    WHERE WE ARE

Starting off the year 2001, Stephanie McMahon is in control of things and has been on a mission for respect. Her most recent show of power was whenever she would put The Rock and The Undertaker in a handicap match against Rikishi, William Regal, and Kane. With the likes of Kane and Rikishi on her side, Stephanie looks to be a powerful threat. Kurt Angle is our WWF Champion looking to find out who will be his opponent at the Royal Rumble. Stone Cold, The Rock, The Undertaker, Rikishi, and even Stephanie's husband Triple H are all are looking to get the look.

    WHERE WE ARE GOING

Reports are saying that this Monday on Raw, Vince McMahon will be live to speak on the Royal Rumble. We are expecting to hear great things on the New Year's edition of Raw on January 1st, 2001!

Also confirmed for the show, Intercontinental Champion Chris Beniot will be taking on the WWF Champion Kurt Angle to start off the new year in our main event!

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

    January 1st, 2001

Monday Night Raw would be kicked off by the theme music of Mr. McMahon as the crowd would erupt in boos for the chairman of the WWF. McMahon would strut out to the ring before taking the microphone from Lilian Garcia. McMahon would quickly silence the audience, or at least try, as he would announce that at the Royal Rumble, Kurt Angle will indeed be defending the WWF Championship against a person to be later determined. Heading on to tonight, McMahon would be able to announce that Stone Cold will be facing William Regal tonight in a single match. Vince looked to continue on to another announcement whenever he would be interrupted by the theme music of the WWF Champion Kurt Angle who came out to fight his cause. Saying that since he had to defend in last month’s six-man Hell in a Cell match, he shouldn’t have to defend his championship so early at the Royal Rumble. Angle was giving a pretty good debate for himself before he would be cut off by the theme music of his opponent tonight, the Intercontinental Champion, Chris Beniot! Beniot would enter the ring instantly putting his name down in title contention before Angle got in his face saying that he hadn’t proved himself yet to be in title contention. The two would go back and forth annoying the boss as Mr.McMahon would tell Beniot he wouldn’t be receiving a title shot at the Royal Rumble but if he would be able to come up with a victory in tonight’s Main Event, he would be the first person officially announced for the Royal Rumble match.

    -----------

    Singles Match
“The One” Billy Gunn versus Bull Buchanan

The night would get underway with a nice back and forth match between Right to Censor’s Bull Buchanan and “The One” Billy Gunn. Throughout the match, Bull would try to us his power to try and over power Billy looking to isolate him in the corner. The referee would step in between the two forcing Bull off for only a moment before he charged like an actual bull right at Gunn, Although, Billy was ready making the veteran move to get up a knee and nail Bull right across the skull! Bull hit the mat as Billy quickly went to go for the pin attempt. The referee wasn’t even able to get to the two count before Bull impressively kicked out. The two were looking to prove something here tonight as the two would continue to go back and forth. The match looked like it could go either way for the majority, but it looked like Bull’s power may give him the advantage! Bull had control until he would be nailed out of nowhere by a superkick! Billy would finish Bull off by hitting the Fameasser! Billy went for the cover to get the three count!

    Winner: “The One” Billy Gunn

    -----------

Raw would come back from a commercial break as the theme music of Stephanie McMahon would hit the arena disappointing a few that were expecting it to be Triple H. the crowd really let Stephanie hear it with boos as she would come out with her new personal guards Kane and Rikishi who had been doing her dirty work very recently. Stephanie would take to the ring focusing her promo on one individual being none other The Rock. Talking about how much disrespect that The Rock had shown her over her time in the WWF, she believes that it was time that The Rock would finally learn his lesson. Almost on cue, The Rock’s theme music would hit the arena as the crowd would erupt! The Rock came out onto the stage with a microphone in hand as he wasted no time ripping into Kane, Rikishi, and especially Stephanie. Not a bit amused, Stephanie would announce that she would be forcing The Rock to face both Kane and Rikishi tonight in a handicap match! The Rock still didn’t look to be worried as he looked to retaliate whenever Chris Jericho’s theme music would hit the arena! Jericho made his way out onto the stage to back up The Rock in his trash talk. Two of the best trash talkers aligned to target Stephanie McMahon who would then turn the match later into a tag team match with The Rock teaming with Chris Jericho now to face Kane and Rikishi.

    -----------

    WWF Hardcore Championship
    Raven © versus Steve Blackman

On to a little bit of hardcore action as the hardcore champion Raven looked to take on Steve Blackman. This match looked like it had the chance of getting out of control from looking on paper. The bell was sounded as Raven went right at Blackman only to be nailed with a big kick to the mid-section! Blackman would begin to go off as he would light up Raven with kicks and punches taking it too Raven. Raven would make the smart move as he would quickly get out of the ring as he would reach under the ring to pull a kendo stick out of under the ring. Raven would nail Blackman with the kendo stick and then things would begin to get out of control like most hardcore matches would eventually! Two of the most hardcore men in the company would go back and forth beating the living hell out of each other! The two would get to the point they both had chairs in their hands and would take each other out! Both men were out as suddenly none other than Al Snow came running down the ramp to a decent pop! Snow looked to take advantage of the distraction but would eventually be took out by Blackman. Right after, Raven would hit the Raven Effect DDT on Blackman for the win.

    Winner: Raven

    -----------

Hanging out backstage, Eddie Guerrero was seen getting ready for his upcoming match in The Radicalz locker room along with Perry Saturn and the Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko as they were trying to rally Guerrero on. Telling him that he had nothing to worry about when dealing with Tazz because he was a nobody. Although, taking Tazz as a joke was a bit of a joke in itself. Especially with Tazz being one of the most dangerous men in the company. Although, Eddie Guerrero played it off that he wasn’t worried about Tazz at all and had this match in the bag. Even though, Eddie would still ask for one of them to come out to ringside with him which Perry Saturn would step up to the plate to do so. Guerrero would hit fists with Dean Malenko before exiting the locker room with Saturn as Raw would cut to a commercial break as Jim Ross would plug the upcoming number one contender's match.

    -----------

    Singles Match
    Intercontinental Championship #1 Contendership

Eddie Guerrero w/ Perry Saturn versus Tazz

It was time to see who would get the first shot at the European Championship in 2001 as the leader of The Radicalz, Eddie Guerrero looked to face the submission specialist Tazz! Although, Eddie Guerrero may have the advantage in the form of Perry Saturn at ringside. The bell was sounded as the two men would lock things up to start off the match. Tazz would be able to wrestle down Guerrero to the ground before Eddie quickly got out. The two would pace around the ring for a moment before the two would lock things up once again. Tazz was able to get the upper hand once again as he was able to take down Guerrero. Eddie would quickly roll out of the ring to talk with Saturn at ringside. Tazz was having any of it going out after Guerrero but it was all just a trap! Guerrero was able to take control of the match tossing Tazz into the turnbuckle. The two went back and forth wanting to start off the new year with a huge win as they gave their all in this match. Tazz looked to be in control of the match as Perry Saturn looked to help his friend out jumping up on the apron. Tazz turned around to take out Perry Saturn but Eddie was up as Tazz turned right into a tornado DDT! Guerrero wasn’t done just yet as he went up top to hit the frog splash to get the victory!

    Winner: Eddie Guerrero

    -----------

Things were only getting more fired up as the theme music of The Undertaker would hit the arena! The crowd went wild in cheers as the sound of the engine of The Undertaker’s bike would echo throughout the arena. The Undertaker would come riding out as the crowd went wild. The Undertaker drove around the ring before stepping into his yard and being handed a microphone. The Undertaker would begin by declaring dominance over anybody who dared to step inside his ring. With that being said, The Undertaker would say he was sorry for stealing Chris Beniot’s thunder but he was taking this moment to announce himself for the Royal Rumble match this year. About that time, The Undertaker would be cut off as Test would dare to interrupt The American Badass. Test headed into the ring not showing any fear of The Undertaker as he would say that it was his time to shine. Test said that this was his yard now getting in Undertaker’s face. The two would come to blows as test would miss a Big Boot leading Undertaker to get the upper hand as Test quickly got out of the ring. Suddenly, a referee would come running out to announce that this was now an official match.

    -----------

    Singles Match
    The Undertaker versus Test

This was about to be a battle of the titans as these two now were colliding. Test was certainly brave looking to make a message through The Undertaker but that was also a terrible idea because The American Badass was nobody you wanted to mess with. The bell was officially sounded as The Undertaker would instantly go on the attack nailing Test with punches to the chest and sides just lighting him up as the crowd would erupt in cheers! The referee would try to get Undertaker to back up daring to get involved. Undertaker would back off a bit but he would go right back after Test. Although, Test was ready this time as Undertaker would turn right into a huge big boot by Test as a huge smirk would come across his face. Test would raise his arm to mock The Undertaker as the crowd erupted in boos but Test was looking impressive. Test turned to go after Undertaker who had sat up shaking his head at Test. Undertaker was back up going at it at Test as the two would go into a war! Test was looking very impressive by holding his own with The Undertaker but the question was could he actually beat him. The two had given their all in the match as Test went running for another Big Boot but Undertaker caught him with a chokeslam! Undertaker wasn’t finished as he pulled up Test for The Last Ride before going for the pin!

    Winner: The Undertaker

    -----------

Cutting to backstage, Jonathon Coachman is live for the first time tonight as he was standing backstage with the WWF Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian. Edge and Christian were in a great mood like usual looking to poke around and have fun with Coachman more than have a serious interview as Coach was trying to see how the two felt about facing Too Cool tonight. Edge and Christian had other plans in mind ignoring everything The Coach was saying. The two wouldn’t take anything seriously until Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley would suddenly appear to get in Edge and Christian’s faces. The Dudley’s would tell the champions to have much fun as they could while they could because soon enough their fun time would be over. They would proclaim that 2001 was going to be the year of The Dudleys and they would be taking their titles very soon.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
Edge and Christian © versus Too Cool (Scotty 2 Hotty and Grand Masta Sexay)

The team of Too Cool had a huge opportunity here tonight as they went up against the tag team champions Edge and Christian! The titles weren’t on the line but a big win here could do wonders for the two. The match would get under way as Scotty 2 Hotty and Edge would start the match off. The crowd were loud tonight as they would all rally behind Scotty as the bell was sounded. The two locked things up to start the match off as Edge was able to take control of the match in the early going before taking Scotty to the mat. Edge would get cocky as he would mock Scotty by doing his dance before pulling Scotty to his feet only to be nailed with a right hand! Scotty looked to fight back as the crowd rallied behind him to make the tag to Grand Masta Sexay! Too Cool were looking impressive to start things off but that would all change with a spear out of nowhere by Edge! The crowd would erupt in boos as both men were down and out in the ring! The referee would begin to count both men out as they fought to get tags as Edge tagged the fresh man Christian who was able to stop Sexay but took out the referee in the process. Things looked bad for Too Cool as suddenly The Dudleys would show up through the crowd! D-Von and Bubba snuck in the ring before nailing Christian with the huge 3-D! The crowd went wild as Grand Masta tagged in Scotty 2 Hotty as Christian was took out by The Dudleys as well. Scotty would finish off Edge with The Worm to a huge pop as he went for the pin as the referee slowly counted.

    Winners: Too Cool

    -----------

Stone Cold had made his way out to the ring as the crowd erupted in cheers for The Texas Rattlesnake who looked fired up for his upcoming match against William Regal. Although, the theme music of Stephanie McMahon would hit once again as she came out first to tell Stone Cold that there had been a change in plans for this match and now he would be having a handicap match. The crowd booed loudly as Austin only talked trash telling her to bring them on. The theme music of Triple h would hit once again but this time it was actually The Game himself! Triple H lead the way followed by William Regal revealing himself to be William’s partner in this match. Austin was begging to get his hands on Triple H, the man who tried to kill him literally. The show would cut to a commercial break at just the perfect time, *rolls eyes*, as Triple H and Regal headed towards the ring.

    -----------

    Handicap Match
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin versus William Regal and Triple H

Stone Cold was expecting this match to just be a one on one match against William Regal but now things were much worse for him as Triple H made his way into the match but of course, Stone Cold didn’t look to back down a bit as William Regal would start things off against Austin. The bell was sounded, and Stone Cold would quickly go right after William Regal taking him out of the ring with a huge clothesline as the crowd were going wild! Austin would then turn to the man who tried to taking him out, Triple H. Austin looked like a mad man as he motioned for Triple H to bring it on as the two would talk trash to each other. Finally, Triple H would make his way into the ring as the crowd would erupt in cheers as Stone Cold and Triple H would collide with the fists flying at each other! This was an all out fight and it looked like Stone Cold was getting the upper hand before William Regal was back in the ring taking out the knee of Austin! The crowd would now erupt in boos as Regal and Triple H would double team on Austin. The referee would try to get things back in control but Austin looked to take back control fight back against both men! The crowd rallied behind Austin trying to get The Texas Rattlesnake back into this match! Although, the numbers would catch up to Austin again before Triple H would be able to nail Austin with the Pedigree to get the pin!

