I mean, there is DLC (I'm assuming, it hasn't been announced yet but there is every year).

But thats for a few extra wrestlers down the line. The game comes with 170 plus on disc with purchase (Don't quote me on that number). Plus online creating has gotten way beyond anywhere that it used to be so you can always download people's created versions of anyone not featured so there wouldn't be the pressure to go out and buy the dlc if you couldn't / or didn't feel like it. I had to do it last year so I could run the UK brand in my universe mode.

Pretty much. They usually issue a ‘season pass’ when the game comes out with all the DLC included. Last year it was like $30 on top of the game. Wouldn’t shock me if it’s even more this year. Totally get why they do it but man DLC sucks.

This is one of the main reasons why I haven't purchased the game for a couple of years now. To get the full out of the game you'll need the DLC (We all know this stuff is all ready to go so it's just an extra money spinner) which is just ridiculous.

Also bringing back big head mode....are we back in the 90's for some novelty huh? This is WWF Warzone kind of stuff.
I have a plan so cunning......

Well after watching this trailer I'm a little more excited about the game. Clears up a few things and makes a bit more sense to the Wyatt Compound and so on.

His voice is a little annoying but here are some new features to Universe Mode. Nothing to fancy but I like the MITB options. Also I tend to play every match of my Universe Mode to make sure the person who I want to win- wins. So I'm pretty happy to have the option that I can now choose who wins the matches where I want someone to win.

So theres been a bunch of changes in regards to MITB huh?

I like the lil tweaks they've made to Universe mode. Stuff like setting divisions is something i've wanted for years. Shame Rivalries & Promos still suck though.

    Yeah mate! Pretty cool.

Same, I agree :/ Always a mixed bag when it comes to 2K it seems.

Wish I had a PS4 just for this game. Graphics are on point. Was collision detection ever fixed though?

    Re: WWE2K19

I think this is going to be the first WWE game I've bought in a while. I've been craving a wrestling game for a few months now, and I've been checking out the gameplay videos of this and like what I see. Had a look at the cell shaded gameplay option and it looks fantastic like that. MyCareer getting updated is a big plus.

    Re: WWE2K19

Yeah I was planning to pass on this game originally but the information that came from the youtubers has sold me on it. I'm still likely waiting a week or 2 for a price drop, but I'll be picking this up.

Ill play career mode for the first time as well, and towers might be okay.

It's still a little clunky but I am loving loving loving this game. It's my first wrestling game in a while so everything feels fresh to me. Creation mode is fantastic.

Some of the models look odd (particularly the women) and some of the gameplay can be a bit iffy but I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far.

This is easily the best 2K game yet for WWE. MyCareer Mode is incredibly good, an there’s a lot about it that’s made it more fun than the last couple.

I'm a pretty big hater of 2k's WWE games but I guess I'm going to give this one a go as well. Hopefully the game modes are a little more thorough than before.

I bought this thing because I have no willpower and am woefully addicted to wrestling games.

It's actually really awesome. The 'indie wrestling is amateur bullshit' narrative runs a little too strong for my tastes, but the gameplay is pretty good.

What really surprises me is the writing/direction of the cutscenes. There's humor, intrigue, and perhaps most importantly of all: great timing. This isn't going to win a videogame award for its script but it's such a breath of fresh air. I didn't expect this to have an entertaining story at all but I'm #ALLIN.

The lootbox (really 'card packs') system is also interesting, because you would think that having all of the options at your disposal is ideal, but really, it's way more rewarding to periodically unlock and enhance your character over time.

I imagine I'll get a fair amount of play with this before Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out. Perhaps it will feel shiny and new long enough that I won't even notice the cracks by the time I get sucked into the wild, wild west.
Prepare to lose a war of attrition in 10,000 words or more.

    Re: WWE2K19

I think this might be heresy to say, but this might be my favourite wrestling game ever.

The fights feel so good and dramatic. The matches are challenging and exciting, the creation suite is of course amazing. MyCareer is hokey but loads of fun, and props to the guy from Tough Enough (and all the voice acting, sans John Cena) because they all did a great job and the humour hit the mark

Royal Rumbles are a treat this year. They used to be a bit of a slog and repetitive, but now you constantly have to watch your stamina and if you trying and do a running clothesline to get someone out you can eliminate them instantly - or get thrown out yourself. There's a proper feel of risk-reward to it.
