Big props to Sakura for Fundamentals, great film that I simply had no room for

Kubo was good, but I preferred pretty much all of Laika's previous efforts to it unfortunately.

Yeah, I used to work in that field myself. So between that and liking Paul Rudd a lot, figured I'd give it my #1. Also, Craig Roberts was in Submarine...one of my all time favorites. And Selena Gomez was pretty entertaining in it, too.
Everything will surely be all right.

Here we go, final batch before the Fave Five begins (hopefully) tomorrow...

    9. Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping - 60 Points (Silk #2, Slick Mitch #4)

    8T. Arrival - 70 Points (Thundercat #1, Shawn #4)

    8T. 10 Cloverfield Lane - 70 Points (Shawn #2, Thundercat #3)

    7. A Silent Voice - 80 Points (Jon Snow #1, Postman Dave #3)

    6T. The Nice Guys - 90 Points (Slick Mitch #1, BD22 #4, Creeping Death #4)

    6T. Your Name - 90 Points (Postman Dave #1, Jon Snow #2)

10 Cloverfield Lane and The Nice Guys are solid shouts here and I enjoyed both quite a bit. Didn't really care much for Arrival and I haven't seen the rest yet.

Next up, the Fave Five begins~!

Hacksaw ridge was really well done and to see the interview of the actual guy at the end describing what you just saw was pretty cool too.

Your name was a magnificent movie. I need to watch the other one Jon and Dave voted as I have not seen that one yet.

Gutted Your Name couldn't crack top 5, swear more people here rated it than just me and Jon. Beautiful movie.

Conversely, really pleased A Silent Voice finished so high. Suffers from living in Your Name's shadow when in reality it'd be a number one animated movie every other year. Again, Jon is the man.

Arrival was real good, Nice Guys isn't as good as it thinks it is, 10 Cloverfield is pretty good but not a batch on the original.

A Silent Voice & Your Name. are two of the greatest movies I've seen. Although I doubt it'll reach the godliness of the animated version, I hope that JJ Abrams (I think he's in charge) does well by the live action adaption. I think it'll be a bit challenging to do a Your Name. adaption without the Japanese context though, and I'm worried about that.

Either way, everyone should give both of those movies a shot. I've watched both a dozen times.

Apologies everyone, it’s been a crazy and hectic weekend and I just haven’t had the time for this. I’m hoping to get it updated today but if not then we’ll pick things up tomorrow.

    Thanks for your patience.

Re: WC's Fave Five Movies of 2016 Redux Part Deux~!

Alright peeps, I've got a few spare moments here so let's kick off the Fave Five...

    5. The Accountant - 100 Points (Fuji Vice #2, Mister Miracle #3, Professor Booty #3)

    4. Hell or High Water - 180 Points (Creeping Death #1, Wolf Beast #1, Slick Mitch #2, Silk #3, Mister Miracle #5)

Two solid choices up there start us off and of course I need to give my requisite BIG TIME FUJI PROPS to Mister Miracle and the good Professor Booty for backing me on The Accountant love. I didn't expect much but I was totally blown away and would gladly watch it again one of these days. Hell or High Water is excellent as well and I just didn't have room for it this time around. I'm not surprised to see it maintain a spot in the Fave Five.

Next up, we'll finish things off with our top three~!

As an Affleck and Kendrick mark I've been meaning to watch the Accountant for a minute. Glad some folks like it so much, may need to bump it up the queue.

For some reason the notion of Affleck playing a super smart guy is hilarious to me. That being said I really dug The Accountant.

Re: WC's Fave Five Movies of 2016 Redux Part Deux~!

Hey, hey, hey, I'm back with the final part of the list. Here you are folks, the top three...

    3. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - 220 Points (Fuji Vice #1, Kairi HoHo #2, Professor Booty #2, Wang Chung #2, Jimmy King #3, Postman Dave #4)

    2. Deadpool - 300 Points (Jimmy King #1, Professor Booty #1, Mister Miracle #2, RED #2, Wolf Beast #2, Shawn #3, Wang Chung #3, Kairi HoHo #5, Thundercat #5)

    and YOUR number one...

    1. Captain America: Civil War - 440 Points (Kairi HoHo #1, Mister Miracle #1, RED #1, Shawn #1, Silk #1, Wang Chung #1, Jimmy King #2, Postman Dave #2, Fuji Vice #3, Jon Snow #3)

Not a very surprising top three considering it's the same as the last time we did this list. I was actually kind of hoping that Rogue One would jump a spot as I feel it plays a little better than Deadpool on re-watch, but I've got no issues with the placements staying the same either. BIG TIME FUJI PROPS to all voters of both movies that I voted for and those who voted for Deadpool, as I had to leave it off of my list this time around.

So there we have it folks, another year in the books and another list down. I'd like to thank everyone for your participation, your comments and, most importantly, your patience in waiting for me to get this one done. I'll have the next topic up this afternoon as it looks like my schedule has finally cleared up a little. Cheers~!

Re: WC's Fave Five Movies of 2016 Redux Part Deux~!

Agreed about Rogue One and Deadpool. Rogue gets better with time, and I dunno, I find myself liking the whole Deadpool series less and less with time.

More than happy with Civil War at the top.

Rogue one is just pure greatness and I watch it anytime I see it on Netflix or wherever.

The accountant was beyond great and Itotally overlooked it for my list it might have have knocked one of mine off the list.

    Civil war was so great.