Winners: William Regal and Triple H

    -----------

Cameras cut to backstage where we would see The Rock backstage doing warm up before his big match coming up next. The crowd would erupt in cheers at the sight of The Rock but they would only get even louder in their cheers as Chris Jericho was seen walking into the shot. The crowd went wild as The Rock and Chris Jericho would have a serious stare down for a moment before bursting into smiles and laughs as the two would shake hands. The Rock and Chris Jericho would go back and forth tell each other how they weren’t going to be friends but they had a lot of similarities from being two of the best in the ring and on the microphone. Even though, their biggest common bond was that they both despised Stephanie McMahon and wanted to make her life a living hell. The two looked to be on the same page as they would slap hands once again before heading out of the locker room leading to a quick commercial break before their match.

    -----------

    Tag Team Match
The Rock and Chris Jericho versus Kane and Rikishi

With Rikishi and Kane suddenly getting along well, things looked to be very dangerous around the WWF. Although, if words were able to fight, The Rock and Chris Jericho would have no challengers as they didn’t look to be afraid. Chris Jericho would start things off against Rikishi who had no expression on his face. The bell was sounded as Jericho gave his all going after Rikishi but the big man didn’t seem to be taking too much of the attack as damage. Rikishi was able to easily toss Jericho aside but Jericho refused to give up fighting as he kept going at Rikishi before finally being able to take down Rikishi with a huge dropkick! Jericho would quickly make the tag to The Rock to try and quickly continue on his work. The Rock was ready as Rikishi fought to his feet nailing him with right hands as the millions and millions cheered him on! The Rock was looking dominate at first before Rikishi was able to run him over “puns” before tagging in Kane. The match would continue going back and forth with the two bigger men trying to use their power to dominate the match but Jericho and The Rock had no quit in them and refused to give up in this match. Nearing the end of the match, the stamina was low as The Rock used everything he had left to take himself and Rikishi out of the ring! Inside of the ring, the Big Red Machine, Kane was on his feet as Chris Jericho would stagger around right into the chokeslam by Kane! Kane went for the pin as the referee would count the three count.

    Winners: Kane and Rikishi

    -----------

Backstage after the match, Jonathon Coachman is backstage with the Intercontinental Champion Chris Beniot. Coachman would ask Beniot how he was feeling about going into such a big match against the WWF Champion. Beniot would answer The Coach by telling him that the title didn’t mean anything different about Kurt Angle. Beniot would bring up some of their matches in the past to say that he was no stranger to Kurt Angle and certainly wasn’t afraid of him. Beniot would confirm that he would now become the second name announced for the Royal Rumble after The Undertaker put himself in the match earlier whenever the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship, Eddie Guerrero would walk up followed by Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn. Guerrero would try to get under Beniot’s skin telling him that he was the better leader of The Radicalz and that HE would beat Beniot to become the next WWF Intercontinental Champion. The two would get in each other’s face with Beniot not looking to be too afraid. Beniot pushed Guerrero aside acting unphased by him telling him that he had a real match and challenge up next.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
WWF Champion Kurt Angle versus Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit

It was time for the main event on the night as these two submission specialists looked to lock things up. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit were certainly no strangers to each other as the bell was sounded and the two would lock things up. Kurt Angle was quickly able to wrestle Benoit down to the mat but Benoit was just as quick in being able to get out of it and turning it back against Angle! The two were going back and forth battling for position as the crowd were going wild in cheers loving the fight they were witnessing. The two continued to go back and forth as Kurt Angle was even able to lock in the Ankle Lock on Benoit at one point! Benoit screamed in pain for only a moment before he was able to flip out of it and go on the attack! Benoit nailed Angle from behind before locking in the Crippler Crossface! The fans were going wild as Beniot wrenched it in, but Angle was able to fight over to the rope to break the hold! The crowd were still hot for this match as these two were fighting for more than just a win here tonight. These two simply wanted to be better than the other and they were damn sure going to try and find out who it was. The match would continue on with Benoit and Angle both giving their all to try and win this match, but they were running low on stamina! Benoit came running with a massive shoulder block but both men were down! Both men staggered to their feet as Angle would run into Benoit knocking him and the referee out. Angle was desperate for the win as he looked to hit Benoit with his title when… GLASS SHATTERS. The crowd erupted as out came Austin with one thing in mind as he would go right after Angle ducking the title to hit the Stone Cold Stunner! Angle was flattened as Austin pulled Benoit over Angle as the referee began to stir to make the three count.

    Winner: Chris Benoit

Stone Cold didn’t have much time to celebrate before Triple h came running down the ramp followed by William Regal, Rikishi, and Kane. Austin would quickly escape through the crowd as he would pause through the crowd to turn and give everybody the middle finger. Stone Cold had made a huge message as Raw would come to an end.

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

    January 4th, 2001

Smackdown would start off in a huge fashion as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would start off the show causing this crowd to go wild. Austin headed to the ring with middle fingers high as he would start off by telling everybody that he didn’t give a damn what the people in the back said because at the Royal Rumble, he will be the one to take on Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship. Quickly moving on to the next topic, Austin would touch on the subject of Triple H and his “bitch” of a wife, Stephanie McMahon. Austin would call out Triple H to have a fair one on one fight with him any place any time. Austin would then tell William Regal that his little weasel ass would be getting is in just time as well. Austin would be cut off by the theme music of Triple H as Austin would prepare himself for a fight as even the crowd would pop a bit. The crowd would quickly erupt in boos as they realized that it was only Stephanie McMahon instead of Triple H. Stephanie would tell Austin that if he wanted a championship shot that he was going to have to earn it like everybody else and she was a fair woman. She would make a match for tonight giving Austin the shot to show himself by facing Rikishi with Kane in his corner. The two men that Stephanie had brought together. Austin looked pleased with the news as Smackdown would take a commercial break.

    Singles Match
    Tazz versus Perry Saturn

Time to get the night underway in a big way as Tazz looked ready to get his hands-on Perry Saturn who he blamed for costing him a shot at the Intercontinental Championship! The bell was sounded as Tazz wasted no time going after Perry Saturn. Tazz quickly grabbed ahold of Saturn and took him to the ground. Saturn was smart to quickly get out of the ring to get away from Tazz trying to rethink his plan. Tazz wasn’t allowing Saturn any breathing time as he would go right out of the ring and after Saturn. Tazz grabbed hold of Saturn looking to irish whip him into the turnbuckle but Saturn was able to reverse the momentum as he would send Tazz head first into the steel turnbuckle! The crowd would boo as Saturn quickly got in the ring telling the referee to count faster. Although, Tazz was able to fight his way back into the ring and the match would continue. Perry Saturn tried to give his all against the wrestling machine, Tazz but that was no easy task. Nearing the final moments of this match, Tazz would be able to catch Saturn for a belly-to-belly suplex before locking Saturn in a choke hold. Saturn tried to fight it but eventually went out as the referee would call for the bell!

    Winner: Tazz

    -----------

Backstage, we would come to the shot of the WWF Champion Kurt Angle knocking on the office door of Vince McMahon. Entering in his office, Kurt Angle would still try to plead his case with Mr. McMahon to try and get out of his title match at the Royal Rumble. Once again, Mr. McMahon would tell Kurt that he was way too busy to be dealing with this stuff. He would remind Angle that he was the one who interrupted him this past week on Raw and that he still had very important announcements that had to be made. Vince would then proceed to kick Kurt Angle out of his office leaving Kurt to look dumbfounded from disbelief that Vice would treat him this way. Jim Ross and Paul Heyman would discuss what Mr. McMahon’s huge announcement could be as Smackdown went to a commercial break.

    -----------

Cameras cut to backstage where we see the Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit walking through the hall whenever he would be approached by the number one contender his championship and old friends Eddie Guerrero and the Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko. Eddie would start off the conversation by acting like they were still friends just looking to talk friendly as Eddie would announce he was now in the Royal Rumble. Benoit wasted no time in letting Guerrero know that he wasn’t a “radical” anymore and they also weren’t friends anymore. The two would quickly get hostile between each other as Saturn would get into it as well telling Benoit he was a nobody and that Eddie would take his title. Benoit would challenge Guerrero for tonight but Guerrero would bullshit his way out of the match. Malenko on the other hand didn’t have an excuse to not take a match with Benoit tonight. Malenko would talk a big game until Benoit would walk off then Malenko would ask Guerrero to be at ringside with him tonight with Guerrero would agree with.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
William Regal © versus “The One” Billy Gunn

In a big non-title match, “The One” Billy Gunn wanted to show the European Champion William Regal that he should be “The One” to get a shot at his championship as the bell was sounded. The two would lock things up as they began to try to out wrestle the other. Regal was able to quickly be able to wrestle Gunn to the ground. It was in no time that Billy was able to power back to his feet and slam Regal to the mat. The crowd was loudly getting behind Billy Gunn here tonight as he would continue his momentum with a series of clotheslines before he would yell out at the crowd. Gunn turned to go back after Regal but would be able to nail him with a right hand! The two would go back and forth as the crowd continued to try and rally behind Gunn. Nearing the end of the match, Billy Gunn looked to pick up the win as he went for the Fameasser but Regal was able to knock him out of the air and into the referee! Regal would reach into his trunks before pulling out a pair of knucks! Suddenly the crowd would erupt in cheers shocking Regal. Before Regal had a chance to know what was going on, Stone Cold had already struck with a Stunner before running away. Billy came too to make the pin on Regal as the referee counted the three!

    Winner: "The One" Billy Gunn

    -----------

Cameras would cut to backstage where Jonathon Coachman was standing by with Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley for an interview. Although, they wouldn’t even be able to get started before the WWF Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian would crash the interview. The champions would tell The Dudleyz that their little tactic this past Monday on Raw was “cute” but to remember that payback is a bitch. Going into a match against the same team that Edge and Christian faced, Bubba Ray didn’t look very afraid. They would tell the champions that unlike them they don’t care about their threats and to bring the fight on anytime. Edge would smirk as they scoffed and told The Dudleyz that they will bring the fight.

    -----------

    Tag Team Match
The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley) versus Too Cool (Scotty 2 Hotty & Grand Masta Sexay)

Too Cool was coming off a big victory on Raw thanks to The Dudley Boyz but now they would have to go against them tonight. The bell would be sounded as this match would be started off by Bubba Ray Dudley and Grand Masta Sexay. The two would meet in the center of the ring to begin a brawl as the fists would go flying! Bubba Ray would begin to get the upper hand by being the better of the two brawling. Bubba took Grand Masta down before making the tag to his partner D-Von as The Dudley Boyz would look to be completely dominate so far in this match as they would show impressive team work. Grand Masta Sexay was able to fight his way away from The Dudleyz long enough to be able to tag in Scotty 2 Hotty! Hotty was fired up as he leaped with a huge clothesline to Bubba Ray! The Too Cool fans were rallying behind him as he began to fill the momentum. Scotty would set up for The Worm but near the end, he would get a taste of his own medicine as Bubba Ray would almost behead Scotty! Bubba Ray would go to make the tag in to D-Von as they would work together to finish off Scotty 2 Hotty as they would hit him with the 3-D! D-Von went for the cover as the referee would count the three count.

    Winners: The Dudley Boyz

The Dudley Boyz had no time to celebrate as Bubba Ray would turn right into a devastating spear by Edge! D-Von looked to attack but Christian would nail him from behind. The tag team champions would work together to take out Bubba and D-Von Dudley. The two weren't done just yet as they would grab two chairs looking to do terrible damage to one of The Dudleyz. They picked out Bubba Ray whenever the them music of The Hardy Boyz would hit the arena! In a bit of a surprising move, Jeff and Matt Hardy would come running out to make the safe for The Dudley Boyz as Edge and Christian would retreat.

    -----------

Backstage, Jonathon Coachman was back again to give it another shot as he was now standing by with Intercontinental Champion Chris Beniot. Coachman would ask Benoit how he was feeling overall with all of his big news this week from being announced for the Royal Rumble to finding out that he will defend his championship against old friend Eddie Guerrero. Benoit would tell Coach that one word had been on his mind lately and that was success. He said as much of a clique thing it was he was being driven to be the best that he could possibly be. That is why he was going to go into the Royal Rumble and eliminate 29 other men to get a Wrestlemania title shot. And when it comes to the likes of Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko. They were just road blocks in his way of bigger things for all that he cares. He said tonight will be a easy win against Malenko and then all that is left if Guerrero since he had already defeated the WWF Champion.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
Chris Benoit © versus Dean Malenko © w/ Eddie Guerrero

Whenever they came into the WWF, these guys were the best of friends but now it was time for them to go to war as the Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit would go against old Radical friend and Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko. The bell would be sounded as the two would lock things up as Malenko looked to try and wrestle Benoit to the ground but Benoit was able to take Malenko down instead. These two were two of the top technical wrestlers in the business and that was going to be on display in this match as they were already putting on a great wrestling match although it looked like Chris Benoit was going to take control with a huge suplex! Benoit looked fired up as Eddie Guerrero would make his first appearance in the match as he would jump up on the apron to distract Benoit. Benoit would knock Guerrero off of the apron but it would give Malenko time to roll up Benoit to try and still the win. Benoit was just able to kick out as the two would continue to go back and forth. In the end, it would be Guerrero’s interference that would decide the match as Guerrero distracted Benoit in order for Malenko to still the win as he rolled up Benoit once again this time using Beniot’s tights for leverage.

