He is building up the new generation, just not the shitty ones. He endorsed J. Cole, Logic, Joyner, and of course Kendrick among a few others on the record.

Big Sean too. But to be totally honest, they've all been in the game for a while now and are well established. There are other actual up and comers who could use his endorsement. And regardless of how many people he hyped, it doesn't make randomly mocking guys any less whack. And I'm not talking MGK or Tyler because it's fair to respond to disses. But when I see older dudes in the game coming for someone like Pump it just comes off as a plea for attention. And I don't like Pump or Migos just to be clear. I just think it's lame.

I've been listening to the new Sauna Youth album on repeat for the last couple of days and I'm pretty sure it'll end up on my year end top ten. Great throwback punk sound for those that like that sort of thing...

I randomly came across a band called Jinjer and holy shit they kick ass. Heavy as fuck with a singer that has genuine pipes mixed in with the growling stuff and the band sounds amazing. Cloud Factory is their album from this year and Outlander and Who Is Gonna Be The One are dope as shit. The whole album is cool, though. I've been blasting them exclusively on the drive to work and love them the more I hear them.

Never been the biggest Wayne fan. At times I've bumped his shit, at times I've totally ignored him. I have to say Tha Carter V will almost definitely be in my top five rap albums this year. Really high level rapping and he's back to his prime level with the metaphors and similes.

The new Twenty One Pilots “Trench” is really good, I like it a lot. Songs I really like are Jumpsuit and Chlorine but all of it is good imo.

I don’t know how anyone else here feels about them but I suggest giving it a listen if you can.

The new Coheed and Cambria is maybe their best work since Good Apollo if anyone's into that sort of thing.

I might have been living under a rock for ten years but I had not heard of Ghost and checked out this album based on this recommendation.

Think I'm in love. Where have this band been all my life?

Shout out to Muse for Simulation Theory too.

Yeah Ghost had this wrapped up ages ago. Prequelle hasn’t left my rotation since it came out.

If you haven’t already you should check out their previous work, Opus Eponymous, Infestissuman, and Meliora.

I’ll have to check out the new Muse album, I’ve been a fan of them for many years.

Agreed, Prequelle is probably my top album of the year.

Thanks to Spotify, I did immediately after listening to Prequelle. Great stuff.

I enjoyed it but I think the difference between it being good and great is just how unnecessarily long it is. 4-5 tracks would have been cut and this would have a classic. Too much filler.

I agree it has progressively slipped down my ranks. I don't listen to a single song on it anymore.
