I personally think its Johnny Gargano still. Almost every match I've seen, it's been terrible. Ricochet, Cole, Cole, Cole. The DIY matches weren't good at all. He even had one of Roddy's weakest matches. Easily him for me.

Most of the guys EC listed are so irrelevant thought. Whats worse being a terrible World Champion constantly churning out garbage in the Main Event or just producing average, unremarkable stuff all year long in the midcard.

Like its hard to argue Ziggler has been worse than Rollins when Ziggler has done bugger all year while Rollins has been at the top of the card putting on dud after dud.

Rollins could be on the list but its not really his fault its the booking because in the ring he is good.

Rollins is nearly a cert for me with 2 months left of the year. I've gone from being meh about him and his abilities to actively disliking them. Other than the Brock stuff, he has been woeful. I'm in the camp of Brock being the one that makes these matches special too so I'm not exactly attributing points to Seth there either. I can't really think of anyone who makes me groan nearly instantly other than Seth.

Is there a minimum number of matches or match time needed to qualify for this award? Because my pick is Brock Lesnar. He's had one good match this year and that was against Balor at the Rumble. WrestleMania started out as a typical Lesnar squash before Rollins turned the tables (very similar the Balor match in the way that one man dominated the match before eventually losing in two moves). Summerslam was better than 'Mania, but other than that, he entered Money in the Bank and grabbed the briefcase, that's it. He then cashed in on Rollins in a typical MITB cash-in match, beat Kofi in five seconds, then had yet another squash match this time against Cain Velasquez. The match with Velasquez kinda felt like the 1998 Hogan-Warrior match was rumored to be in that Velasquez was brought in just so he could job to Lesnar in short order and give Lesnar a one-up on him.

I don't support that motion, personally. The two matches with Rollins and the one with Balor are enough to save Brock for me. And I feel like other than the Cain match, he hasn't had any BAD matches to justify giving him this award. Plus, how can I vote for Brock when he gave us this?

I liked the Cain match. He carried Seth to two good matches and had an excellent match (and performance btw) against Balor at the Rumble. So no. And he'll likely have a great match with Rey as well.

Nothing Brock has done has been flat out terrible though. Like I know most people love the Brock-Rollins matches. But my issue with them is Seth's complete and utter inability to sell anything to display any ring psychology. Brock hasn't done much great, but he doesn't have a constantly growing list of absolute garbage like Seth Rollins has.

I think the others are fair, but what was good about the Cain match?

It had a decent start (I say start but it was the match) with Cain kicking Brock a few times. Also liked how Brock tripped Cain and locked on the Kimura. It was a fun minute.

The Cain match was abysmal and essentially killed all interest of Cain in WWE within 2 minutes.

the Rollins Summerslam match and balor rumble match is enough to save Brock I think.

As much as I don’t like how Brock has the company over a barrel and contributes overall very little but is still awarded with championship reigns where he is absent for 90% of the time and gets paid more than anyone else on the roster, there’s no denying that when he does show up he is entertaining and he does put on good matches. The Balor match was great and I’m sure the Rey match will be too.

The fact that he’s put together a decent streak of actually appearing is also making me come around on him a bit too.
