Joshua vs Ruiz - June 1st

A really good behind the scenes for this fight. I would really dig a Ruiz upset, but I don't see it happening.

If AJ doesn't win in two or three rounds he's going to end up getting nobody next fight again haha.

Yeah I really want to Joshua, Fury, and Wilder keep winning till 2020 all these I'm the top Heavyweight problems gets solved out. Wilder needs to fight Fury again to me he loss that fight then Joshua vs the Winner for all the belts. It needs to happen.

Well Wilder is fighting Ortiz again next, so we may end up getting AJ vs Fury first, however AJ will have some other American lined up to continue to build his name in America I expect.

AJ stopped wowzers didn't see that one coming, already called for a rematch in London too. Ruiz has the belts so guess what lads, if he wants it to be in America or in Mexico he can haha.

Wonder if this is the very reason AJ has somehow never come to a deal to fight Wilder or Fury, heck even a rematch with Whyte who troubled him?

I've always thought AJ wasn't quite as good as the hype made him out to be, but I was still shocked to see Ruiz beat him, and at that drop him 4 times. Sort of get the. Feeling AJ was more focused on confronting Wilder at Wilder v Ortiz II than he was on this fight.

More than likely was. Problem AJ has now is even if he does win the rematch, he'll need to build his credibility again before he has a chance of facing the winner of Wilder/Fury II if it happens haha.

For AJ it surely has to be rematch with Ruiz, then if he wins that he needs to be facing the likes of Whyte and Parker again before he's considered ready for Wilder or Fury.

Yeah his negotiating power with Fury and Wilder took a big hit, even if he wins the belts back in the rematch. Which I'm pretty sure AJ had an immediate rematch clause in the contract for this fight. Wilder is loving this upset though after all of AJs talk that Wilder was always to blame for their fight not coming to be.

I'd like to see a Parker v AJ rematch outside of the UK. Dont get me wrong I think AJ is better than Parker, but the referee in their first fight was blindingly biased towards AJ and broke them up the very second that Parker got past AJ's reach every time in their first fight. Would be interesting to see how close a fight Parker could make it if he was allowed to work.

This is an exciting result for HW Boxing though. Who knows Ruiz could force his way into being the fourth man at the top of the HW Mountain alongside AJ, Fury, and Wilder. And Joe Parker is the only man to beat Ruiz as well, so there's potentially another name with some more relevance right now. And Wilder's rematch with Ortiz isn't a guarantee either, Ortiz had him hurt badly in the first fight. HW could suddenly have a boat load of interesting potential fights soon.

Agreed. Hopefully with others being brought into the mix now we could get the big fights we all want to see happening.

Words by Ruiz himself and being Hispanic I'm happy to see this guy on top of the World right now. Seeing Joshua being put down is something you saw if you've been watching Joshua fight vs Wladimir Klitschko. He had him down and Joshua was able to survive and come back and get the win. That wasn't the case this time around, and this win by Ruiz shakes up everything. Should be great to see who comes out King of the Heavyweights.

This was unbelievable, of course I had to work. Watching the highlights seeing Ruiz after getting knocked down come back that was pretty damn awesome.

It was hilarious watching Ruiz run back to his corner after every knockdown. Those Ruiz punches looked frigging powerful.

Ruiz had such a strong chin, Also Joshua showing great sportsmanship after was good to see.