    Winner: Dean Malenko

    -----------

Back on Smackdown, the theme music of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H would hit the arena but only Stephanie would make her way out to the ring being rained down on with boos all the way. Stephanie would call out The Rock and Chris Jericho who the crowd would cheer loudly for. Stephanie would tell the two that since they both wanted to be a team so bad that she was going to give them what they wanted for once. She was going to allow them to team all that they wanted actually. She would then announce that coming up next was going to be The Rock teaming up with Chris Jericho to take on the gauntlet as they would fight through a series of teams until Stephanie thought they had had enough. The Rock and Jericho didn't back down a bit not allowing Stephanie to get under their skin as they would both go against her on the microphone ripping her into verbal shreds before Smackdown would cut to a commercial break leaving The Rock and Chris Jericho with only a small bit of time to prepare for their match.

    -----------

    Gauntlet Tag Team Match
The Rock and Chris Jericho versus Lo Down then Kaientai then Right To Censor

This match was promising to be long and full of action as The Rock and Chris Jericho were ready for this big match. The first team out was Chaz and D’Lo Brown of Lo Down. The match was started with The Rock against his old Nation of Domination partner D’Lo Brown. D’Lo and Chaz would put up a fight but The Rock and Chris Jericho were too much for Lo Down to beat as Chris Jericho would hit the Lionsault before tagging in The Rock to hit The People’s Elbow on D’Lo to finish off the first team. The second team wasted no time making their way to the ring as Taka and Funaki of Kaientai came running out. Like Lo Down before them, they would give their all showing an impressive opening push against Jericho but with a tag to The Rock, things would all change for them. The Rock would hit The Rock Bottom on Funaki for the pin. Chris Jericho would enter the ring to high five the Rock as they awaited their next team. The crowd would erupt in boo’s as the obnoxious theme music of the Right To Censor would hit an out came walking all four members of the group, Steven Richards The Goodfather, Bull Buchanan, and Val Venis. Goodfather entered the ring first against The Rock as the match would continue. The Rock and Chris Jericho were looking great out their tonight taking it too all four members of the RTC but the numbers came would finally catch up to Rock and Jericho whenever a fifth member, Ivory would show up to distract The Rock. Taking all five members of the Right To Censor to do so, The Goodfather was able to pin The Rock for the win.

    Winners: Right To Censor

    -----------

Cameras cut to backstage were we come to the alarming sight of Rikishi and Kane in each other’s face looking ready for a fight between each other instead of preparing for Rikishi’s match against Stone Cold. In on the conversation, Rikishi would start off by telling Kane that if he wanted to say or do something then do it. Kane would threaten Rikishi back by telling him that for his own safety that he shouldn’t be saying things like that. Rikishi would tell Kane that he wasn’t afraid of him and would beat his ass at any time. Kane would let out a diabolic laugh as it looked like these two partners were about to brawl whenever Too Cool came into the scene approaching Rikishi. Things went south very quickly as Rikishi wasn’t cool with these two believing they could still just approach him and looked to teach them a lesson. This would be enough to bring Kane and Rikishi back on the same side to be the hell out of Scotty 2 Hotty and Grand Masta Sexay backstage as Smackdown went to a commercial break.

    -----------

    Singles Match
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin versus Rikishi w/ Kane

This was the match that everybody had been waiting for tonight as Stone Cold Steve Austin looked ready for a fight and he didn’t care if Kane would get in the ring with Rikishi, he would fight anything that moved at this moment. The bell was sounded and of course, Austin wasted no time before going right after Rikishi with the fists flying. Austin was able to quickly back the bigger man into the corner before Rikishi would get a burst of anger driven adrenaline as he would burst out of the corner running over Austin, not in a car this time. The crowd would erupt in boos as Rikishi would talk trash back at them. Rikishi powered Austin back to his feet but Austin retaliated with a series of right hands as the two would begin an all out brawl! These two clearly didn’t like each other as this match would continue on with these two going back and forth in an absolute fight! These two went in and out of the ring just beating the ever-living hell out of each other. Surprisingly, Kane stayed his distance the entire time allowing Rikishi to handle his business. Nearing the end of the match and things looked bad for Rikishi, Kane would finally look to get involved. Kane jumped up on the apron as suddenly, “Dead Man Walking” was heard throughout the arena. The crowd erupted as “Rollin” began to play and Undertaker came flying down to the ring on his bike. The Undertaker would step up on the apron to stare across the ring from his brother as Rikishi staggered up to his feet. Undertaker and Kane would enter the ring to stand beside Rikishi and Austin respectively as the crowd were going wild already by as the four would collide the place erupted! Things were out of control as the referee had no choice but to call for the bell.

    Winner: No Contest

Things were still out of control as Undertaker and Kane fought things out. Steve Austin and Rikishi fought up the ramp and off to the back. Kane and Undertaker fought back towards the announce table as Undertaker was able to get the best of his brother Kane to be able to lift him for The Last Ride and plant him through the announce table! Just as Undertaker had time to finish the move, he was nailed out of nowhere with a beheading Big Boot by Test! The Undertaker was planted as Smackdown would end with an interesting sight of Test holding his arm high over both The Undertaker and Kane before pointing towards the Royal Rumble poster announcing his entry.

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

Love this time period so I was always going to get in here at some point and leave some feedback. I read Raw before this but since you’ve now posted Smackdown, I’ll leave some feedback on that show instead. This was almost as standard as a segment can get in terms of wrestling, wrestler comes out, runs his mouth, gets booked in a match so this was all very solid stuff. Austin mentioning that he still wants the WWF Championship before touching on Regal and Triple H was smart. I completely expect you to hold off on HHH/Austin until WrestleMania. Stephanie making Austin face Rikishi tonight in a sort of punishment is fine, however I am curious about the Kane/Rikishi pairing. Is this something you have just added in this BTB? I can’t remember them being together in real life. Either way, anytime Austin and a McMahon are involved it’s a fun way to start the show.

Makes sense to book Tazz and Saturn one on one after what happened on Raw. Surprised none of The Radicalz was around here, but I guess that shows where Saturn is in the pecking order. If not, would have been nice for some sort of explanation. Still, Tazz is the bigger name and needed revenge after Raw so the right man went over. On a personal note, Tazz wasn’t completely ruined at this stage so please push this man. You seem to be off to a good start.

Seems really strange that Vince would be treating Kurt this bad. I’m not really sure what the reasoning behind it. I mean, I get McMahon being annoyed that he got interrupted, but just in general, these guys are two heels, it just seems weird that an ass kissing heel like Angle is at such odds with the boss. I’ll be watching this situation with interest to see how it progresses.

I hope this battle between the Radicalz, both former and current lasts for ages because Benoit and those three guys going at it would make repeated good matches. It seems pretty obvious that Benoit/Guerrero is the big time match out of this, so it makes sense to give away Benoit/Malenko on TV. Good segment here.

A well booked match here really. Regal needs a challenger for his European Championship and now he has one, yet Austin still managed to get his revenge.

Edge and Christian and Dudleyz segment was great, building some tension for tonight’s match. The fact that you have booked them against the same team that E&C fought on Raw makes it even better. The match was fine enough and at first when The Dudleyz won without any interference I was a little surprised, but the attack afterwards evened things up. Hardy Boys making the save before things could go too far shows that this awesome three team feud still has some settling to do. A good start, tag scene should be sensational for awhile yet.

Benoit’s interview before the match would have been okay if he wasn’t wrestling an old friend, but it just felt way too generic. I think something about being former friends with Malenko should have been in here.

I was shocked with the result here as Malenko beats Benoit after Benoit got such a HUGE rub on Raw. I figured Benoit would just walk through the Radicalz until it was time to face Guerrero. I don’t necessarily have a problem with the result; it just wasn’t what I expected. It seems the same spot of Guerrero interference leading to a Malenko win failed and the worked. Maybe the spots should have been a little different to not make Benoit look dumb enough to fall for the same thing twice.

Stephanie hating on Rock and Jericho is to be expected as is her putting them through hell by booking them in a gauntlet. Good stuff. I wish Rock and Jericho ripping into her in the microphone was written in more detail, it would be so much fun.

Kane and Rikishi are apparently fighting for no reason? And then they attack Too Cool, who has wanted nothing to do with Rikishi since running over Austin? This segment didn’t make much sense to me, not sure why it was here. It doesn’t feel like it added anything noteworthy other than just time filler before the main event.

Austin/Rikishi would have been an okay enough main event I guess, and Kane and Taker getting involved would have increased interest. The ending was fine, keeping everybody looking strong, then we get the big table spot and Test takes out Undertaker. Fun stuff to end the show.

A solid enough start to things here. They are going okay, matches booked are solid, segments seem fine. I think these times really stood out because of the actions of wrestlers in segments, and due to the brief recaps, the characteristics of guys like Austin, Rock, Taker, Jericho and Angle aren’t being captured that well. That would be my biggest piece of feedback, there isn’t necessarily anything wrong, but every promo sounds like it could be said by anybody. Work on that and things will be much better in here. Good luck.

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

    January 8th, 2001
Raw was ready to get underway as the crowd were already hyped up but would only get louder. Jim Ross was telling about Mr. McMahon would have an announcement to make to close the show as the theme music of The Undertaker would start off the show. The Undertaker would come riding out on his motorcycle as he would roar around the arena before coming to a park. The Undertaker would take to the ring as he would cut right to the point as he would say that he had a big problem to take care of, so he was ready to get down to business as he would call out Test for a fight. The Undertaker wouldn’t get Test but instead, the theme music of Stone Cold would hit the arena as the crowd erupted in cheers. Stone Cold stormed down to the ring as he would tell The Undertaker that he didn’t mean any disrespect but they both had some business to intend to, so if he didn’t mind he was going to join him in the fun as he would turn to the ramp calling out Triple H to get his ass out to the ring. The crowd would erupt in cheers as the theme music of Triple H hit the arena and Austin readied himself for a brawl. The crowd would erupt in boos as Stephanie McMahon would come out alone. Stephanie would say she would grant both men’s wish and give them even more since she was such a giving person. She would then make the match of The Undertaker and Stone Cold versus Triple H, Test, and William Regal later that night!

    -----------

    Singles Match
    Tazz versus Albert

The night would get underway with a big match between two very different sized men as the tall Albert set to take on the much smaller Tazz. Although, Tazz was still fired up from last week and may look to make Albert just another victim as the bell was sounded. The two would start off the match with the fists flying between the two of them as the crowd would rally fully behind Tazz as he fought the big man back into the turnbuckle. Tazz looked to set up Al bert for a huge suplex but he wasn’t able to pull the move off as Albert would nail him with a massive elbow as the big man fought his way back into this match in a big way as he began to throw his power around as much as he could but the technical game of Tazz was a big equalizer as the match would continue. The momentum would go back and forth with the match looking like it could go either way at multiple times throughout it. Nearing the end of the match, Albert looked to finish off Tazz with his massive powerbomb but Tazz was able to get out of the way before leaping on the back of Albert to lock in a chokehold! The crowd would erupt in cheers as Tazz would sync the move in forcing the big man down! Albert tried to fight the hold being able to get back to his feet but would quickly fall back down as Tazz held the move in. The referee was finally forced to call the match off as Albert wouldn’t respond to his three count.

    Winner: Tazz

After the match had concluded, Tazz would grab a microphone to declare his name as an entrant in the 2001 Royal Rumble match whever every man in his path will be just another victim!

    -----------

In the finest of all drinking establishments and protection services, Faarooq and Bradshaw were in their office whenever Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn with Terri would come just walking in the room rudely by not knocking on the door. Bradshaw would quickly get onto them for just bursting into the room. Malenko didn’t think that it was a big deal and played it off like it wasn’t one as he would continue to push his own issue as he would ask them how much they would charge them to take out Chris Benoit. They weren’t doing a great job at negotiating as the A.P.A looked and were pissed as they would tell of the two Radicalz challenging the two to take things to the ring to settle things or they could just go ahead and settle things right here right now. The Radicalz would agree to a match as the A.P.A said they would meet them in the ring before kicking all three of them out of their office before Raw would go to a commercial break.

