Big game for us Millers today (Rotherham). Facing our biggest local rivals, Sheffield Wednesday. We need a win to try and avoid getting sucked into the relegation zone. The Owls need a win to stop us leapfrogging them. Their fans all want Jos Luhukay gone, so they might take the defeat.

I see Teemu Pukki is doing well.

    Glad he's found his level.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

Gareth Barry had his best game ever for West Brom tonight. As well as his goal, he totally controlled the midfield in the 2nd half. It's remarkable he's still going at 37, Harvey Barnes who set up his goal was 6 months old when Barry debuted for Villa.

Big win tonight away at a promotion chasing rival. We were wank for the first 30 minutes, but then the goal changed everything for us. Norwich and Leeds are starting to pull away a little and will probably win their games this weekend, but unbeaten in six and a good run of games coming up I think we'll pull away ourselves from the chasing pack in the playoff spot.

The promotion race in the Championship is crazy, every gameweek seems to involve a crazy amount of late goals. Today Albion played rubbish, went down to 10 men but somehow pulled out a 95th minute equaliser and have gained ground on Leeds and Norwich who both lost at home. It's West Brom Vs Norwich 2 weeks today.

We've pretty much ended Villa's play off chances with that win. Get the fuck in! Gotta keep on winning if we want top two.

Nice win today, Ed. Especially away

The Championship has my attention more this year than in the past. Partly cuz I had a blackburn save on FM19 that I really enjoyed. Partly because its damned exciting

WBA have sacked Darren Moore. What a terrible decision especially at this stage of the season. They’ve missed out on automatic promotion but they’re 4th in the league. 7 points clear of 7th place. Moore would probably have got them back up to the PL at the first attempt via the play offs. Not too sure if they’ll go up now. Ed, what do you think of this decision?

I don’t watch the Championship, just follow results.
Norwich look certain to win promotion. I want Leeds and Sheffield Utd to go up automatically as they haven’t been in the PL for a very long time.

Modern football Club owners can only see the £££ in being a premier league side now, nothing else is good enough.

Moore's in his first job, and they don't even let him see it out even when we could of gone up through the play offs. Seems like the target for the season was automatic promotion or you're sacked, which is stupid when they haven't given him money to spend and he's out-performing the other relegated teams in Swansea and Stoke.

He wasn't perfect, there were tactical things about the team that I didn't like, but more often than not we'd still get results. Harvey Barnes going back to Leicester did mess us up because then our 4-3-3 formation wasn't as deadly. Home form is the killer, I don't think we've won at home at all in 2019 which is gonna mess you up when you're chasing promotion. Moore did a better job than any W/L record would suggest, he brought pride back to a team that had completely lost it under Pulis and Pardew. He's a club legend, and being sacked in the dressing room after 3 bad games is disgusting. He's too much of a gentleman for this ruthless era in management.

I hate our owner and CEO, and I hate modern football supporters for having no patience because there were a lot of boo's at FT today.

So, Tyson and Honeyman had been subbed off and were still sent off after a brawl on the sidelines and also in the 2nd half, Baldwin was carded after he kicked the ball back so we could take a quick throw, ref had a shocker

Got our revenge on Yeovil so the playoffs are still a possibility for us...not sure if it'll really happen though. In sadder news, Fraser Franks has called time on his career due to a detected heart condition. Glad they found it before something tragic happened. The club are doing some fundraising for him, including putting fans names on the third kit for next season.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

2 wins back to back have gotten us level with Barnsley in 2nd with 2 games in hand, if we can keep up some decent form then promotion should be ours.

Got a game Tuesday which should see us go back 2nd

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

Looking increasingly like Albion will have to play Villa in the play off semi finals unless Sheff Utd completely lose their heads and we sneak 3rd. I'd still rather take that then have them at Wembley I suppose.

We're the only club in the 4 divisions that has two players with 20+ goals to their name this season in Rodriguez and Gayle. Yet we're 9 points away from an automatic promotion position. Tells you where the problems have been this season. This team if properly organised should of gone straight back up.

lmao he used us to get a pay rise from Preston. Kinda glad it wasn't him as he's a bit of a hot head.

Jimmy Shan sorting out the home form, 1 win in 10 under Moore, now that's 4 from 4. Really gotta sort out that defence, it's a shambles.

I really really really hope this is the start of the GOAT collapse by Leeds.

Back up to 3rd, we really need to win all 4 of our final games for automatic promotion, don't think we'd win the playoffs
