Y'all LSU fans cheering that intentional hit on Tua's knee huh?

I hope we blow y'all out by 30 points, so y'all better check yourselves!

It wasn't his knee that took the hit.

    My bad, the groin.

    At least Tua is okay.

Certainly seems like he's not suffering any effects so that's a good thing. Based on that clip they showed of Hurts "jogging" in the pre-game I don't think you want him to have to come into the game.

He needs to be very careful on the field after that scare.

I've read some shit that some LSU players want to take out Tua's knees and take him out of the game. How pathetic to say such thing. He's just jealous cause he hasn't thrown a pick yet.

26 touchdowns without an interception to start the season has officially ended when Tua threw his first pick.

That's still an amazing stat for the quarterback.

If you haven't read the same rumor about every opponent, you didn't look hard enough.

What a stellar performance by Alabama, by shutting out #3 LSU 29-0.

Bama's defense shut down LSU 's offense and took advantage of their offense all night. Bama's offense shred LSU's apart relentlessly. It was a complete mismatch.

This team maybe the best Bama team ever at this rate after the season we're having.

I always wonder how many Bama footballers could ND/Stanford recruit?

For those two schools to have the success they do with the inability to recruit like most schools is amazing.

Can't see Alabama losing any game this season. Hell I can't even see them winning any game by less than 20 points. Makes for a rather boring college football season, tbh. Everyone's just playing and fighting to get fed to Alabama, because the way this team is set up and how they execute, nobody is going to sniff them in any game barring some ridiculous lack of judgment from Tua, which doesn't seem likely. The most dangerous Alabama team I have seen in a while, quite possibly ever.

That's how it is 95% of the time with Alabama, though.

It's not like them being the best team in college football and near unstoppable is some new thing.

The only new thing about it is that they have a legitimate top tier college QB now, whereas they usually make their magic work with very subpar QB play (makes it all the more impressive tbh).

Tua or no Tua though, Bama's not going anywhere till Saban does. Another reason I just can't get into this college football malarky anymore.

I mean, the team I watch is in a small division of schools not anywhere near that level. So, it's generally not nearly as bad. In most of the big leagues, you just see one big school dominating everything.

Tua has his ups and downs, but isn't nearly as impressive as Herbert or 3-4 other guys. But he fits perfectly for what Alabama is, and it doesn't really matter how good or bad he is. His mechanics need a lot of work, but who knows where he'll go. Definitely could see him being Baker Mayfield esque.

I don't think there is a college team right now that is better Alabama. Maybe a team like Michigan could get by them on a good day and I hope I get the chance to see them across the field from each other in the postseason.

The 2018 Alabama team maybe considered the best team ever assembled for the school. If Bama wins out, they could join an elite club with the 1995 Nebraska the 2001 Miami and 2004 USC football teams (which USC's matter of dispute because of the Reggie Bush scandal, resulting in USC forfeiting the final two games of the season) of having the absolute most dominant season in college football history. Yet, Bama needs to prove that with the remaining games left on their schedule and the College Football Playoff in the air.

Re: 2018 College Football Discussion Thread

I mean, is it really that big of a difference or deal if you are going to go all the way, a perfect season, and win the big game anyway?

Just being even more statistically superior than the other times it's happened?

It's like saying "Hm. If only the '72 Dolphins had less points allowed, more yardage each game, etc.".

    Style points, I guess.

Re: 2018 College Football Discussion Thread

Another SEC game, another SEC shutout against #16 Mississippi State 24-0!

Offensively, this was our worst game this year. Tua got hurt again and this time he was out with the injury, which Saban says he's okay. Our running game wasn't the best, but at least Josh Jacobs had a very good game, getting closed to the century mark.

Defensively, just like the LSU game they managed to shut their opponent out breaking no sweat. The defense only gave up 169 yards, simply an amazing defense. The defense continues to be arguably the best defense in the country. They got talent.

We play the Citadel next week. That gives Tua time to rest until the big Iron Bowl game.

Re: 2018 College Football Discussion Thread

Bama's been dominant for years because of a physical running game and a fantastic defense. I couldn't tell you the last time they had a QB that could be a legitimate difference maker like Tua is for them. He's basically played only half or 3/4's of Alabama's games this season, so I don't see these "ups and downs" that you speak of. Their defense is scary, as always, their running game is fantastic, as it normally is...but now, instead of the "game manager" QB they've been having with the likes of McElroy, McCarron, Hurts, etc. they have a QB that can take over games IF the running game can't get going.

Bama has been dominant for years, but this is as complete a football team as they've quite possibly ever had.

Re: 2018 College Football Discussion Thread

Depth of big fast def linemen is what seperates Bama from everybody else.

    While here.

Auburn has a frosh WR named Anthony Schwartz, he is the fastest player in NCAA football. Putting it in perspective.

    Chiefs Tyreek Hill 10.18 100m, Schwartz 10.15.

So when the TV guys say...."he has world class speed".....he does.