    -----------

    Tag Team Match

Dean Malenko © and Perry Saturn w/ Terri Runnels versus A.P.A (Faarooq and Bradshaw)

We had a big tag team match coming up next as two Radicalz looked to take on the tough Faarooq and Bradshaw of the A.P.A! The match would get underway with Perry Saturn and Bradshaw starting things off as the crowd were clearly cheering one side of this match as Bradshaw set out of the gate like a wild buck right after Saturn. Bradshaw was lighting things up to start off the match as he would pause for a loud ovation from the crowd but that would cost him as it gave Terri long enough time to get up on the apron trying to distract Bradshaw but Bradshaw only told her to get lost but that slight distraction was enough for Saturn to nail Bradshaw in the mid-section before tagging in Dean Malenko! Malenko and Saturn would try to isolate Bradshaw away from his partner as the two would begin to make quick tags in and out beating down Bradshaw in their corner. Although, the crowd and his partner would fire up Bradshaw to make the tag to Faarooq who would change the field coming in running and taking out everything that moved until Terri was able to trip him up allowing The Radicalz to get back in this match. Terri looked to be the deciding factor of this match but Chris Benoit would come running out to even the odds distracting Perry Saturn allowing Bradshaw to nail him with the Clothesline From Hell! Bradshaw went for the pin to get the win as Benoit had a big toothless smile on his face as Dean Malenko looked in shock.

    Winners:
    A.P.A

    -----------

Camera cut to backstage where we see the WWF Women’s Champion Ivory walking backstage with his nose held high as he walked by looking disgusted by everything that she was seeing. Ivory would continue on her path as she would see Lita in front of her with her signature look going on as the crowd would erupt in cheers. Ivory, on the other hand, was looking like she was about to get sick as she was shaking her head in disapproval. Ivory would storm up to Lita and began to rip into her about her self-respect and how much of a disgrace she was being to herself and her gender. Lita wasn’t the type to just take this and lay down as she would snap back telling Ivory off for being a stuck-up bitch. Ivory and Lita would go back and forth until Ivory would blindside Lita with her championship! Ivory would jump on Lita until suddenly Chyna would show up! The fans almost blew the roof off the place as Ivory looked up like she had seen a ghost as she would run off frightened as Chyna would check on Lita helping her up to her feet.

    -----------

Raw would come back on the air as theme music of Chris Jericho would hit the arena and the crowd would erupt in cheers! Jericho would start on the microphone wasting no time in cutting into Stephanie McMahon but soon enough, the theme music of The Rock would hit the arena and the crowd would erupt in cheers once again as Chris Jericho was so irritated he even looked bothered that The Rock was even interrupting him. The Rock would tell Jericho that he wasn’t fighting this battle alone and that he had just as many issues with Stephanie McMahon as the next person as he would tell Stephanie to come on out because he knew she was going to come out and run her mouth soon enough anyways. Stephanie would indeed make her way out to the stage being very confident as she would say that she was sick of their confidence and was determined to break the both of them down. She would then book The Rock to face Kane then she would focus on punishing Chris Jericho as she would say since he wanted to cause so many issues that he will be in the Main Event tonight against Rikishi! Jericho looked ready for a fight until Stephanie would add that it will be NO DQ and The Rock is banned from ringside.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
Ivory © w/ Right To Censor versus Lita w/ Chyna

The women’s champion may have gotten herself into a big problem as now thanks to her actions earlier she had to deal with this match. Now, Lita was angry and also had a huge ally in her corner but Ivory had went out to get her some problem solvers as she held up her finger to pause the match. Her fellow members of the Right To Censor would come out to help out the champion as the bell would be sounded and this match would get officially underway. Lita and ivory would lock things up as Lita would be able to quickly get the upperhand but Ivory would quickly get out of the ring to refresh using the Right To Censor to protect her. This would be a pattern throughout the match until finally, Chyna would get tired of the champion’s antics and confront the RTC. She would be confronted by the big Goodfather who she would easily lay out which would intimidate the others but big Bull would step up only to get dropped as well and Steven and Val were not interested. Ivory was in control of the match but she would turn to see the mess at ringside in shock as she would shout at Val and Steven to get her but they refused. Ivory screamed before turning right into a huge Twist of Fate by Lita! Lita went for the pin as the referee counted the three count!

    Winner: Lita

    -----------

Backstage for his upcoming match, Eddie Guerrero would be backstage with Dean Malenko joining Jonathon Coachman for an interview. Coachman would ask Eddie how he was feeling after becoming the new number one contender. Being Eddie Guerrero, Guerrero would oversell himself as he played it out like he was the happiest that he had ever been in his entire life. He would go on to say he felt great because 2001 was his year to shine since he would beat that poco nada Chris Beniot to become the Intercontinental Champion and win the Royal Rumble to later become the WWF Champion proclaiming this year to be the year of Guerrero. Suddenly, the day of Guerrero would be ruined as Chris Benoit walked into the shot and the crowd would go wild in cheers! The two former Radicals would get into it verbally bantering back and forth before Benoit would get in Guerrero’s face ready to fight. Guerrero would pretty much sacrifice Malenko as he ran away leaving Benoit to lock the crossface on Malenko! Malenko would tap out but Benoit wasn’t breaking the hold until officials forced him as Guerrero watched on in horror.

    -----------

    Singles Match
“The One” Billy Gunn versus Eddie Guerrero

Another big singles match was about to get underway as Eddie Guerrero wan on his own now after Dean Malenko was taken out by Chris Benoit prior to this match. The bell would be sounded as Gunn and Guerrero would start of the match by locking things up as Gunn looked to lock Guerrero in a headlock but Guerrero was able to get out of the move and twist the arm of Gunn behind his back. Gunn would use his free arm to nail Guerrero with a couple of elbow shots to back Billy off of him. They were off to a very even start as the two would lock things up once again battling for position as Guerrero was really beginning to wish that one of his fellow Radical members were out here with him to help him out but he was determined to get the job done. The match would continue as the two would go back and forth in an awesome match that had the crowd on the edge of their seats! There were many die hard Guerrero fans in the crowd but the majority of the crowd was rallying behind Billy Gunn as this match was growing close to the end! Billy Gunn was fired up from the crowd as he nailed Guerrero with a dropkick and now was ready to finish him off with the Fameasser! Gunn went for it, but Guerrero was able to catch him for a cutter! Guerrero would head to the top rope looking to hit the frog splash to finish off this match! Suddenly, Chris Benoit’s music would hit distracting Guerrero but he would never show but it was long enough for Gunn to be able to get up his knees for Guerrero to collide in. Gunn quickly ran against the ropes for momentum before hitting the Fameasser on Guerrero to go for the pin and get the win!

    Winner: “The One” Billy Gunn

    -----------

Backstage before their big tag team match against the tag team champions, Jeff and Matt Hardy were walking backstage whenever they would walk into Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley as the crowd would cheer loudly. The Hardy’s were expecting them to thank them for their actions last week and saving them on Smackdown. Instead, The Dudleyz would do the exact opposite by telling The Hardy’s to stay out of their business and that they didn’t need their help. The Hardy’s would retaliate back by telling them that they weren’t looking like they didn’t need their help whenever they were being picked apart by Edge and Christian. Things looked like they were going to come to action between these two teams right here, but Matt Hardy would remind his brother that that had a match against the champions to worry about. The Dudleyz would continue to try get underneath The Hardy’s skin as the crowd had turned on The Dudleyz booing them loudly as Matt and Jeff would head off.

    -----------

    Non-Title Tag Team Match
Edge & Christian © versus The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt Hardy)

We had a big tag team match coming up next as the tag team champions Edge and Christian looked to take on the tough team of Jeff and Matt Hardy. The match would get underway with Edge and Jeff Hardy in the ring as the bell would be sounded to get this match underway. The two would start things off by locking things up as Edge looked to try and back Jeff into the corner but Jeff was able to toss Edge off of him before making the tag to his brother Matt. The two brothers would work together for a moment to get the momentum going in their favor as the crowd were solely behind them here tonight cheering on Matt! The Hardy’s looked to be in great position in this match until Christian would distract the referee long enough for Edge to low blow Matt Hardy in order to get the tag to the fresh man Christian. Christian came running in the ring quickly taking Jeff Hardy off the apron before trying to pin Matt Hardy but couldn’t get the job done. Christian would look to pull Matt to his feet, but Matt would fight his way back into this match! Both of these teams were fighting for more than just a win here tonight as these two teams would go back and forth tagging in and out of the ring. This match could have went either way but in the end, it wouldn’t even matter whenever Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley came running out to the ring attacking everybody in sight as the referee would be forced to call for the bell as The Dudleys would hit the 3D on Edge!

    Winners: No Contest

    -----------

Backstage it was time to have a classic interview as Jonathon Coachmen looked to try and interview The Rock, but things seemed to never seem to end up going well for The Coach in these situations when The Rock was involved. Coach would start off by asking The Rock about how his year was starting and his recent run ins with Stephanie McMahon and company. The Rock would turn the interview around on Coachman as he would begin to ask Coach the same questions that he had just asked him about how his year was going. The Rock looked for The Coach to answer but once Coach finally would speak up, The Rock would hit him with a classic it doesn’t matter how your year is going line. The Rock would then begin to finally get into the question that he was asked. He would say that he was no stranger to the McMahon’s trying to put obstacles in his path by this point in his career. They have failed in the past and they are going to fail again in his chase to become the WWF Champion if you can smell what The Rock is cooking. Eyebrow raised, and the Rock would walk off for his next match.

    -----------

    Singles Match
    The Rock versus Kane

We had huge singles match coming up next as the Big Red Machine, Kane looked to go one-on-one with The Great One, The Rock! The bell would be sounded as The Rock wasted no time in taking the fight right to Kane attacking him with a series of right hands before Kane was able to back him up with a huge uppercut! The brawl would go back and forth until it looked like Kane was getting the upperhand as he would ram his knee into the mid-section of The Rock before following up with an irish whip sending him into the turnbuckle! Kane looked to run into the corner for a huge big boot but The Rock was able to move out of harms way forcing Kane to crash into the turnbuckle! The Rock would sneak up behind of Kane as he would look to try and steal the win with a roll up but Kane was able to kick out! These two men were showcasing why they were two of the top talents in all of the WWF as the two would continue to fight back and forth putting on a hell of a show for the crowd that was watching on the edge of their seats chanting on The Rock! The match looked like it could have gone either way for the majority of the match with both men getting in some very close calls but in the end, the match would be settled whenever Kane would turn right around into a massive Rock Bottom from The Rock who would then go for the pin to get a huge win!

    Winner: The Rock

    -----------

Cameras cut to backstage where Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were standing around with William Regal discussing their upcoming match whenever the third member of their team, Test would walk into the room. Test would make things clear quickly that he wasn’t looking to make friends with anybody as he would clash heads with Triple H whenever Test would say hey to “his ex” Stephanie McMahon looking her up and down. Triple H would get pissed off quickly and get in the face of Test as it looked like these two weren’t even going to be able to stay on the same page to get to the match. Stephanie would get in between the two to try and make them both calm down and focus on the upcoming match that really mattered. The two finally agreed as Test would make one more smartellic comment before they would all walk off. This was a new side of test we were seeing but it wasn’t a bad one at all.

    -----------

    2-on-3 Handicap Tag Team Match
The Undertaker & “Stone Cold” Steve Austin versus Triple H, William Regal, & Test

The reign of terror that Stephanie McMahon was on continued here as The Undertaker and Stone Cold would face Triple H, William Regal, and Test. The match would get underway as test would start off the match after a small altercation with his own teammate, Triple H against The Undertaker who wanted nothing more than to tear into Test. The bell was sounded as the two would begin a brawl that The Undertaker was able to quickly get the upperhand in. To start off the match, the numbers may be against Austin and Undertaker but you wouldn’t be able to tell as they were being able to hold their own against the three men individually. It was a different story whenever they would decide to quit playing by the rules and would begin to find any way to try and double team their opponents. Even then, The Undertaker and Stone Cold were giving their challengers one hell of a challenger and Triple H and Test having trouble getting along wasn’t helping matters out. Nearing the end of the match, Test finally had enough and left right whenever Triple H needed a tag and would tag in William Regal which led The Undertaker to leave after Test. Now Austin versus Triple H and William Regal, Austin was able to hit the stunner on Regal during the distraction to get the pin before Triple H could even realize what was going on.

Winners: The Undertaker and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

    -----------

Backstage we come to the locker room of Chris Jericho before his big match against Rikishi as the crowd were already cheering loudly when they erupted even louder whenever The Rock would be seen walking into the locker room. The two would greet with a fist bump as The Rock would wish Jericho luck since he wouldn’t be able to be out there to have his back tonight. Jericho said he knew that Stephanie had something up her sleeve like usual but if they thought he was afraid of Rikishi then they were very wrong. The Rock agreed with him but would also let him know that he would be watching from backstage and if things start going sour then he was going to be out there to have his back no matter what the rules said. Jericho would thank The Rock as the two would fist bump as the two had seemed to actually finally bond as Jericho headed off for his match. Just as Jericho exited the shot, The Rock would be suddenly hit from behind by Kane, who was looking to get a bit of revenge for his lose earlier against The Rock! The two would set off in a brawl but The Rock would eventually be able to put Kane through a table backstage!

