed the women's match, but the after match stuff felt weird. Statlander felt like the heel, then got shown up by another heel who isn't even an active wrestler.

    Re: AEW Dynamite On TNT

The whole show felt a little vaudevillany. Pentagon doing his awful schtick for 7+ minutes, PAC sneaking up to Nakazawa, the ending. Just a weird tone to a show that's sort of been grounded since the weekly shows began.

I thought the opening match was pretty awful. I don't hate character work in wrestling, I welcome it but I'm so over the Cero Miedo taunt and the wrestling wasn't upto snuff either. It was very sloppy and uninteresting. There was a good moment where the Lucha Brothers held Omega on the outside while the other did a top - that was cool - but it was basically it. When Fenix goes singles, the world will be a better place. And I couldn't care less about Page and Omega not getting along. They've never been the most friendly anyway and now I'm supposed to care about this apparent "friendship" they have breaking apart.

I'm all for PAC attacking Nakazawa but the way he did it and him kidnapping him is just dumb. It's very sports entertainment and that's not working for me.

Cody/Darby vs Butcher & The Blade was a good match. Williams looked like a beast throwing both Cody and Darby around like they were nothing. They protected him well with Parks getting most of the offence when they weren't in control. Cody and Darby look strong going into whatever they are doing next. Cody pinning Butcher and The Blade was a good way to end this little sub plot of the MJF feud. More goons are to come, I imagine.

Jericho vs Jungle Boy was okay. Jungle Boy had a ton of energy and looked very good at times. Jericho was just as lethargic as he usually does. And in a match where he's supposed to win under 10 minutes, no urgency was showed by him. He should know better than that. Jungle Boy got over strongly with the crowd though. Hope they continue on with that momentum.

I totally zoned out after this because that Jericho promo was the last thing I wanted to see after a match of this and the show never got me back.

The main event from what I read looks..fine but it's not been well received by many so I think that says a lot.

I dug the opener a lot and Cody/Darby vs B&B, main event was fun too but I kind of expected a title change yet after the angle at the end it makes sense why they didn’t do that.

Jungle Jack Boy Perry vs Jericho was fun as well, and the pre match stuff with the signs for the people with picture in picture was funny.

    Re: AEW Dynamite On TNT

I really need to get into the habit of watching AEW on the regular, that and back into NXT, because there's some fantastic stuff on both sides that I simply havn't had the time to dedicate to.

The Dark Order absolutely rules. Their gimmick has turned into something fantastic and unique, something that makes use of the hapless jobbers and gives the likes of the Beaver Boys (that's them right?) a story to work with even when only jobbing. Evil Uno's got a great 'cult leader slash mob boss' voice, the 'Join Dark Order' segments are absolute hits, and I'm genuinely curious where things go next, whether any major players decide to join. Commentary was pushing the 'hoo boy Hangman Page ain't here while his buddies are getting swarmed by the putty patrol, wonder what that means' angle, and Kenny Omega has that understated 'losing a bit more than you'd expect' thing going, so either guy deciding to join Dark Order isn't out of the question for a swerve, though I don't think either will.

I don't know whether they're my favourite act in AEW so far, but they're up there with Luchasaurus, Private Party, Best Friends, Darby Allin, or anything Orange Cassidy related.

    Re: AEW Dynamite On TNT

Honestly, I really love the Dark Order stuff. I don't see the "negativity" from others that was mentioned earlier. From what I saw, it was less negativity, and more that people were questioning if that angle was a good way to close the show. This is just people with the mindset that mid-carders and stuff shouldn't close out shows, and tbh, I disagree, I welcome this. It's different, and for me, in a good way. Dark Order have really gained some steam this last few weeks and are growing on a lot of people. With Page potentially being in the group, this storyline is gaining more and more momentum as the weeks go by. The great thing is, it doesn't feel rushed. People are speculating on who's under the masks, who's going to join, etc. It's not the most talked about thing in wrestling, but in my eyes, it might just be the most interesting thing.

The opener felt really meh to me though, Fenix was great as per usual, but Pentagon and Page really took me out of the match. Also, idk how I feel about more PAC/Omega, I feel like I've seen too much of it already, they're just failing to gauge my interest in seeing those two compete against each other. Weird, as PAC heading into AEW from the January to All Out, was probably the guy I was most excited to see.

Kris vs Riho is a match I am really, really looking forward to. Riho has been off my screen for too long, and Kris is really solidifying herself as a great talent and character. I have a feeling Kong will interfere to set up a 3-way for Bash at the Beach or something, but who knows!

Everything else was pretty good as well. Overall a really decent show.

The Dark Order were in a Jim Sterling video. 10/10.

Nah seriously though, I love the Dark Order. I just can't take then seriously as a proper big bad. I wish they played more into the rediculous side of their gimmick, then I'd truly fall in love with them

Raye kind of hit it on the head. It does belong as a show closer because now its got you thinking..."Ok, who's the big name thats going to join? Is it Omega? Is it Page? No one's mentioning PAC, it could be him..." Hell, it could be Dustin. Who knows?

    Re: AEW Dynamite On TNT

An interesting observation I had from being live at the show... Brandi was really over with the crowd. It was jarring, a little. I think it was at least 75% because she's super fine but still. She got one of the biggest reactions of the night. The Dark Order were met with a lot of indifference honestly. I think the live fans were on the same page as viewers at home. We were all kind of like "so... that's the end of the show?". I don't think it was a bad move but until The Dark Order get on a real roll, I think a lot of people are going to be sorta unmoved by them.

Dark Order are bad because they had no direction the two guys arent bad but arent great.

Dustin is a solid nod btw but I think hes trying to stay away from Goldust weird gimmicks for rn.

    Spears I dont see.

Page makes sense but they could go the route of someone like Jimmy Havoc/Darby Allin I see more Havoc but thats just me.

The Dark Order is definitely growing on me, but I'm not too fond of them closing 2019. Genuinely surprised the Bucks didn't get the belts either.

I have nothing bad to say about the show, but nothing overwhelmingly great about it either. It's really difficult to book this time of year anyway. Every company seems to struggle with December. With that said, I think AEW did a fine job but may have been outbooked by NXT this week.
