    Fucking hyped boys.

Extremely strong card and one of the 4 UFC events I'm likely to be super pumped for.

Jones will win. Nunes vs Holm is close if Holm can survive early power. She's got all the tools to do so. Masvidal might KO Askren too. Think Rockhold can take Blachowicz but interesting to see him at heavyweight. And LOL Diego Sanchez fighting so means Diego Sanchez interviews. Dude is crazy. If he loses by finish, he needs to stop. Undercard is a little meh but main card more than makes up for it. Upset potential left and right.

Those double main event. Jones is my favourite mma fighter so I'm always pumped for his fights but Nunes V Holms makes me excited too. I like the undercard as well.

    Yeah...

    That was something else.

EDIT: THAT wasn’t bad either. Three great KO’s in a row.

There's few things better in MMA than seeing Rock hold get KO'd. The guy never learns does he?

Welp, safe to say Nunes is the greatest female MMA fighter of all time by a landslide now.
    Everything will surely be alright.

Fuck me last night was great haha. Rockhold got sparked out so that was great, shame about Askren cause am a big fan of his but fuckin hell Masvidal looked incredible, Amanda Nunes beating Holm with a head kick is just poetic, violently beautiful & Santos held his own against Jones, would defo be up for a rematch down the line if Santos gets some wins again

Nunes and Valentina are so high level compared to everyone else that its crazy. Nunes murks everyone who isn't Valentina (or Zingano) and Valentina herself handles everyone she fights pretty easily and without any danger. They're the only real challenge for each other.

I'm sure Dana White loved seeing Askren get KO'd.

I've heard quite a few people who were there live say they thought Jones smoked Santos to be fair

It was a split decision and I don't see many people calling bullshit on the judges for that. Jones couldn't walk out of the cage on his own. Against an opponent who was on one leg for 4 rounds. The injury alone should make a rematch a given, let alone being a split decision. I thought Jones won, but trying to see it as one-sided seems dicey to me.

Jones escaped with a win, but admitted Santos put him in a bad way exploiting a hole in his game (the leg kicks). White hates Askren, so I know he was happy with the spectacular loss. Askren was great though, his Twitter response was, "Well that sucked."

Re: UFC 239 July 6th - Jones Vs Santos

Askren's career just got ended really. That was pretty insane.

I thought Jones won 3-2 and I do think, weirdly, it was close... but also not very. Santos wasn't robbed but I would certainly argue he robbed Jones if he won. I felt, viewing the fight, that Jones was using the entire fight as a breather. I also think he's clearly not motivated to fight these guys. The difference in Jones in the OSP/Santos fights against Gus/DC is pretty staggering. He needs to fight somebody with legit hype. I went into that fight thinking Jones would absolutely smoke Santos and I still think he would if they rematched. Jon is showing signs of regression in this fight whilst Santos doesn't really offer much signs of progression. Weird one. No rematch for me. Jones vs DC 3 or Ngannou next. Let the LHWs build themselves up. Hope Blachowicz isn't going to fight Jones next. Wouldn't be the right step.

Nunes is pretty much the female GOAT ye yup. Hard to even deny at this point but I'd like to see the rematch vs Cyborg. Could change everything.

Other shit: Song Yadong looked good, Gilbert and Diego really did not.