    -----------

    No DQ Match
    “The Rock Banned From Ringside”

    Chris Jericho versus Rikishi

It was time for a huge main event as Chris Jericho had a huge challenge ahead of him in the form of Rikishi in a No DQ match. He knew that he wouldn’t have The Rock to have his back here tonight but now thanks to The Rock, he shouldn’t have to deal with Kane in this match. With that being said, you never knew what to expect when dealing with Stephanie McMahon. The bell would be sounded to get this match underway as things would start off exactly how one would expect it too as Jericho tried to take down the bigger man Rikishi but Rikishi was no selling all of Jericho’s moves just staring him down and shaking his head. Jericho knew that he may be in trouble but he also remembered that this was a No DQ match as he would mock Rikishi giving him an arrogant laugh before he would step up and kick Rikishi under the belt to a huge pop from the crowd and you could be reassured that Rikishi certainly felt that one. The rules were out of the window and now it was actually Rikishi that is looking to be in trouble as Chris Jericho would grab a kendo stick from out from under the ring. Jericho began to light up Rikishi with the kendo stick! The fans were going wild as Jericho would shout out to them as suddenly, Kane’s theme music hit the arena! The crowd erupted in boos as a pissed off Kane came storming down the ramp. Jericho prepared for a fight but Kane stopped in his tracks as Rikishi was up to his feet. Jericho would turn around right into the Samoan Driver! Rikishi went for the pin for the win as the crowd erupted in boos.

    Winner: Rikishi

Rikishi had won the match but he wasn’t done yet as Kane entered the ring to join Rikishi in the beat down. Kane reached down to pick up Jericho whenever “If You Smell!” the crowd went wild as The Rock came flying down the ramp to make the save for Jericho as he would fire away at Kane before running with a big clothesline taking him out of the ring. The Rock would then turn to Big Kish who wasn’t baking down telling The Rock to bring it on. The two were about to brawl whenever Chris Jericho would nail Rikishi with the kendo stick before a series of them into The Rock Bottom! Jericho and The Rock would stand tall as raw cut a commercial break before Mr. McMahon’s big announcement.

    -----------

The show would be finished off by Vince McMahon as the chairman of the WWF would make his way out to the ring. Vince would tell the fans that he does have a very major announcement to make but it was going to have to wait until the Royal Rumble for him to be able to tie up all of the loose ends. The crowd would boo a bit wanting an announcement, but Vince would stop them to announce they were going to get an announcement and the crowd turned to cheers. McMahon announced that next week on Raw they would find out who will face Kurt Angle at the Royal Rumble whenever Stone Cold, Triple H, Rikishi, The Rock, Chris Jericho, and Kane face off in a six-man elimination match. Vince would then be able to get out one more statement as he would officially make a match for the Royal Rumble pitting The Dudley Boyz versus The Hardy Boyz for a shot at tag team titles before suddenly, Kurt Angle would cut off Mr. McMahon again as he headed out to the ring to argue with McMahon’s decision. Vince would finally snap on Angle telling him that he wasn’t getting the rumble off. Angle continued to plea until suddenly the theme music of Chris Benoit would hit the arena. Benoit came out to confront Angle but it would come back against him as it turned into him being jumped by The Radicalz ending with Angle hitting the Angle Slam into a Frog Splash by Eddie Guerrero. Raw would close by Angle staring down The Radicalz raising the WWF Championship as Guerrero would demand the Intercontinental Championship to step up and hold it up to Angle to close Raw.

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

    January 11th, 2001

Smackdown would start off the night with the usual pyroand the fans were going wild while Michael Cole was welcoming everybody to the show whenever the theme music of the boss, Mr. McMahon would fill the arena! The crowd would loudly erupt in a mix of cheers and boos as McMahon would do his signature walk down to the ring. He would grab the microphone to start off by making some more big Royal Rumble announcements as he would announce the official entry of the two men that will be facing off to start off the night here tonight, “The One” Billy Gunn and the WWF European Champion William Regal. Moving onto bigger news regarding tonight, Mr. McMahon would also announce that tonight in the main event we will have a huge six-man tag team match containing the six men who will fight this Monday to become the number one contender for the WWF Championship whenever the team of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, and Chris Jericho take on the team of Triple H, Rikishi, and Kane! Mr. McMahon would leave the crowd going wild as the commentators would hype up tonight’s huge main event as Smackdown would cut to a commercial break.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
William Regal © versus “The One” Billy Gunn

To get the night started, we have a rematch from last week as the European Champion William Regal looked to get some redemption for his loss. The match would get underway as Regal would lock things up with Gunn before kneeing him in the mid-section to take him down and lock him in a quick headlock. Gunn wasn’t going down that easy as he powered to his feet fighting back by pushing Regal off of him and into the ropes. Regal would come back off the rebound from the ropes into a big dropkick by Billy Gunn. Billy would try to go for the pin but he hadn’t done hardly enough work to get the job done yet as Regal was able to quickly kick out. Regal would look for any underhanded move that he could to find the way to win this match just like he had won every other match he had won but Billy Gunn had got his number once before, thanks to Stone Cold, but he might be able to do it again. The two would continue to battle back and forth as they would both give their all in this match but if it was a battle of heart the Billy had this one. Nearing the ending of the match, William Regal was taking his sweet time to get to his feet as Billy was waiting for the Fameasser. Regal would stumble up to his feet as Billy went running in looking to hit his finisher, but Regal was ready and would turn and nail Billy in midair with a massive right hand. Regal would quickly hide something in his trunks before going for the pin.

    Winner: William Regal

    -----------

Backstage after the match, we would come to the shot of a very disgruntled WWF Champion as Kurt Angle went storming backstage. The live crowd were booing the champion loudly as he would make his way to Mr. McMahon’s office. Instead of knocking, Kurt would just barge right into Vince’s office which was a huge mistake. Vince was on the phone and looked like the devil in person as he stared at Angle who was surprisingly not backing down from him. Vince would tell the person he was on the phone with he would call them back before Kurt would start off on Vince about how he has been treated and how unfairly he was being treated as a champion. Kurt would accuse Vince of not caring about his talent among things. Whenever he was finished, he had really earned what would come next. Vince would begin to rip back into Angle asking him just who in the hell he thought he was. Vince would yell at Angle before punishing him by telling him that he was now going to be forced to defend the WWF Championship tonight! The live crowd went wild as Kurt would change his attitude now trying to kiss Vince’s ass, but Vince would only snob him and announce that he will be defending against The Undertaker!

    -----------

    WWF Hardcore Championship
    Raven © versus Al Snow

It was time for a good old Hardcore Championship match as Raven looked to hold onto his championship as he had a big challenge tonight in the form of Al Snow. The bell was sounded as these two ECW alumni weren't afraid to go right out of the ring and go straight after a weapon to introduce to this match right off the bat. Speaking of bats, Raven would grab one before shaking his head and pulling a kendo stick out from under the ring as Al Snow would have the same idea in mind as he rolled into the ring with a kendo stick of his own. Things had then escalated from being a wrestling match to just basically being a sword fight at this point as the kendo sticks would go flying at each other! These two had absolutely no problem to take the word hardcore to the very limit as the kendo stick was only the first weapon of the rest to come as the match would continue on as chairs and belts and anything these two could get their hands on was going to be used as a weapon. They were both putting up a huge fight for the title here in this one but in the end, only one man was going to be able to walk away with the win here tonight! Al Snow went running at Raven with a steel chair in hand looking to take him out but Raven was prepared for his attack as he would nail him with a kick to the mid-section forcing him to drop the chair. Raven would then quickly hit him with the Raven Effect DDT right onto the title as he went for the pin to get the three count!

    Winner: Raven

    -----------

Coming up next, Test had a big match going up the tough Bradshaw of the A.P.A but it looked like Test had some things to get off his chest as he would ask for a microphone before his match. Test would target one obvious man and that was The Undertaker who he hadn’t been seeing eye-to-eye with to say the least with lately. Test would say that with all due respect to Mr. McMahon, but it was a joke that The Undertaker was just given a title match out of the blue tonight whenever he did nothing to deserve it and that he guaranteed that everybody in the back would agree with them if they had a brain in their head. The crowd would loudly pop as the theme music of Bradshaw would cut off Test as the big man came storming down to the ring not looking pleased with Test. Bradshaw would tell Test off for talking down The Undertaker and would begin to explain the years that Undertaker had put into the business to deserve a match like this. Test would then try to cheap shot Bradshaw that was able to dodge. Bradshaw looked to go for the Clothesline From Hell but Test would roll out of the ring as a commercial would play before this match would officially get underway.

    -----------

    Singles Match
    Test versus Bradshaw

We had a huge match up next in the terms of size of the men in it as Test and Bradshaw looked to go at it in what was expected to be nothing less than an all-out brawl. The bell would be sounded and that was exactly what we would get as Test and Bradshaw would collide in the center of the ring with the fists flying all over the place as the crowd would erupt in cheers rooting behind Bradshaw hoping that he might be able to shut up Test’s mouth for The Undertaker. Bradshaw would prove to be a good match for Test as these two would continue to push the limits of each other and of the referee who would keep having to get in between the two of them to keep this from getting out of control but dealing with these two fighters with so much intensity in their fighting style that was sometimes easier said than done. Both men would give their all looking to out brawl and power each other more than out wrestle each other. By the time that the match was nearing a end, both men were completely exhausted exchanging lethal but slow right hands in the center of the ring like they were fighting for the very will to live. The crowd would try to rally behind Bradshaw to give him an extra push as he looked to come alive against Test! With the extra push from the fans, Bradshaw staggered Test before running against the ropes to gather momentum for the Clothesline From Hell but he would come running right into a huge Big Boot from Test as he would make the cover to get the three count!

    Winner: Test

    -----------

Cameras would cut to backstage were the cameras would cut to the locker room of the WWF Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit as the crowd would erupt in cheers. Benoit was just finished getting prepared for his upcoming tag match whenever his tag team partner tonight, Tazz would make his way into the locker room to another decent pop from the crowd. Tazz said he knew it wasn’t any of his business and he didn’t give a damn about the details to be honest, but he didn’t like those radical punks either. In famous Tazz fashion, he would have to add his own sly remark about it being a good thing that Benoit left the group as a underhanded threat. The two would have a “friendly” back and forth exchange as you could see that the two would be able to work as a team tonight but if that title was ever on the line, it would be a different story. Benoit wouldn’t have to worry about getting a knife in the back because Tazz would be latched on it. The two would eventually sake smiles and shake hands before exiting together as Smackdown went to a commercial break.

    -----------

Back from the commercial break, we were with Benoit and Tazz’s opponents tonight, Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko. With Perry Saturn of course, The Radicalz all together and looking confident even after a bumpy Raw last Monday. Kevin Kelly was tasked with the job of trying and interview all three of these well radicals. He was able to finally get Eddie Guerrero’s attention who would tell him that there was no reason for him to interview them because they have already said all that they have to say. Kevin Kelly would try to reason with Eddie to just give them any new content, but Guerrero just shook his head no allowing him to get a word in. Suddenly, Dean Malenko would whisper in Guerrero’s ear remembering there is news after all. Guerrero would then announce that Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn would now officially be joining him in the Royal Rumble match. Guerrero would then end the interview by mocking Kelly to be a better interviewer and quit making the guest do all of the work.

    -----------

    Tag Team Match
Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko © versus Chris Benoit © & Tazz

The crowd were highly anticipating this huge tag match as the champions in each team would look to start off this match as the Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko and the Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit would lock things up as the bell was officially sounded. These two were very knowledgeable on each other and were fresh off a match against each other as they would go back and forth to start things off with a series of reversals. The two would pause to stare each other down as the crowd would cheer both men loudly for the impressive showing they were giving. The two would lock things up once again as this time, Benoit was able to get the upper hand as he wrestled Malenko to the ground. Benoit looked to be in full control as he locked Malenko in a headlock but Malenko was smart enough to think with his feet as he would kick at Benoit to get free from him as he would quickly lunge for the tag to Eddie Guerrero who didn’t really look like he wanted the tag but would lock things up with Benoit anyways. Guerrero would hold his own with Benoit but would use underhanded tactics to do so as the two would go back and forth but not for too long before tagging in and out. Tazz would set off like a cannon once he was in the match and looked to single handily win the match if he had too. Tazz and Benoit looked to win before Perry Saturn would come running out to distract Benoit and Tazz long enough for the legal man to roll up the legal man Benoit and grab the tights to steal the huge win for Guerrero!

Winners: Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko

The Radicalz would quickly get out of there after stealing the win as Chris Benoit was irate and for good reason. Eddie Guerrero had stolen a major win over the champion and he certainly wasn't afraid to brag. Now a safe distance away, The Radicalz were acting like they had just won the superbowl.

    -----------

Backstage, Kurt Angle was backstage with Kevin Kiley for an interview before his huge match against The Undertaker. Kevin would start off his interview with the typical but boring question as he asked Kurt how he was feeling. Surprisingly, Kurt wasn’t actually whining about being treated badly or even having to defend his championship. Kurt would go on about how he thought that putting all his trust in the “right” people was the right thing to do but he was wrong. He admitted that he had been expecting everything to just be handed to him lately ever since he become such a huge name in the business. Now, with The Undertaker right in front of him tonight ready to take his title away, he refused to lose it. he was suddenly seeing the truth in the reality of everything that was really going on around him. He would reach out to the fans saying that with the fans he can take down even the biggest of bad asses. Oh, it’s true, it’s damn true!

