I didn't get a list in, just coz life if busy and I got lost in doing it.

That said, I am still 100% going to complain about Jerry Cantrell being so low. Absolutely criminal!

Re: WC's Be All...End All...No Holds Barred... Favorite Guitarist List

    Today we'll continue with the 4 & 5 pointers:

    4 Pointers:

    Bradley Nowell - Sublime (OMB)
    220px-Brad-Nowell11

    Spoiler:

    Zach Myers - Shinedown (Baloocha)
    zm

    Spoiler:

    5 Pointers:

    Bob Marley - Solo (OMB)
    bm

    Spoiler:

Chris DeGarmo - Queensryche (Ms Flock)
    cdg

    Spoiler:

Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein - Misfits (Grim)
    Doyle

    Spoiler:

    Nancy Wilson - Heart (Baloocha)
    NANCY-WILSON-01

    Spoiler:

I'm not a fan of Brad Nowell and I also don't know much about Zach Myers of Shinedown. Chris DeGarmo was the glue that held together Queensryche, he wrote a lot of the songs...most of the hits. He left the music business and the band fell apart. Bob Marley was more of a rhythm player, but was great for what he did. Doyle was/is Doyle...he'd scare the shit outta ya and play as fast as he could. Nancy Wilson and Ann were the main songwriters in Heart during their heyday. Great rhythm player.

    Hey thanks, OMB
I actually had Marley on my list in the top 30s... I guess he was a victim of me being stupid while editing the list (which I did over the phone)

I wouldn’t be too surprised about Nowell. He’s not exactly I guy I’d think of where great guitarists are concerned. I’m actually more surprised someone voted for him than anything else.

Actually, Orianthi should've been in the first group...missed her in my pictures.

Nope, scratch that...I knew I saw her elsewhere...OMB can't spell.

Re: WC's Be All...End All...No Holds Barred... Favorite Guitarist List

    We'll continue on with our, 6 & 7 Pointers:

    6 Pointers:

    Tracy Chapman - Solo (OMB)

    Spoiler:

East Bay Ray - Dead Kennedys (Grim)

    Spoiler:

Jeff "Skunk" Baxter - Steely Dan/Doobie Brothers/Session Guy (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

    7 Pointers:

Gary Moore - Thin Lizzy/Solo (Ms Flock/Mister Miracle)

    Spoiler:

Eric Bell - Thin Lizzy (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

Steve "Lips" Kudlow - Anvil (Ms Flock)

    Spoiler:

It's hard for me to look at singer/songwriters as guitarists first, they always go for what the song needs more than a solo, but she's super talented. East Bay Ray has such a unique guitar sound, just fit DK perfectly. Jeff Baxter, looks perpetually stoned and probably is, but a super good guitar player. Two guys from Thin Lizzy...The original guitarist, Eric Bell...had some good tunes under his belt...left the band due to exhaustion...only to be replaced by, Gary Moore. His guitar tone is so nice, just could play it all. He was barely in Thin Lizzy, he was kinda the guy to call whenever someone would quit. His solo stuff is great. Steve "Lips" Kudlow and Anvil make me laugh, because I have no idea if they're good or not. I like some stuff, but then other stuff is hilariously bad. The documentary about them a bunch of years ago is a must watch. It's how hard the music business really is.

We continue with our 8 & 9 pointers:

    8 Pointers:

Porter Howell - Little Texas (Ms Flock)

    Spoiler:

    Akira Takasaki - Loudness (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

Daron Malakian - System of a Down (OMB/Grim)
    220px-DM-photo

    Spoiler:

    9 Pointers:

Jack Morer - Tall Stories (Ms Flock)

    Spoiler:

Joshua Cain - Motion City Soundtrack (Grim)

    Spoiler:

    Malcolm Young - AC/DC (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

    Lzzy Hale - Halestorm (HoHo)

    Spoiler:

Holy crap, Akira Takashaki from Loudness. Saw them in Melbourne a million years ago. Akira's the one constant in the band, he's what makes them go. Very good player. Don't know much about Little Texas and Tall Stories...nor Motion City Soundtrack, but MCS sound like something I'd try to listen to. Lzzy Hale and Malcolm Young are both rhythm players, so its hard to find standout tracks for them, but they are the boss of those bands. Malcolm handled all things AC/DC and let Angus be the star...so missed.

Re: WC's Be All...End All...No Holds Barred... Favorite Guitarist List

I grew up with a lot of Country music in the house my Mom was and still is obsessed with it. Little Texas was big in the late 80's to the mid 90's they actually was the first concert I ever go to do to when I was 8 Tall Stories was a band that Journey Singer Steve Augeri started in we became obsessed with Augeri's work outside of Journey after we heard a clip of them on VH1 behind the music and we got to see them live in 2009 when they did a reunion album and tour.

Missed Daron Malakian in the 8 pointers...spelling is a thing OMB, but it's my fault for missing it. I'm getting confirmation on one of the next guitarists with multiple players with the name...I'm not assuming.

Re: WC's Be All...End All...No Holds Barred... Favorite Guitarist List

    Here's the 10 & 11 pointers:

    10 Pointer:

Alex Lee - Goldfrapp/Blue Aeroplanes (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

    11 Pointers:

    Lita Ford - The Runaways/Solo (Mister Miracle/HoHo)

    Spoiler:

Jeff Cook - Alabama (Ms Flock)

    Spoiler:

    Noel Gallagher - Oasis/High Flying Birds (OMB/Mikk)

    Spoiler:

Willie Watson - Old Crow Medicine Show/Solo (Baloocha)

    Spoiler:

Alex Lee is well traveled to playing in multiple bands. Lita Ford, love her in the Runaways, but not the biggest fan of her solo stuff. Jeff Cook is an extremely good musician, but gets overlooked being in the country world. Noel Galagher is the only reason I'll listen to Oasis, super talented guy. Forgot Willie Watson from OCMS, if you like Americana-esque music, he's quite good.

    c597ddeaa9b7f5e91860f266073ba489-steve-marriott-small-faces

    Spoiler:

    Lisa Loeb - Solo (Baloocha)
    lisa-loeb

    Spoiler:

A very unique batch here, dominated by the women of guitar. Lisa Loeb is more singer songwriter, but can play...Nita Strauss and Orianthi can wail. Ron Wood and Gerry Marsden are legends. Oz Fox and KK Downing played the metal. Steve Marriott drank to an alarming rate, which is sad, because he could really play and sing.
