    Spoiler:

Allen Collins was fantastic, so sad from the car accident. Mick Jones is great, but one of the bigger control freaks in music. Glen Campbell was super good, but a very subtle guitar hero. Lenny is a good guitar player, but better songwriter. Big fan of Adrian, sneaky good songwriter.

    jack-white-guitar-736x445

    Spoiler:

Rick Nielsen - Cheap Trick (Mikk, Mister Miracle)
    rn

    Spoiler:

Johnny Ramone - The Ramones (OMB, Baloocha)
    jr

    Spoiler:

Steve Lukather is possibly the most recorded guitarist in history. Uli Jon Roth may be the best guitarist to ever play in the Scorpions, but have the least amount of recognition. Tom Waits is a an excellent songwriter. Jack White was the right guy at the right time. Rick Nielsen is the main songwriter in Cheap Trick and a great player. Clown prince of guitar. Johnny Ramone and the other boys would 30 songs in 30 minutes. Just not a nice guy.

Rick Nielson almost made my list but I was never into Cheap Trick nearly as much as Nick was he had almost every album from them and I only really liked Lap of Luxury and Rockford. And I completely forgot about Uli John Roth

Today we get to 65 & 64 on the countdown:

    Tied for 65th (61 Points):

George Lynch - Dokken/Lynch Mob (Ms Flock, Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

    John Lennon - Beatles/Dirty Mac/Solo (Grim, OMB)

    Spoiler:

    Tied for 64th (62 Points):

Jake E. Lee - Ozzy/Badlands/Solo (Ms Flock, Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

Vince Gill - Solo (Ms Flock, Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

Marty Friedman - Megadeth/Cacophony/Solo (Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

I like George now, but wasn't as into him back then. John's a great songwriter and good player. Jake E Lee gets knocked for coming after Randy, but he held his own in a tough situation. Vince Gill can pick it as good as anyone in Country. Marty Friedman is a technical genius, also picks kinda weird.

Probably the third best guitarist in the Beatles, kinda like Ringo was the second best drummer. Great songwriter.

    Tied for 63rd (63 Points):

    Cat Stevens - Solo (Baloocha)

    cat-s

    Spoiler:

Vito Bratta - White Lion (Mister Miracle)
    vb

    Spoiler:

Ted Nugent - Solo (Ms Flock, Mister Miracle)
    GIBSONBYRDLAND-02-nugent

    Spoiler:

    Tied for 62nd (64 Points):

Axl Rose -Guns n Roses, AC/DC (Baloocha)

    axl

    Spoiler:

Richie Kotzen - Poison, Mr. Big, Winery Dogs, Solo (Mister Miracle)
    rk

    Spoiler:

Cat Stevens may be batshit crazy, but he was a good singer-songwriter for awhile. Vito Bratta can't play anymore due to a wrist injury. Such a great guitar player, it's really too bad. Hate Ted Nugent's politics, but love him as a guitarist. I don't know why Axl's here to be honest. Kotzen is extremely underrated and freaking great, all without a pick.

    Today's edition brings us 61 to 58:

    61st (65 Points)

Gerry Rafferty - Stealers Wheel/Solo (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

    60th (66 Points)

Brad Paisley - Solo (OMB, Ms Flock, Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

    59th (67 Points)

Vernon Reid - Living Colour/Masque (Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

    Tied for 58th (68 Points)

    Tom Fogerty - CCR/Ruby (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

Joe Bonamassa - Black Country Communion/Solo (Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

Varied group of great musicians. Gerry Rafferty had a nice run with some hits in the 70's. Brad Paisley is a monster guitarist, country or not he can play. Vernon Reid is at times too experimental, but always great. Tom Fogerty could never really get out of John's shadow. Joe Bonamassa has been a professional musician since he was 12, big time guitar prodigy.

    Spoiler:

    Steve Morse - Dixie Dregs/Kansas/Deep Purple/Flying Colors/Solo (Mister Miracle)
    STEVE-MORSE

    Spoiler:

Interesting group, mainly instrumentalists. I like some Bon Jovi, Richie was always a strength in that band. Bill Connors, I know a little about, but not enough. Buckethead is super prolific and equally bizarre. Guthrie is a super fun guitarist that can make everything interesting. Steve Morse can play anything, for anyone, at anytime. Great player.

    jw

    Spoiler:

Eric Johnson - Solo (Mister Miracle)
    ej

    Spoiler:

I wanted to get all ones that just missed the Top 50 in before we get there. So many great ones, Duane Allman was only around for a few years, but his impact is still felt. Billy Gibbons continues to be one of the living legends. Jerry's been gone awhile, but never forgotten. Dave King always been mainly a singer, but he's better than I thought. Alex Lifeson is often the last guy thought of in RUSH, but he's really great. Chet Atkins did it much better than most for many decades. Joe Walsh may play by his own rules, but he's completely sound as player. Last, but not least...my "uncle" and one of my all time favorites, Eric Johnson.