    -----------

    WWF Championship Match
Kurt Angle © versus The Undertaker

This match was the last thing the fans were expecting whenever they got here tonight but now it was a treat for them tonight as Kurt Angle and The Undertaker looked to go one on one! Kurt Angle was looking ready for a fight which was a bit of a shock as the bell was sounded and Angle would make the first move trying to grabble Undertaker to be able to set the pace of the match to stay away from Undertaker’s brawling style. Angle was set out to try and simply out wrestle The Undertaker in order to get the job done but that was also easier said than done as The Undertaker fought his way back against Angle. Angle’s wrestling versus The Undertaker’s brawling collided harshly and looked to dictate the pace of this match and whoever will be able to take control of this match. Both of these two guys were fighting with everything they had in them in this big of a match. The ultimate prize was on the line in this one and it looked like this match could still go either way! Angle was looking impressive as the champion was able to hold his own against Undertaker gaining a louder cheer than usual giving his all against The Undertaker. Nearing the end of the match, everybody was down after a failed Undertaker aerial move that took out Angle as planned but made himself collide with the referee. The Undertaker would fight to his feet as he would signal for the end. The crowd would suddenly erupt in boos as The Undertaker would turn around to see what was going on as Test would drill The Undertaker with a big boot! Kurt Angle began to stir as he would crawl to cover The Undertaker as the referee slowly counted the three count.

    Winner: Kurt Angle

The crowd had a very loud but mixed reaction as they didn't want to boo Angle but they sure booed Test. Test had a huge cocky grin on his face as he would back up the ramp proud of his work. I wonder if he is still going to be so proud whenever The Undertaker actually gets his hands on him.

    -----------

Cameras would be rolling backstage whenever “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would be seen walking towards the ring for the Main Event to a loud ovation. Austin didn’t get too far before he would walk into his long time rival but partner tonight, The Rock as the crowd cheered loudly again. The two would start things off friendly trying to play things off like they had become pals now. Then, the two would start hitting each other with underhanded words as Austin would love to rub the Wrestlemania victory in as much as he could. It wasn’t long before the natural instinct for these two to fight each other had settled in as Stone Cold ripped into The Rock buy telling him something about a mudhole and walking it dry. The Rock would only taunt him by putting up his hand to tell him to “Just Bring It”. Luckily, Chris Jericho would show up before his partners took each other out to be able to save the day reminding the two they had to team tonight and to beat the hell out of each other Monday.

    -----------

    Six-Man Tag Team Match
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, and Chris Jericho versus Triple H, Rikishi, and Kane

It was time for the huge main event of the night as these two teams looked to battle things out as long as in the case of The Rock and Stone Cold don’t start fighting themselves first. The two would bicker about who would start the match off against Rikishi who had been selected for the other team. Eventually, Austin would get the nod to start the match off against Rikishi as the bell was sounded. Stone Cold would start off the match going to town on the bigger Rikishi with right hands but Rikishi wasn’t going to back down from Austin as he would stand his ground firing back at Austin as the two would go off in a brawl as the crowd would cheer loudly to show their appreciation. Austin and Rikishi would just to continue to try to out “tough” the other as eventually, they would both take each other out with matching clotheslines as they would crawl to make the tag to one of their partners as The Rock and Triple H would come running into the ring. Triple H would throw the punch, but The Rock would block it and fire back with a series of his own! The fans rallied behind The Rock but Triple H would catch him with a knee before tagging out to Kane double teaming The Rock. It looked like the heels had full control of this match but you never can doubt the fans as they rallied behind The Rock to fight his way back to tag in Jericho! Everybody in this match would give their all showing what to expect this Monday out of them whenever the number one contenders spot would be on the line. Nearing the end of the match, Stone Cold had the match in full control before The Rock would tag himself in before hitting The Rock Bottom on Rikishi to get the win!

Winners: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, and Chris Jericho

Stone Cold would just glare at The Rock as he would begin his celebration as the winner. Austin would just shake his head at him as he would join The Rock and Chris Jericho in celebrating as their opponenets would slip away defeated. It looked like Smackdown was going to go off the air smoothly before Stone Cold would nail The Rock with a sudden but deadly, Stone Cold Stunner! Austin would then slip out of the ring giving the bird to Jericho as Smackdown went off air with Austin making a powerful message.

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

    January 15th, 2001

The last Monday Night Raw before the Royal Rumble was just kicking off as Jim Ross and Paul Heyman would greet us to the show. They would be cut off as the theme music of Triple H would hit the arena as the crowd erupted in boos. Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon would make their way down to the ring in order to tell the fans that this was going to be Triple H’s night to become the number one contender for the WWF Championship whenever he would be interrupted by the theme music of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as the crowd erupted in cheers for The Texas Rattlesnake who came down to the ring not afraid to get in Triple H’s face as the two would instantly start jumping down each other’s throats trying to punk the other one out. Stone Cold would push Triple H’s button by starting up “What?!” chants to everything he was saying. The two looked like they were just about to come to blows whenever the arena would burst into flames for a moment as out came Kane and Rikishi right on cue to come back up Triple H and Stephanie. Things looked like they were about to get very back for Austin whenever the theme music of The Rock hit the arena and the crowd went wild once more! The Rock and Chris Jericho came running down to help out Stone Cold as the battle lines were drawn but tonight it was going to be every man for himself. Stephanie would call off Triple H and company saying to save it to the end of the night as they left out leaving The Rock and Stone Cold to get in each other’s faces as Raw would cut to the first commercial break of the night.

    -----------

    Tag Team Match
Right To Censor (The Goodfather and Val Venis w/ Steven Richards) versus Road Dogg and K-Kwik

We were getting the night started tonight with a huge tag team match as the Right To Censor’s The Goodfather and Val Venis were out here with Steven Richards tonight looking to go up against the team of Road Dogg and K-Kwik. The Goodfather and Road Dogg would look to start the match as the two would start the match off by brawling instead of locking things up. The bigger man Goodfather looked to take control but Road Dogg was able to get the upper hand loading up Goodfather with a series of punches as the crowd cheered him on. Road Dogg and K-Kwik looked impressive as a tag team as they had Goodfather where they wanted him in the time being. Although, with Steven Richards at ringside, the Right To Censor members were able to fight back into this match using every underhanded tactic in the book to do so. Val Venis would get the tag into the match as the match would continue with Road Dogg and K-Kwik trying to fight their way back into this match but with Richards playing an important part at ringside, this match felt like a handicap match for them instead of a tag team match. They gave their all to try to pick up the win but it looked almost impossible to do so. Nearing the end of the match, Steven Richards would distract the referee long enough for Val Venis and The Goodfather to double team K-Kwik. Val Venis would take care of Road Dogg to make sure he was out of the picture while The Goodfather would finish off K-Kwik by hitting the “Good Drop” before covering K-Kwik for the three count.

We come to backstage where Jonathon Coachman is here for the first time here tonight with “The One” Billy Gunn who was going into a huge contendership match that was coming up just next! The Coach asked Billy how he was feeling going into the match and how much the match would mean to face William Regal again for the championship. Billy said that this match really meant everything to him at this current point in his career. He said that he had been fighting long and hard to get to the top and he was still climbing that ladder. The next step was William Regal who Gunn would credit as a big challenge and a tough competitor inside of the ring like his challengers tonight. He would accredit his heart to being what made him stand out among the rest and be the reason that he would get to his goals. With his heart and the support of the fans, you were going to be looking at the next WWE European Champion because he truly was “The One” Billy Gunn.

    -----------

    Triple Threat Match
Number One Contender Match for the WWF European Championship

    “The One”
Billy Gunn versus Hardcore Holly versus Perry Saturn w/ Terri Runnels

We have another big match as the WWF European Championship contendership was on the line in this match as three of WWF’s mid-card talents looked to get a chance at the gold! The bell was sounded as the three men would pace around the ring at first staring each other down waiting for one of them to make the first move as Perry Saturn would make the first move as he went after “The One” Billy Gunn. Hardcore Holly would then jump into the fight as well on the side of Billy Gunn as he would attack Perry Saturn and we were officially off in this match! Holly and Gunn working together were easily able to take out Perry Saturn and kick him out of the ring for the meantime but he had Terri Runnels by his side so he was going to be fine. Billy and Holly would then turn to fight each other as the locked things up with the crowd mixed but mainly behind “The One” Billy Gunn! The two went back and forth until Perry Saturn was able finally able to get back in the ring and when he did, he did in a big way as he ran over Holly and Gunn with two massive clotheslines. Perry looked to be fired up but Gunn and Holly would come together to go against him for the moment before of course, Holly had to attack Gunn from behind and then all three were all just brawling widely as the referee was having trouble keeping control of everything. All three of these guys were all determined to get that title shot but only one man could get it. Terri Runnels jumped up on the apron to distract Hardcore Holly as Perry Saturn would hit him from behind. Saturn thought he had stolen the victory before Billy Gunn hit him out of nowhere with the Fameasser! Billy went for the cover on Saturn for the three count.

    Winner: “The One” Billy Gunn

    -----------

Cameras cut to backstage where we see “The American Badass” The Undertaker standing around backstage shooting the shit with some of the boys among the crew backstage. The Undertaker was just standing with his back to the parking lot whenever the crew members he was talking to would scream at him to look out pointing behind which was enough to save him as Test would come running from out of nowhere trying to big boot The Undertaker from behind! The Undertaker went on the attack nailing Test with punches to the face and mid-section as Test looked to try and get away from Undertaker, but he had brought this all upon himself and The Undertaker wasn’t going to let him get away. That would turn back to bite The Undertaker whenever Test was able to get ahold of a lead pipe and use it to take out Undertaker’s knee completely changing the momentum. Test would rip into Undertaker with the lead pipe before waiting for him to struggle up to his feet even using a wall to do so before finally hitting him with a huge Big Boot! The Undertaker was out as Test smirked wide proud of the work he had done.

    -----------

    Singles Match
    Chyna versus Tori

This match was about to get underway as Chyna looked to continue her recent dominance of the women roster. Chyna had shown to be dominate but Tori didn’t look afraid. Tori was a tough fighter and wouldn’t back down as the bell was sounded and Tori went right after Chyna with the punches and kicks flying trying to catch her off guard but Chyna was able to show Tori off of her and flying across the ring at the same time. Tori looked at Chyna with big wide eyes now as she had to be wondering what in the hell that she could possible do to take out Chyna. Chyna had been dominate against the men and women in the WWF and looked to be one of the most dominate threats in the business but Tori wasn’t going to back down. Tori came running at Chyna once again unleashing a fury on Chyna even being able to back her up into the turnbuckle. Tori looked to come running at Chyna in the corner looking to hit a flying crossbody but Chyna was able to catch Tori in mid-air and slam her down into the mat with a massive spinebuster! Chyna was expecting to hear the fans erupt in cheers for her but instead, she was shocked to hear the fans booing. Before she was able to realize what was going on, the Women’s Champion Ivory would come running from behind nailing Chyna with her championship belt across the back of the skull! The referee was forced to call for the bell disqualifying Tori on the interference of Ivory.

    Winner: Chyna

The bell continued to ring but Ivory was relentless on her attack. Tori looked to get involved to help out Chyna but ivory waved her off explaining the threat that Chyna was and why they needed to get rid of her. Ivory was actually able to convince Tori to help her double team Chyna who was still no easy woman to double team but they two had done the damage. The crowd were booing loudly until Lita would come running out to save Chyna clearing the ring.

    -----------

Backstage before his upcoming singles match against Eddie Guerrero, Tazz is seen in the locker room backstage about to go out for his match before the WWF Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit would come walking into the locker room to a huge pop from the crowd. Benoit said that he knew that Tazz was the type of guy that liked to take care of business by himself but he would go ahead and offer to come out their tonight to be in his corner. Tazz would thank Benoit for his help saying that they were too many to keep his eyes on all alone. The two would joke back and forth before heading out of the locker room and towards the ring for the big matchup next as Jim Ross would his job selling the match to everybody as he talked us into the commercial break.

    -----------

    Singles Match
Eddie Guerrero w/ The Radicalz versus Tazz w/ Chris Benoit

This match looked to be an awesome match between two of WWF’s top talents as Eddie Guerrero and Tazz looked to go “one-on-one” but with the others at ringside, it was hardly an actual singles match. Guerrero had Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn both by his side as Tazz only had the Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit in his corner. The match would start off going rather smoothly with Guerrero and Tazz locking things up and going back in forth in a traditional wrestling match just going back and forth trying to battle for position. Although, it didn’t take long for things to get interesting whenever Tazz would begin to get in control of the match and Guerrero’s Radical stablemates looked to start helping him out. Saturn was the first to distract the referee as Malenko would grab the leg of Tazz to try and distract him. Chris Benoit came running around the ring as he would nail Malenko with a huge hammerfist. Benoit fought back Malenko but he had done his job as Guerrero looked to be in control in the ring! The referee really would have his hands full with this match as Benoit was in a brawl outside of the ring with Saturn and Malenko as he had to officiate the match in the ring which was going back and forth. Benoit was able to take out Perry Saturn tossing him into the steel steps before h was taken out by Malenko’s Light Heavyweight Championship! Malenko would toss Guerrero his belt before distracting the referee allowing Eddie to hit Tazz with the belt. Guerrero would then go to the top rope to hit the Frog Splash before covering Tazz for the three count!

