Fast Lane WWE Fastlane 2019 - Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs The Miz & Shane McMahon

The Miz & Shane McMahon may have come together for different reasons - one for the love for his father and the other to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a Tag Team Champion. However, once they solidified their tandem, they clawed their way to the top of SmackDown’s Tag Team division by dethroning The Bar at the Royal Rumble and validated The A-Lister’s claims that they were “The Best Tag Team in the World.”

Unfortunately, that dream quickly turned into a nightmare when they charged into The Uso Penitentiary at WWE Elimination Chamber and lost the coveted titles in a thrilling match against Jimmy & Jey.

While the six-time Tag Team Champions walked out of the action-packed pay-per-view having further solidified themselves as one of the most dominant combinations in history, Miz was left devastated at the thought that he had let down Shane, his dad and everyone else. As a result, The A-Lister returned to SmackDown LIVE and asked Shane to grant them a rematch for the titles. Though Shane-O-Mac hesitated at first, he decided that The Usos’ aggression would not stand when they came calling.

Can the self-proclaimed “Best Tag Team in the World” overcome SmackDown’s longest-tenured tag team? Don’t miss WWE Fastlane on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 7 ET/4 PT to see which team is left standing, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network!

Miz turns on Shane, Or Shane turns on Miz
They face each other at WrestleMania

Pretty much the only reason this pairing has happened.

I think the moment Miz turns on Shane, they'd be wise to have Miz's father being proud of Miz for teaming with Shane be the driving factor. Multiple world titles, WM main events, his own TV show, but its Shane McMahon who his father is proud of. Miz hates Shane for it. Writes itself.

That would be a good and sensible route to take to get them to WrestleMania

I think it would be funnier if they just put the belts back on Shane/Miz and then had them defending at 'Mania in the traditional tag team clusterfuck match.

The one story in WWE I'm interested in right now. Looking forward to seeing Miz snap on Shane.

I see that most people are assuming that Miz turns on Shane, but I'm thinking that they may swerve us and have Shane turn o Miz. People seem to be behind Miz as a face for the first time in, well, ever perhaps (his last face run was horrible). He's such a damn good heel though I guess it's to be expected that he's the one that turns on Shane.
I'm not completely sold on who turns on who but I think it's a given that the turn will happen here to set up their Mania match vs each other.

I wonder who The Usos will face at Wrestlemania though? DIY? Don't really want to see them vs New Day or The Bar again, I'd rather it be a fresh feud.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Miz stay face, as great a heel as he is he was heel for what 6-7(?) years straight and he has the audience behind him now. I think he benefits from the fact that people have finally gotten over the stigma that hes just a reality TV guy and has no talent. The only thing holding him back there is WWE cant book babyfaces at all.

It makes more sense for Miz to turn, and is probably a better more digestible moment for all to see Miz turn and kick Shanes ass as opposed to Shane going heel and destroying The Miz in 2019.

Usos vs Hardys has a nice ring to it.

If Shane turns then I could see him destroy Miz but then put Miz over at Wrestlemania, then do a big father son thing with Miz and his Dad there. That's yet another face win though on what's lining up to be a face-win-heavy card. Miz going over at Mania I think is something we can all agree on so I hope to God that they don'thave Shane go over.

I completely forgot that The Hardys returned as a tag team this week. Them vs The Usos is perfect since Jeff isn't doing anything else right now and it's a dream match.

Miz turned facce a few years back and even had a brief thing with Brock, though I don't think it ever resulted in a match. If I remember correctly it's when he started adopting Flairs moves and shit. Didn't work out too well

I could easily see Shane getting the win at Mania, he's sort of due a win at Mania now, and Miz is clearly a guy WWE dont have any concerns about jobbing out to Shane. Apart from brief periods once a year where hes randomly booked strongly Miz pretty much does nothing but job.

Agreed, and I find that sad. If there's anyone who's due a big Wrestlemania win it's Miz. I'm astounded that he's not been pushed back into the main event picture, especially since they re-established the brand split. It could be interesting to see a face Miz taking on a heel Daniel Bryan for the title down the line though, if Bryan holds the title for a while.

But you're right, I wouldn't at all be surprised if Shane beat Miz at Mania.
