I'm into Moxley/Janela and Cody/Darby because it's Darby. Wonder who the lucha bros tag partner is gonna be

Disappointing to see only one womans match on the card, and oddly made up of some joshi wrestlers. I figured they would be the special attractions and the likes of Nyla, smiley kylie, brit, sadie gibbs etc would be their bread and butter talent for the regular shows. 3 and 4 ways do little to build up talent.

Really struggling to come up with a name for the Lucha Bros partners. Maybe one of the AAA guys to add something to that partnership.

Yes to Darby. The women's match looks like fun although a singles showcase is probably preferable.

Brandi teased that there would be another women's match on the show, on twitter.

I never used Bleacher before. Anybody know if we will be able to watch Fyter Fest after the event? There is another promotion running down here during that time.

Yes you can. I’ve watched Double or Nothing about ten times since it happened. It’s a pretty decent app, fairly easy to navigate around.

top 2 singles matches are interesting atleast, though neither should go long. Chances of the mystery partner being PAC? Or is that who they are replacing?

It’s to replace PAC because he doesn’t have a visa but AEW for some reason won’t admit that’s the reason.

    I see

Isn't Jericho vs Page for the title meant to be here or are they holding off for a later show? If so, chances of one of them being the 6th guy?

It'll likely happen on their August show, All Out which is a much bigger show than this. Jericho maybe but he is a heel and it wouldn't make much sense to be the partners of the Lucha Brothers who is very face like. Could be wrong though.

Is it a visa issue? Isn't it because Pac was in their World title plans but fucked them over because he can't take a loss? Pretty sure this match was supposed to progress the Pac/Omega feud but now there's no point of that.

Called it! Laredo Kid has been announced as the partner of the Lucha Bros. Good choice. Someone that's new in this kind of environment. Strengthens the AAA relationship.

    Re: AEW Fyter Fest 29/06/19

Just a small preview of thoughts on tonight's card:

The pre-show looks fine. I expect it to be better than the Buy in for Double or Nothing but still a pre-show worthy hour of wrestling.

Nyla Rose vs. Riho vs. Yuka Sakazaki - This really should've been a singles match and have one of them being in a different match. Going off the four way at Double Or Nothing, this could be one of those matches that doesn't allow anyone to shine properly. Also where is Britt Baker? She won at Double or Nothing and now she isn't on the show. That's just weird to me. Maybe she has another bookings or something but they really should've thought about that before having her win and not Nyla Rose who is in this match.

Hangman Page vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Jungle Boy vs. MJF - Four totally different wrestlers so it could either deliver or bomb. I won't dismiss it but one of the weaker matches on the card. I expect Page to win and MJF to get a good showcase based off his popularity coming out of Double Or Nothing.

Christopher Daniels vs. CIMA - I'm always up and down on Daniels but he did seem to have great chemistry with CIMA at Double Or Nothing and CIMA, when he delivers, is always great. I think this will be a great midcard match to add flavour to the show. Both guys are very charismatic and veterans, so I expect this to be a good match.

Cody vs. Darby Allin - Ask me about this match before Double Or Nothing and I would be hesitant but Cody really seems like he is turning into someone who can have very good-great matches and Darby is Darby. They really put a ton of effort into showcasing Darby through their videos so I expect this to be a total Darby show.

Joey Janela vs. Jon Moxley - Janela can be fun to watch although I wouldn't say I'm his biggest fan. Moxley is very motivated right now, and will undoubtedly want to put in a big shift in this match. I don't see the match being a blow away great match though. But it'll do it's job and be a good match.

The main event - I think we all know what this match will be if you've ever watched a Young Bucks and Co match. I just hope it's a sprint like the main event for All In was instead of being too long and self indulgent. Laredo Kid is a stand out in AAA for me and I'm interested in seeing how he translates to the US crowd. Fully expect Moxley and Omega to have words near the end of the show.

Should be a fun show but it's not a blow away card. Should be a decent lead into the next few shows.

    Re: AEW Fyter Fest 29/06/19

I've got some interest in the show. I think the final few matches should really deliver, and I'm always going to check out Darby's matches wherever he is. Really wish they hadn't put the women in a triple threat because after a 4 way at Double or Nothing, it's starting to look like the women are an afterthought in AEW already and being booked just for a PR show. Booking just the one token womens match but talking up how progressive you are.

I worry about that pre-show as well if that's on ITV4, because that's where the geeky goofy shit is again, you're only going to have so many chances at making a good early impression with new viewers to AEW.

    Re: AEW Fyter Fest 29/06/19

The pre show is kinda misleading too. I don't really see much comedy on the main card so I'm not sure why a comedy wrestler in Nakazawa is doing on a pre show, which is suppose to intice the viewers into buying the show. If they do, they are likely going to be expecting comedy matches to roughly the same extent. And if they don't, then you lost potential viewers by making out the product to be something it's not.

I'm a big fan of DDT but the comedy is really something that should be something to get to watch a company like AEW.

Maybe that's just been too critical though.

Trying to understand what the winner gets here.

Private Party really taking their opportunity to impress in their debut.

Good match. I liked Private Party a lot. I don't much care for the Dark Order feud with the Best Friends.
