    Biography:

Dave Sullivan started his career in 2011 at the age of 24 in an Indy promotion founded by himself and his cousin Broc Flucker. The promotion was called the Hardcore Wrestling Association (HWA). Sullivan quickly rose to the top of the HWA promotion, and become the HWA World Champion. It was then that he started a feud with one of the biggest stars of the promotion, Tommy Thunder. Tommy and Dave were set the main event the promotion's biggest Pay Per View of the year...Victory Point. Not only was Sullivan's world championship on the line, but if he lost to Tommy Thunder than Dave would be forced to retire as an HWA wrestler. In their only fight, Thunder beat Sullivan for the championship.

Sullivan would then become HWA's interim CEO, after his cousin Broc Flucker was mysteriously attacked in a parking lot. It was soon figured out that Sullivan was behind the attack the entire time, and it was all a ploy to sole control of the company. That summer, Broc Flucker and Dave Sullivan would fight for the sole ownership rights of HWA. Broc would go on to defeat his cousin, banishing Sullivan from the Hardcore Wrestling Association. However, Flucker went bankrupt soon after and the small indy promotion was forced to fold. Thus, began Sullivan's career in the big leagues.

Debuting in the FWA in July 2012 at the age of 26, Dave Sullivan was at one point a charismatic young star in the FWA with a lot of potential. But he went into a spiral, and everything around him crashed and burned. He began betting on his matches, and got involved in organized crime. Shortly after he became addicted to heroin, and would abuse the drug to get through his matches. He went through rehab, but it did no use. After a short return to the FWA in the summer of 2014, Sullivan was arrested on multiple charges of drug possession, armed robbery, and even homicide. Sullivan's insanity plea was denied by the judge, but in a turn of events he was found not guilty of all the homicide and robbery charges due to lack of evidence. He plead guilty to the drug charges, and was sentenced to an indeterminate sentence of 6 to 12 months in the county jail.

In May 2015 he was let out early for good behavior, and somehow managed to land a brand new contract with the FWA after learning a whole new style of combat during his stay in prison. After finding God, he returned under the guise of "The Redemption", a masked hero looking to complete his journey with the help of his Lord, with the help of his former county jail cellmate and mentor James Cross. After unmasking at Mile High 2015 and reclaiming the X-Division Championship for the second time in his career, Dave begain to discover that his graceful redemption was not so graceful after all. Sullivan discovered that he was manipulated by James Cross the entire team, and was not truly redeemed. But in a turn of events it become clear that Dave Sullivan and James Cross were the same person the entire time.

Likely a result of Sullivan's rocky and traumatic life, he developed what appeared to be some form of dissociative identity disorder (More commonly known as multiple personality disorder). As a result of his psychotic struggles, Dave lost his X Championship to up and coming star Thomas Jordan, and slowly began to once again lose a grasp on his sanity. Meanwhile, Dave also strived to acquire a new contract, after only making a small $225,000 for the year. But in a last desperate hail mary attempt at salvation, Dave confronted all of his personalities on the eve of FWA's 14th annual Back in Business. At Back in Business, he faced Thomas Jordan for the third time in a tiebreaker match. He went on to defeat his foe, and win the X Division Championship for a record tying third time. Dave got his brand new contract, and the title...however there was a loophole in the contract. Once Dave Sullivan lost the title, his contract would be nullified. Dave Sullivan would go on to lose the championship three months later and was no longer employed by the FWA.

Pursuing new adventures, Dave Sullivan got a gig hosting FWA's new reality show "Ground Zero" on FWA Network. The show aired during the Summer of 2017. One stipulation of the show was that the host, Sullivan, would manage the winner in the FWA.
Ty Johnson went on to become the first winner of Ground Zero. Sullivan and Johnson grew close as Johnson entered his rookie year in the FWA. Sullivan mentored Johnson to a 4-1 start in the FWA, but things started to fall apart. Johnson's record went from 4-0 to 5-3, and Sullivan began to lose faith after one year. Right before Back in Business 2018, as Johnson was qualifying for the X Division championship, Sullivan betrayed his protegee.

In a new change of attitude, Dave Sullivan set up Ty Johnson to be arrested on drug charges. Sullivan went on to take Johnson's spot in the Back in Business fatal four way ladder match for the X Division championship. Sullivan believed, being one of the two only men to win the title 3 times, that he was entitled to become a four time champion. Dave went on to win the fatal four way ladder match, and he went on to become the only person to win the title four times.

Dave began calling himself "The King of the X-Division", believing his new self-acclaimed title was just. He had after all won it more times than anyone else. But soon King Sullivan realized he was bigger than just the X Division. He wanted to be known for more than just being the best of the lowest class. So he took his momentum, and he soared with it. He broke through his own glass ceiling, defeated the current FWA World Champion Cyrus Truth in a non titles match. He went on to battle for the North American Championship, and defeated Starr for the title at Quest for the Best (2019). With this victory, Dave Sullivan became one of few to hold two championships at the same time with the X Championship and for the first time ever his own North American Championship Reign.

Now he calls himself the Double Champ King. He broke through his own glass ceiling, and the cocky King is only going higher. Will he make it all the way to a world championship title reign, or will someone knock down the inflated ego of the King?

Re: "The King of the X-Division" Dave Sullivan

I've completely upgraded this page. I've added a link to Sullivan's real Twitter handle at the top, as well as his new endorsements at the bottom of the first post.

The next two posts are now:

    1. An archive of all of Sullivan's WC Era story arcs, as well as links to every promo I've written. Ones with asterisks indicate they're some of my personal favorites that I've written. Double asterisks indicate they're really one I enjoyed writing and reading.

    2. An archive of Sullivan's complete match history and the outcome, as well as a hyperlink to the show the match took place on. At the bottom is my WC era singles record, and frankly I'm just as surprised about it as you are. The match records are split by runs I've had before taking time off.

I really wanted to find something from pre WC. A promo, a bio, something. But everything from both PWS and the site we ran HWA on is lost.
