Damn. Didn't expect to be this torn so soon but here we are. Giving it to Dunne but I could have voted the other way and felt just as justified. Naito's a better promo imo but Dunne's been hotter.

Um, okay. I can remember two good matches fom Dunne in the past 12 months. Naito had a plethora of great matches and outshined Dunne in everyway. Easy choice for me

Throwing Naito some love since he's down right now. Honestly i would be happy to see both guys advance, shame one has to fall.

    It's an interesting one.

When I watch Dunne now I get the feeling of 'I'm not seeing enough' in his performances, like there's other gears he could be going up to take his matches to the next level because I don't think he's come anywhere close to equaling the match he had at Takeover Chicago last year. Then when I watch Naito I feel the opposite where he's doing too much in his matches and I wish he would scale it back some and wouldn't keep going down the road of having the NJPW main event epic formula of 3 finishers to win a match. What I think both have in common are they are two guys who haven't been as good this year as they were last year.

Naito/Omega, Naito/Tanahashi III, Naito/ZSJ and several Naito/Ishii matches are probably enough to see Naito through here.

Dunne might not have stacked his resume with stuff on the same level as the Takeover Chicago match but it’s not like he’s dropped off in terms of quality by an eye popping degree. If anything, consistency is key.

Naito has a great presence, no doubt. The wresting is a mixed bag. He just feels like every other NJ main eventer where things feel all over the place, having really exhausting matches, and every match (for the most part) just feels like a blur. Naito’s cool. Just not for me. Plus the Wrestlekingdom match was whatever and the Suzuki match sucked and I don’t see Dunne having duds like that.

Certainly more interested in Dragunov/Dunne coming up than Jericho/Naito.

I don't know what you guys are on about with Naito talking about how he does too much, to me his issue is he doesn't try hard enough the majority of the time. Just like I said in the last round look at his G1. Look at him vs Ibushi/Tana/Omega & him vs everyone else. It's a totally different performer. For the most part he's continued that sleepwalking trend in 2018 with the recent Suzuki match just being a legit bad match, largely because of him.

Dunne hasn't hit the highs Naito has & his lows are even worse with BSS. However I'm going the Rusev/Finn in that despite Naito's better match listing, Dunne brings more to the table as a pure wrestler in his big matches than Naito does, he's a better wrestler & in terms of what I don't like about both, BSS is just a philosophical difference in wrestling tastes, much like Omega. Naito's bad is due to a lack of effort which is much worse if we're being completely unbiased.

    I voted for Dunne.
