I'll take it ugly. Edelman for MVP, maybe Michel, but Julian should win it.

    McVay got out coached. Hard.

    And Goff looked pretty bad.

    Edelman for sure the MVP.
Everything will surely be all right.

    That game...wasn't enjoyable...at all.

Masterclass in coaching by Belichick to hold that high-powered Rams team to just 3 points. Brady's the GOAT, the end.

I feel bad for the Rams'defence. They got asked to do far more than anyone could expect and held the Patriots down to just 13 points. Not one of the Rams'defence deserved to be on the losing team.

Robert Kraft should have Jonathan Kraft do the talking, he's probably not hammered.

Congratulations New England Patriots on winning their SIXTH Super Bowl championship, tying the Steelers.

What else to say to what Belichick and Brady have accomplished, and it all started with both Belichick and Brady joined the Patriots back in 2000. Their accomplishments as well as the team's accomplishments, is just legendary.

Edelman deserved the MVP for his performance tonight. Well done!

Look at the bright side Rams. You were 13-3 in the regular season...
    Spoiler:

...And you ended up losing 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII.

McVay should have stuck with what brought them to the chase.

Instead he played super, super conservative even til the last seconds of the game.
Everything will surely be all right.

Congrats to Brady getting number 6 now he is great like Thanos. Don't think I didn't see you shaking hands with Rams players, something you didn't do with Eagles players in a loss last year

Teams do this all the time against New England. It's a consistent thing. They abandon everything that worked for them all season because they get super nervous about going up against this team. They get scared.

It's crazy really, how much of a psychological effect New England has had on their opponents over the last decade.

Re: 2018 NFL Season Discussion Thread

McVay and the entire Rams young core showed their lack of experience in these types of games. Yeah, McVay had a tight ass calling plays all night, but Belicheck mind-fucked him in the Xs and Os department from the first drive on. It's crazy that he waited until the 4th quarter while the Rams were driving to dial up a full house cover 0 blitz, with a backup safety to boot. I'm just glad we got a clean game without all the bullshit penalties/bad calls/no calls we are accustomed to seeing every game- so no controversy regarding the referees. I don't even think a play was reviewed tonight.

Highly underrated player of the game was Patriots fullback James Develin. Guy was creating craters for his backs all night.

Congrats to the Patriots. It's crazy to keep a dynasty going based off of defensive schemes in today's day in age.

I thought it was fun. I get some people prefer the bang bang, high scoring offensive wars...But hey, it was a nice change of pace.

Re: 2018 NFL Season Discussion Thread

You know it's bad when even Ed knew the Rams were toast after the Pats TD.

The MVP should have gone to Belichick. From a coaching perspective that's as one sided of a performance as I can remember in a Super Bowl. McVay was in way over his head.

Also think the crowd was a somewhat underrated factor, it had to be a psych out to read all week about how nobody wants the Pats to win then in the stadium face a crowd that's louder than any New England home game. I've never heard a crowd chant for Brady so loud.

The INT by Goff was godawful. Even me in 8th grade would have made a throw that wouldn't have hung in the air that long. But don't forget that throw 1 play before that was brilliant that Cooks blew that would have been a TD. Cooks also made a terrible read on the INT too. Not to defend Goff's bad play, but between him, McVay, & Cooks. There were 3 Stooges for the Rams.

Feel bad for the Rams D. Deserved to win as much as anybody.

Watched until the end of the third quarter then bounced. I don't think I found it quite as dull as some regular fans did but that's one of the perks of being a casual I guess.

I watched all of about 3 minutes of the game, but I forgot to proclaim on Twitter that I WAZ NOT WATCHING so all my not watching went to waste! Nooooooo.........

Basically the perfect cap to a season in which my interest as a fan finally fully flat-lined. Even if it had been the most exciting Super Bowl in the history of Super Bowls, I doubt it would have spurred back toward paying attention.

It was a rather euphoric experience for me. I had an unhealthy hatred for New England, but after their win I've just accepted it is what it is. Like I've transitioned through all the stages of grief.

I'm really trying to train my sports mind into more of a sports reporters kind of mind. Analysts and reporters have this ability to look at things from a fact perspective and an unbiased (to the best of their ability) perspective.

I want to really try and adopt that kind of mindset. What happens, happens. It is what it is, and what happens is meant to be.

Brady won, he's a 6x Super Bowl champion, and that's the way it is.
