NJPW Theme Tournament Play-in Scramble Block B: Suzuki-gun Showdown

El Desperado - "Aguja de Abeja"

Lance Archer - "He Is AMERICAN PSYCHO"

Davey Boy Smith Jr. - "Awakening"

TAKA Michinoku - "Yamato Suite Pt. 4 (Suzuki-Gun Version)"

    Yoshinobu Kanemaru - "Sly Boots"

Killer Elite Squad - "Killer Bomb"

If you like KES you'll love this block. Davey Boy's theme reminds me of that old "put your hands up on my hip when I dip you dip we dip song". Desperado has a nice Latin inspired song, and Kanemaru's is just as generic as he is! TAKA's? Everyone knows TAKA's. He's been rocking it for over 20 years in various versions (some funnier than others, but his theme is iconic at this point in the world of Japanese wrestling.

TAKA's got this on lock. Throwing some love Desperado's way because I really like his theme.

I almost felt bad about putting TAKA in, because he barely ever even gets to use this theme outside of BOSJ and it's always muted even then. Also I actually thought his singles K-Dojo versions had him at his funniest in terms of quotes. That said he was the choice here as the others are not that great though I like Despy's and Davey's but even that one doesn't fit him great. The others are all generic and this Block exists otherwise only to remind me that Kanemaru somehow is in NJPW and a champion.

How can you vote against Taka here in such a generic field.

    TAKA dominates, no surprise there.
