I should be going to see this at TIFF if I'm lucky. It does look pretty awesome.

The premise & the cast look awesome but weirdly enough, watching the trailer I got the feeling that it wouldn't click/be very funny. Still hoping to check this one out at some point.

I think a lot of people that are really into it are most likely fans of either Moore, Dolemite or both. I know I appreciate it more being a fan than if I hadn't known much about the guy going in.

I caught this at TIFF on Saturday and I'll go on record as saying I haven't laughed out loud so much at a movie in a long time. Everything about this was great, the music, the costumes, the performances...just everything. Eddie Murphy is actually fairly restrained as Moore, but he's still a powerhouse presence and I'd also like to throw out some big time props to Wesley Snipes for completely stealing the show. I believe this is popping up on Netflix in the next few weeks, so definitely give it a watch when you can.

I'm looking forward to this landing on Netflix, it's been a while since I've seen anything new from Murphy that gave me that reaction.