    Winner: Eddie Guerrero

This was about to be a lot of fun as we cut to backstage where Jonathon Coachman was standing by with the tag team champions, Edge and Christian. The champs looked to be in great moods tonight as they had smiles on their faces and were both laughing and having a good time. Coachman tried to get the guys to have a normal interview, but you would think by now that The Coach would know that ordinary interviews weren’t normal around here. Edge and Christian would tell Coach that their upcoming match watch totally bogus. It was wrong that they had to team with The Dudleyz they totally don’t reek of awesomeness. They said they would just have to deal with having terrible partners for tonight because they would help them get rid of The Hardy Boyz at least. Then they can go after The Dudleyz and take them out as well. Edge and Christian would nod their head and high five each other before heading off towards the ring for their match.

    -----------

    Eight-Man Tag Team Match
The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and A.P.A (Faarooq and Bradshaw) versus Edge and Christian © and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley)

This match was going to be full of action given simply the amount of talent that is in this match as The Hardy Boyz look to team with the A.P.A to face the team of The Dudley Boyz and the WWF Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian. They were certainly two oddball teams but at least, it looked like The Hardyz and the A.P.A might be able to work together better than their challengers tonight. The match would get started with the big and tough Bradshaw versus another big tough guy in Bubba Ray Dudley as the brawl would begin! The two would exchange blows as they went back and forth before almost out of just instinct, they would make the tag to their specific partner and not a member of the other team on their team, confusing right. D-Von and Farooq were now the two powerful legal men that were trying to out power the other before they would meet in the middle in a big way as they would crash into each other with massive clotheslines! They would then crawl to make the tag as finally the other team got involved for their teams in the former of Jeff Hardy and Christian who came running into the ring! Once the Hardyz and the champs got in the ring, the pace began to quicken as all eight men in this match were fighting with a purpose here tonight and all wanted to win as they were all going back and forth and leaving it all in the ring tonight all just for that win! Well, at least it seemed, everything would suddenly change whenever The Dudleyz would suddenly turn and hit Edge with the 3D! The Dudleyz left the ring as Jeff Hardy went high for the Swantom Bomb on Edge to finish him off for the win for their team.

Winners: A.P.A and The Hardy Boyz

    -----------

Cameras cut to backstage where we see the WWF European Champion William Regal looking ready to do an interview with Jonathon Coachman before his upcoming match. Coachman barely even had time to get his interview started with Regal before he would suddenly have more interesting things to attend to as he would see Billy Gunn walking by him. Regal would come up to approach Billy acting all friendly with a smile on his face that Billy was already not buying. Regal would congratulate Billy on his big win earlier in the night as he would tell him that he was looking forward to facing him once again for the gold as he extended his hand. Billy would just scoff at Regal before sarcastically agreeing with him and shaking his head. Billy would then make a huge mistake as he would break the first and major rule that you never break and turned his back on his rival. William Regal grabbed in his trunks and grabbed out a pair of brass knuckles as he ran up and nailed Gunn in the back as he instantly went out cold as he well head first against the ground! Regal began to look freaked out as he went running off as he heard a worker yell “Oh My God!”. The worker came running over screaming for help.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
    William Regal © versus X-Pac

The title wasn’t on the line but this would still be a huge victory for X-Pac if he was able to pick up the win over the champion, William Regal who was getting booed louder than ever before after the nasty attack that he did backstage on Billy Gunn as Jim Ross would confirm that Billy Gunn has been rushed to a medical facility nearby. This match would officially get underway as the two men would lock things up the get us started. William Regal had done such a great job as a heel to make the fans hate him so much that the fans were even chanting and cheering on for X-Pac in this match. X-Pac didn’t even know what to think but he sure did try to milk it in fight back against Regal! X-Pac was able to take out Regal with a huge spinning kick as the crowd popped. X-Pac was loving the fans cheering him on as he would allow it to get to his head whenever he should have been focusing on the match as he would pose for his fans. He went to go back to work on Regal but he had given him too much time to recover as Regal was ready for him with a huge right hand! Both of these men were giving there all in this match as Regal seemed to have a lot of frustration as X-Pac was looking to get a huge win and was fueling off of the fans to try and win this match, but both of these men were surely running out of gas late in this match. Nearing the end of the match, X-Pac looked to pick up a huge upset victory over Regal as he slowly looked to hit the X-Factor but Regal was able to move out of harms way. Regal nailed X-Pac with a huge right hand with brass knucks on his hand that the referee never seen Regal made the pin as the crowd booed as loud as they could.

    Winner: William Regal

    -----------

William Regal had picked up an impressive victory as cameras would cut to the backstage area where we would see the WWF Champion Kurt Angle getting prepared for his upcoming match against Test as in a surprise, the fans would actually begin to cheer at the sight of Angle. Kurt would push to his feet before grabbing his championship and beginning to head towards the ring for his match whenever he would walk into Mr. McMahon who had a great big smile on his face. McMahon would say that he was glad to see Kurt because he finally had time to talk to him about whatever he was making such a big deal about. Kurt would just chuckle at Vince as he would finally stand up to Vince by mocking him as he would say that he didn’t have time to talk at the moment because he had a match to go and win. Kurt would then storm off from Vince as the crowd cheered on Angle. Vince stared at Kurt in disbelief as he walked away before a diabolic smirk came across his face as Raw cut to a commercial break.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
    Kurt Angle © versus Test

We had seen a big change in Kurt Angle lately and the fans were certainly showing their appreciation for the changes as they cheer him on as he looked to go up against Test who had done a great job recently at really making the fans hate him more than ever before. The bell was sounded as Angle looked to try to start off the match by locking things up but Test wasn’t sure he wanted to lock up with Angle. The two would lock up but Test quickly would shock Angle with a right hand and began to back up Angle into the corner before irish whipping him across the ring into the turnbuckle across the ring! Angle flew across the ring and went crashing into the turnbuckle and hit the mat from the momentum. Test would taunt to the crowd getting rained down on boos but he had to be feeling good about himself in control of the WWF Champion. A big win here could do wonders for his career as he went to pick Angle back up to his feet but Angle would fight back with elbows fighting back against the big man Test! Angle and test would continue to go back and forth as the crowd would rally behind the champion Angle who was taking everything that Test had to throw at him and that was certainly a lot. Test was no walk in the park and used anything in the book to his advantage to make him even more of a threat. This match looked like it could have gone either way until the very end of the match whenever Test would come running at Angle full speed looking to take his head off with the Big Boot but Kurt was able to dodge the boot and quickly slip in position to pick up Test and slamming him into the mat with the Angle Slam! The crowd went wild as Angle hooked the leg to get the three count.

    Winner: Kurt Angle

    -----------

We now come backstage where we see The Rock ready to cut one of his epic as always promos. The fans erupted in cheers as they were excited for this one as he certainly has a bunch of people lined up for him to tear into tonight. Including, Jonathon Coachman who was really starting to get tired of interviewing The Rock because time after time and he always gets punked out somehow by the end of it. Coach would ask The Rock how determined he was to win a title shot and if he was worried about anybody in the match tonight. The Rock looked to start ripping into everybody beginning with the easy one, Rikishi. The Rock was only able to get out a few insults before he was interrupted as Chris Jericho would come walking into the shot as the fans would erupt in cheers once again. The Rock and Chris Jericho had become pretty good friends lately but that was going to go out the door tonight and Jericho was here to tell The Rock that in person. The Rock would tell Jericho that he better bet his ass that he knew that. The Rock told him he better bring it tonight or he will end up like all the other jabronni’s that he is just going to walk through if he could smell what The Rock was cooking.

    -----------

    Six-Man Elimination Match
Number One Contender Match for the WWF Championship

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin versus The Rock versus Chris Jericho versus Triple H versus Rikishi versus Kane

It had all came down to this as we were finally at our highly anticipated main event match as the battle lines had been drawn with the two sides against each other waiting for the bell to start out this match but all six of these men knew that this was every man for himself and that everything was basically on the line with a shot for the world championship on the line. The bell was sounded as the two teams of three would collide with fists flying as the crowd went wild in cheers! The Rock would pair off with Rikishi heading into one corner, Chris Jericho and Kane went brawling into another corner, and Stone Cold and Triple H would go blow to blow in the center of the ring as the crowd were already on the edge of their feet for this one. With the elimination stipulation, one man will have a long way to go to win this match. In the early to middle of the match, this match was just all over the place with alliances being made and ended, Triple H and Stone Cold even worked together at one point against Rikishi. As the match would continue on, the first elimination would take place whenever the awesome combined effort of Chris Jericho having Rikishi in the Walls of Jericho into The Rock hitting The People’s Elbow to eliminate Rikishi. Rikishi didn’t go easily as he would target Chris Jericho taking him out of the ring and slamming him through a barricade! The second elimination would come whenever Triple H and Kane would take out Stone Cold and The Rock before Triple H would turn on Kane to Pedigree him for the pin. It looked to be down to just the three until Chris Jericho would fight to get in the ring to show he was still in it. The four collided with Triple H and Stone Cold making the odd team to go against The Rock and Chris Jericho. The combined effort was able to hit a Stone Cold Stunner on Chris Jericho into the Pedigree to eliminate Chris Jericho and now we were down to three. Austin and Triple H worked together to pick up The Rock who fought back against Triple H and Austin. Austin looked to hit The Rock with the Stone Cold Stunner but he caught Triple H! The Rock would tuck Austin before planting him to the mat with The Rock Bottom for the three count and then there were two! The crowd erupted in cheers as The Rock kipped up to his feet looking over to Triple H still down. The Rock looked to finish this with The People’s Elbow but Triple H was able to move out of harms way! Triple h was able to get to his feet to plant The Rock into the mat with the Pedigree before making the three count!

    Winner: Triple H

Stephanie McMahon would come running out to celebrate with Triple H as the crowd booed like crazy. Triple H had now earned a shot against Kurt Angle since Sunday at the Royal Rumble as Raw went off of the air.

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

Really interested to see where you go with this at the Rumble, and how much you change between now and Wrestlemania 17, as despite it being an all time great show, the ending set the WWF back and the shows following were not the greatest. I'm glad you got a head start on getting things your way, however. I absolutely loved the Six Pack Challenge for the number 1 contender. Vince McMahon's announcement also has me greatly intrigued, as does the potential face turn of Kurt Angle? The main event scene is an absolute fire show during this point in history, and I'm excited to see what you do with it.

Test feuding with Undertaker is different. I know he could go in the ring, but even after the great match with Shane at Summerslam 99, nobody really gave Test a chance to even be a high level mid card talent. The brawling potential between him and Undertaker could be a really fun feud.

The Hardys and Dudleys should have an awesome match, as they always did back in the day. Hoping to see them both with a few more programs against Edge and Christian, also excited to see how you write the tag team division as a whole going forward

As this upcoming Smackdown is the final show before the Rumble, will you be posting a Rumble preview after Smackdown? This just as a refresher for the storylines before the PPV, along with a chance for geeks like me to make some predictions.

    Good luck, will be following!

    Re: WWF(E): Invasion

    January 18th, 2001

Smackdown would kick off with the ultimate combination of pyro and Michael Cole and Michael P.S. Hayes on commentary. The two would begin to hype up the show which includes a handicap tag match between all three of The Radicalz versus the WWF Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit and Tazz. Before they could get into any more of the night's details, the theme music of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would hit the arena. The crowd's mood was ruined as they would erupt in boos as Stephanie would get to the mic to hype up Triple H’s big win on Raw this past Monday. The mood would be lifted as the theme music of the WWF Champion Kurt Angle would hit the arena and the fans would erupt in cheers! Kurt Angle came walking out with a microphone in hand congratulating Triple H for his win but now the real fight was just starting. The two would try to out talk each other with Triple H daring Kurt Angle to dare to play “The Game” with Angle saying he had medaled in gold in every game he had ever played of its true its damn true. Stephanie would then try to punish Kurt by saying he will be teaming with Stone Cold in the Main Event tonight to face Kane and Rikishi and they will take care of their problems personally. About that time, The Rock’s music would hit the arena as he came out to join Angle as he challenged Triple H to a match tonight that Triple H would initially decline but knowing The Rock, he was able to roody-poon candy-ass him into accepting the match as Smackdown looked to be set as we went to a commercial break

    -----------

    Singles Match
    X-Pac versus Essa Rios

The night was getting underway with some big time light heavyweight action as X-Pac was looking to keep the fans cheering him on a thing as he went up against a tough challenger in Essa Rios. The bell was sounded as the two men would lock things up and quickly go to the ground battling for position. The two tried to out grabble each other but that was a hard thing to do with the speed of these two men as they seemed to be able to get out of everything the other had to throw at him. The two would stand the fight back up deciding to take a different approach as they decided to start brawling things out with seemed to benefit X-Pac more with his punches and kicks as the crowd were still beginning to get behind X-Pac since he was trying to get them too, but Essa Rios was still a huge challenge to deal with as he fought his way back into this match. The two men went back and forth both being able to get in huge spots throughout the match where it looked like either man was going to be able to pick up the victory but the other way always able to kick out just in time to keep this match going. The match was based on speed for the majority until the stamina was about drained and the speed had slowed tremendously. The fans didn’t know how much more these two competitors had to leave in the ring tonight as Essa Rios looked to hit a superkick on X-Pac to finish off this match but X-Pac was able to move out of harm’s way and turn around to nail Rios with a spinning back kick of his own. X-Pac would put the nail in the coffin by hitting Rios with the X-Factor before making the cover to get the three count.

