Sanchez is awful and has been just about every game he's played for Man Utd.

That said, nobody in this Man Utd side is playing well and improving, so that could be a factor too.

That didn't take long did it?

I don't know what's worse. Playing three holding mids (and Pogba) against West Ham or conceding a goal in 5 minutes with three holding mids on the pitch.

What's worse is this is pretty much the same squad that finished 2nd last season yet they look clueless this season, and that can only be down to the manager. Yes Liverpool and Chelsea are greatly improved from last year and City are City...but something is seriously wrong at the moment. I've backed the appointments since Fergie's retirement and have never wanted to see a manager sacked until now.

A fresh approach is needed with a manager that will bring the players back together, and have the team playing well...It's now time for Ed Woodward to prove his worth as the American owners will not be taking this..especially as they're all about the money.

Mourinho would rather play McTominay at CB than Bailly to prove a point because he's a stubborn prick.

He's getting exactly what he deserves. And it's hilarious.

Jose can't stay after this. The team is toxic and there are clear problems with Jose and the players, not just Pogba.

Like Shock said, he is too stubborn and it's costing us games now. No way he turns it around.

This is becoming very similar to Mourinhos last season at Chelsea. Time to go.

Can't have him becoming a Wenger and holding on past his time. When Jose leaves, United need to get a manager that will be there longer term just to bring some stability back.

Lol you lot should be so lucky to have him pull a Wenger. Mourinho's prime is 2 seasons and no longer guarantees league titles. Wenger's was over a decade of pretty sustained success.

Another 3 points for Arsenal. Most definitely not the most convincing win, but we looked solid enough and once again, it was changes that Emery made which spurred us on. Iwobi and Welbeck are different players this season, particularly Iwobi. Holding was solid, and Leno made a brilliant save right after he came on.

This is a sore spot for a lot of Gooners. Its utterly ridiculous that the club learned absolutely nothing from the Walcott situation a few years ago, or the Sanchez-Ozil situation a year ago. The Ramsey situation is basically a holdover from Wenger's indecisiveness and mindfulness on spending, but the current management team isn't without blame either.

The latest story about it came out this week, saying that Ramsey's reps has agreed to an offer that was put on the table, but Arsenal then pulled it. Which presumably came from Emery.

I'm torn. I like Ramsey. Always have. Been with Arsenal forever. But he's not world class. He scored a ton the one season but has never replicated that. Gets hurt a lot. Doesn't really excel in a single area. He hasn't really stood out that much this season. So do we pay him 300-400K per week like Ozil? Do we hold out hope that he takes that step forward that he hasn't so far?

Maybe its just a byproduct of seeing favorites move on, and especially seeing Sanchez go and clearly decline, but the thought of us selling Ramsey in the winter window doesn't bother me much. Letting him leave for free next summer is pretty stupid and wasteful, especially when we are apparently in an austerity period.

Agree with that...if the management team don't want him you get rid in January so you don't see another playing leaving for Juve on a free!

Aaron Ramsey isn't a player worth being held at ransom for at those kind of figures and I think it would set a dangerous precedent for Emery. Sell in January imo.

Still purring over that Sturridge goal. That's the best goal in the league so far. I guess it's early to call it a title race, but so far it's great to see three strong teams at the top of the table all undefeated heading into October.

On the other hand Ramsey is a really good player who isn't going to be easily replaced. I don't think he should be getting Ozil money (though I don't think Ozil should be getting Ozil money either), but he's worth keeping even if it's at a cost.

I think Ramsey will go abroad in the summer for free.

Juve are being mentioned as a landing spot, for obvious reasons. He would fit in at a lot of places. And that's part of the fear. He lands at another Prem club and excels. Extra painful if its a free transfer. Most Gooners find the Van Persie situation the most traumatic of these that we've seen. Sanchez wasn't nearly as painful - just frustrating, and his performances for United for assuaged that a lot. But Ramsey is pretty loved and hasn't pulled a lot of antics like Alexis did to make fans more indifferent. Also been at the club for a decade.

In a way, it comes down to whether its worth keeping a talented player simply because they are a talented player. Plus the optics of losing another talented player. Tactically, its a bit like Pogba at United - a player who is pretty good at almost everything but is only really going to excel if used in the right ways. And with the current squad and manager, it doesn't seem like will be. He does best played centrally, allowed to get forward, and not asked to too much defensively. But we have Ozil up there, doing that. And Ramsey doesn't create to the same level. Shove Ozil out wide and he's less effective. Same with Ramsey. He doesn't really have the defensive instincts to play deeper - neither does Xhaka, obviously, but Xhaka's passing is pretty outstanding. So with this manager and this tactical approach, there isn't an obvious role for Ramsey.

Its absolutely true that if we do sell him in January, whatever get for him won't be enough to replace him. But we won't be looking to replace him. I'm not sure they would spend at all. My theory is that part of the thought process the club is taking with this apparent decision is that several of our best prospects are central mids - Joe Willock, Emile SmithRowe, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles. I doubt any of them end up as good as Ramsey at his best.... but we don't know if they aren't given the chance. Not to mention that Guendouzi can play a bit further up the pitch. We've long been a club that gave youth a chance, but that happened less and less under Wenger's last seasons.
