    Andrade Almas

    El Idolo!

Great match with Mysterio on Smackdown, reminded me of the great matches he had with Styles last year. Excellent heel base against fliers, loads of personality and character work, took a big spill to the floor, and is one of the best right now at putting together a fast paced go-go-go end run while still having stuff look organic.

NXT run saw him become one of the best heels going, with strong matches against Gargano, Black, and Strong off my head. If WWE pulled the trigger and gave him a big feature run this year he could be a Top 10 guy, but worst case scenario he feels like a Top 50 must.

Oh I think he's an absolute lock to make the list and be a top 25 guy. He's turned into the best TV worker in WWE since his main roster callup and when you give him an opportunity to put together something great, you get his last couple of Takeover performances which were exceptional and includes most people's MOTY with Johnny Gargano. I don't know how much of his pre-NXT run in 2015 is worth seeing but if my dates are correct the great mask match with Atlantis is during this period. The big issue is how long it took NXT to get the most out of him, 2016 had some nice matches and that's about it.

Nitpicking, but I wish he'd stop doing the moonsault into standing moonsault combo, we've all seen it a hundred times now. Wouldn't kill him to switch it up a bit and land the initial moonsault now and again.

    He’s a definite lock for me. Probably a 25 to 35 for me. He’s a dynamite worker.

Certainly one of the 50 best wrestlers in the last 5 years. Am very happy to see people appreciate his work, a fantastic talent and hope for the best for him even in crazy times in WWE.

Another great match between Andrade and Rey this week, even with the botch and the interference. Their chemistry reminds me of Rey's chemistry with Eddie, which is high praise, and they continue to do some pretty innovative stuff. That top rope powerbomb was also fucking bananas. Feels Top 20 to me.

The powerbomb was incredible how he just effortlessly stood up from middle to top rope with Rey on his shoulders. So glad that was given the first fall to put over how big a move that was.

    Re: Andrade Almas

Man Andrade has kinda dropped off a lot since those Rey matches. The stuff with Crews was good for Apollo Crews matches, but thats about it in recent memory. Is he hurt?

Looking back from 2015, I remember the trios with Rush & Wagner Jr. vs Atlantis/PARK/Volador being pretty great. Can't remember much else from the end of his Mexico run.

His initial NXT run as babyface was pretty bland, but once he turned heel he got significantly better. The Strong TakeOver match was a really good, stiff match and the first Johnny Gargano match was also very good. Then obviously he had the main event run where he has probably Gargano and Black's career matches.

He has a pretty good match with Gable in the KOTR which might be up uninterrupted by ad breaks on the network by now. I don't think he's hurt, they just have nothing for him.