    Winner: X-Pac

Coming to the private, and very tidy I might add, locker room of the Right To Censor, the WWF Women’s Champion Ivory has gathered all of the guys together for an emergency meeting as she would have Tori by her side dressed as hideous as the rest of the members as she would hold up a picture of Chyna that Ivory would indicated as “the threat”. Ivory would say that she was a tough woman as was Tori but Chyna was something unlike most women and was trying to take over her division and take her title to which Tori would agree with. She would talk about her own “traumatic” experience with Chyna as Ivory would get to her point as the asked for her Right To Censor brothers to help her out and take Chyna out and get her out of the picture. As bad as these guys could be, they even didn’t seem too sure on the idea of taking out Chyna. Ivory would begin to throw a fit ripping into the guys before storming out of the locker room with Tori by her side.

    -----------

    Tag Team Match
Chyna and Lita versus Ivory © and Tori

This match looked to get underway as Chyna looked to get her hands on the Women’s Champion Ivory in this match but Ivory didn’t look like she wanted any of Chyna as she would instead make Tori start off the match against Chyna. Tori had already learned that facing Chyna was no joke but she didn’t back down as the bell was sounded. Like last time, Tori went running at Chyna but this time is was a trap as Chyna looked to hit Tori with a big boot but Tori moved out of the way before nailing Chyna with a dropkick! Tori quickly made the tag to Ivory screaming double team as the two would begin to double team Chyna but things didn’t exactly go the way that they had planned as Chyna was able to fight her way back against both women and now Ivory was the legal women in the ring! Ivory would quickly run out of the ring with Chyna right on her tail as Ivory looked to ditch the match as Tori tried to fend of Chyna to no prevail. Ivory looked to have been able to get away but Lita would get in her way to try and stop her but Ivory wasn’t afraid the attack her to get away as she would run up the entrance ramp. Suddenly, the RTC would come walking out to stand in front of Ivory as Chyna would dare even them to fight her as Tori would come from behind nailing Chyna before Lita was there to make the save attacking Tori but that was only one thing. Chyna would turn around as suddenly The Goodfather would drill Chyna with a huge Big Boot as the crowd erupted in boos as the referee had no other choice but to call off the match!

    Winners: Chyna and Lita

The crowd were in an uproar as Ivory was thrilled that the Right To Censor were actually listening to her desires as Steven Richards would run the traffic as he told Bull and Goodfather to drag Chyna to the ring before sending Val Venis to the top rope. Who knew how bad this was about to get before the A.P.A would come running out to clean house and come to Chyna’s save!

    -----------

Cameras would cut to backstage where Jonathon Coachman was standing by with the WWF European Champion William Regal who had a huge happy grin on his face tonight as he seemed to be in a great mood. Regal would actually greet Coachman friendly shaking his hand. Coachman would acknowledge that Regal was in a brighter mood than usual. Regal would say that he had a lot to be in a good mood for tonight because he was given the news that his opponent at the Royal Rumble, “The One” Billy Gunn will be missing the show due to a concussion and now he wouldn’t have to defend his championship and will be able to focus solely on the Rumble match. Coachman would tell Regal that he had heard otherwise, and he had direct information from Mr. McMahon himself that said that Regal will still be defending his championship this Sunday now against a surprise opponent to be announced then. Of course, Regal would begin to throw a tantrum arguing with Coachman as he went to argue with Mr. McMahon before Coach would remind him that he had a match coming up next.

    -----------

    Non-Title Match
William Regal © versus Hardcore Holly

William Regal had to be feeling really proud of himself tonight especially with the news he was just able to give still fresh on his mind and his good mood had been ruined, but Hardcore Holly was looking forward to trying to ruin his mood as this match was about to get started. The bell was sounded as these two-brawler specialists wasted no time in battling things out in the center of the ring. Hardcore Holly knew that with Billy Gunn injured and out of the Royal Rumble, there was an opening for a title shot with his name on it if he was able to pick up the victory over William Regal here tonight which was going to be no easy job especially with William Regal loving to take every underhanded tactic in the book to try to win. Regal tried to keep Holly in a grapple for most of the match knowing that the technical wrestling wasn’t Holly’s strong point with Holly fighting his way back into this match time after time trying to keep things standing up and standing his ground in a big way against the champion. As the match would continue, the fans rallied behind Hardcore Holly who looked like he could walk off with the victory at any time throughout the match but Regal was able to continue to fight to stay in this match. Nearing the end of the match in a move of pure desperation, Regal would push Hardcore Holly into the referee just in order for him to be able to have time to nail Holly with his brass knuckles! Holly went out cold as Regal made the win as the referee was slow to make the count but would count the three!

    Winner: William Regal

Before their big match against The Radicalz, Chris Benoit and Tazz were seen backstage trying to plan for how they were going to beat three men. They weren’t going to have to question for long before suddenly there was a knock on the door. Benoit would yell for them to come in as the crowd would erupt in cheers as Chris Jericho would be seen walking into the room. Benoit and Jericho would instantly come nose to nose looking like things were about to get hostile. Then, Benoit would then begin to smile as Jericho would smile back at Benoit as the two would share a hug. Jericho would tell Benoit that he heard that he might have needed a little bit of help tonight and he wasn’t too busy. Jericho would extend his hand to Tazz as the two would accept Jericho’s offer quickly. They certainly needed the extra man and now with Jericho on their side, The Radicalz looked like the could be in for some trouble. The three men would exit the locker room and headed towards the ring as Smackdown would cut to a commercial break.

    Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Radicalz (Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko ©, and Perry Saturn) versus Chris Benoit ©, Tazz, and Chris Jericho

This match just got even more packed full of talent with Chris Jericho stepping in on the side of Benoit and Tazz for this match against the three Radicalz. This match would get underway as Chris Jericho opted to start the match against a man he knew very well in Dean Malenko as the bell was sounded. The two would start things off by locking things up as Jericho was able to take down Malenko first. The two would break apart as Jericho mocked Malenko by bowing at him. The two would lock up again as Malenko would nail Jericho with a kick in the mid-section getting things going for his team as he would tag in Perry Saturn as The Radicalz began to try to pick apart Jericho in their corner. The crowd tried to will Jericho on as he would be able to get off Saturn before using the ropes to leap to kick Guerrero and Malenko off the apron before making the tag to Tazz who would fire into the ring suplexing anything that moved! Things were going good for Tazz and his team until Eddie Guerrero charged the ring. The referee was forced to deal with him allowing a drive by Malenko! This match was beginning to get all over the place as Guerrero would get the tag finally as would Benoit eventually causing Guerrero to tag back out trying to stay away from Benoit in this one. In the end of the match and the madness, Benoit was the last remaining member of his team. Tazz was out and Jericho and Malenko were nowhere to be found. Benoit was still driven after Eddie but he would get caught in a trap after Guerrero to be superkicked by Saturn! Eddie Guerrero went to the top rope as he hit the Frog Splash! Guerrero made the cover on Benoit picking up a HUGE win for his team!

    Winners: The Radicalz

Eddie knew he had just stolen a huge victory as he quickly rolled out of the ring to join with Perry Saturn in celebration. Backstage before Triple H’s match against The Rock, Triple H was game planning for the last few minutes before the match with his wife Stephanie McMahon as the crowd erupted in boos. Suddenly, the crowd would boo louder as Kane and Rikishi would come walking into the room. Stephanie would welcome the two before telling them to go out there tonight and weaken up Kurt Angle or take him out all together in order to get him ready for this Sunday where Triple H will defeat him to become the WWF Champion. The entire time Stephanie was talking, Kane would never take his eyes off of Triple H and once Stephanie had finished her instruction, Kane would step up to Triple H telling him that if he ever stabbed him in the back again that he would be six foot under. Triple H wouldn’t back down from Kane as things didn’t take long to get heated as the two were nose to nose. Stephanie McMahon would get between the two to break the two apart as Rikishi would pull back his partner Kane as the fans were booing loudly more because they wanted to see them fight!

    Singles Match
The Rock versus Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon

This match was about to be a classic just like every time these two men stepped in the ring with each other and they were just about to give it away for free as The Rock and Triple H looked to go one on one! The bell was sounded as the two men would talk trash all the way to the center of the ring where the fists would begin to fly between these two men who certainly didn’t like each other one bit and had spent years now trying to beat that into the other ones skull and this one wasn’t going to disappoint. The two would start the match already by brawling going back and forth until The Rock looked to take control of the match as he leaped through the air nailing Triple H with a massive shoulder block! The Rock ran against the ropes to gather more momentum to nail Triple H with it once again but this time, Triple H was ready for him as he would nail The Rock with a knee to the skull! Triple H went for the pin, but The Rock was still able to kick out at the early two! Triple H would get in the referee’s face arguing with him whenever he should have been paying attention to The Rock who was able to fight back up to his feet. Rock and Triple H would continue to go back and forth with “the people” rallying on The Rock but with Stephane McMahon at ringside, she was able to get involved to help out her husband. Nearing the end of this match, The Rock was able to make Triple H accidentally hit his own wife off the apron before he turned around right into The Rock Bottom! The Rock followed up with a huge People’s Elbow to pick up the win over Triple H!

    Winner: The Rock

The Rock would begin to celebrate his victory as he exited the ring and began to back up the ramp. The Rock would raise his arm high in the air as suddenly, a huge boot would crash against the back of the skull! The crowd erupted in boos as Test would grab The Rock and toss him off the stage before looking at the ring at Triple H and raised his arm with a smirk on his face.

Backstage after a huge win for The Rock over his son-in-law, Triple H, Mr. McMahon is seen walking backstage with a huge smile on his face that he had been wearing around a lot here recently. The crowd had a mixed reaction at the sight of the boss but the crowd would erupt in cheers as Mr. McMahon would approach the WWF Champion Kurt Angle who was getting ready for his big match coming up next. Vince would tell Kurt that he really wanted to apologize to him for not listening to what he had to say the other week and pretty much blowing him off. Kurt would nod his head before saying that he accepted Vince’s apology and if there wasn’t anything else that he wanted then he had a match to go attend to. Mr. McMahon would say yeah but he was still a bit taken back by Kurt’s new attitude. Kurt would then tell Vince it was good talking to him before walking off. Vince would then laugh and made the odd statement, “he might just be who the hell is next” before walking off himself.

    Tag Team Match
Kurt Angle © and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin versus Rikishi and Kane

It had all come down to this as we were in our main event as the odd team of the WWF Champion Kurt Angle and Stone Cold looked to go against the little more established team of Rikishi and Kane. Austin looked to start off the match for his team up against the big Rikishi as the bell was sounded and Stone Cold would unleash like a rapid animal with his attack as he quickly backed Rikishi into the corner just unleashing on him! The fans were going wild as Stone Cold was clearly on a mission here tonight as the referee was forced to interfere and back Austin off as Kane would tag himself in. Austin would look to use the same tactic against Kane but it didn’t have the same effect as Kane nailed Austin with a huge uppercut as the brawl continued between these guys until Stone Cold would make the tag to his partner Kurt Angle and then things would get more technical with Angle in the ring. Angle was the main target for Rikishi and Kane to take out and they weren’t shy of making that known as they continued to target him out as this match would continue on. Austin would continue to make things even up as the crowd willed on the new fan favorite Angle and Austin throughout the match. Nearing the end of the match, Kane and Rikishi had gotten in desperate as they would take out Austin before grabbing chairs! The referee threatened to disqualify them but they didn’t care as they had a job to get done. Kane would make the first chair shot at Angle as the referee had no other choice but to call for the bell!

Winners: Kurt Angle and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

The match was over but the attack continued by Kane and Rikishi who looked like they might just take Angle out before Sunday. Stone Cold was able to fight up to his feet as he rushed the ring to help out Kurt Angle against Kane and Rikishi. He put up a valiant effort before being taken out as well. Triple H and Stephanie would come walking out next to a loud boo as Triple H would had insult to injury to more injury as he would pedigree Angle. Everyone began to exit the ring as suddenly Kane would grab Triple H by the back of the hair and swung him around for a huge chokeslam on the steelchair! Stephanie looked at Kane in shock as he would exit the ring. Stephanie went to check on her husband as Rikishi stood in the ring confused of what to do as Smackdown went off air.
