Re: WWE Predictions League: Season 9 (2019-2020)

Honestly, I like to think of it as more of a 'self-imposed challenge.' We've all heard how predictable WWE can be, why not put it to the test and see if you can pinpoint exactly how much? It's really just for funzies.

Ugh. Can the cut off not be earlier for this? I’m gonna be so annoyed when they start announcing matches at 4/5pm US time and I totally forget to actually do my predictions waiting for those matches to be announced

This is certainly a pain in the backside!!! I feel bad that you have to facilitate this.

Apologies about my more criptic guesses as well.

Question though do we consider Mandible Claw a submission or not? I consider it more of a 'KO' type thing?

    Good question.

I've seen cases where the Claw is used both as a submission and a KO/pinfall move, so I would base the result on a match-by-match status. Like if, in this case, Seth taps out when it's applied, then I'd consider it a victory via submission, whereas if it's applied to the point of knockout, then Seth is pinned, then it's a victory via pinfall/KO.

Re: WWE Predictions League: Season 9 (2019-2020)

Since it's highly unlikely I'll be able to edit in any last-minute match announcements considering the timing, I'm making a judgement call: Consider only the matches in the prediction thread applicable to your predictions. If any other matches, announced or otherwise, occur at HIAC, they are considered null & void for this prediction contest.

For example, picture bonus question one as 'Which of the above matches (Rollins/Wyatt, Reigns/Bryan/Harper/Rowan, Lynch/Banks, Bayley/Flair) will happen first?' instead of 'which match will open the show.' If another match, announced or otherwise, opens the show then it'll be ignored for this. For all intents and purposes, I'll be looking at which of the four announced matches will answer the bonus questions as accurately as they can.

To clarify: Aside from the four currently announced matches, no other matches on HIAC will count for this. At this point I don't care if eight more matches happen that all end in submission, I'm only counting it if it happens in Rollins/Wyatt, Reigns/Bryan/Harper/Rowan, Lynch/Banks, or Bayley/Flair.

Bludgeon in a Dungeon is in the rear view mirror now, not without difficulty. Here's the results, but before hand, a remainder of the notice I posted in the thread a few hours before the show, where only four matches were confirmed:

For those who sent in PMs after extra matches were announced, sorry, but due to WWE's inability to announce more than four matches the day before the show, I've only counted results for those four matches.

    Anyway. Results!
