Good show, but underwhelming for me. Maybe the worst since the relaunch.

Both matches were pretty good/got really good but not standout. Kendrick being back is a joy for the tag division and Murphy going to the top is great.

    Spoiler:

Yeah I agree, the last few minutes of Kalisto/Tozawa was probably my highlight. A week where you could have easily skipped it.

I agree Dookie, that middle of the road quality 205 Live tonight. Buddy heel turn hooray it was needed, rather of seen Ali turn heel, but I mean they have done Alexander friend turning on him before though. Hopefully 205 Live gets some new talent to spice things up going forward.

It was a fine show but just not what the show's been. Plus I'm exhausted with so much wrestling since Friday.

That had more to do with the guy in the crowd that people thought had died but turned out to just be asleep. Unavoidable for Gulak and Andrews really, can't predict that someone will get so drunk they pass out during your match.

I was higher on this show than most it seems. I really enjoyed both matches and all the other stuff, like Kendrick's return and Cedric's segment at the end. Good stuff and very enjoyable for me.

The episode was fine, but I dunno. I think I'm just drained from the last week so maybe even the A show lost some luster for me.

To be fair, he had a looooooonng weekend and they were asking him for pictures, so he'd be a douchebag for saying no really. Apparently he was used as a distraction in the finish to the dark main event too. Not sure exactly how but it's amusing that WWE took advantage of something like that.

Dook needs to be more positive about 205 Live.

I thought Kalisto/Tozawa was in keeping with the quality from the tournament. Good shit.

    Dick

But I did think the last few minutes were really good. I think Kalisto needs way more love.

I think Kalisto's good, I just have a hard time connecting with him because of his massive lacking in charisma. The guy tries, but you just end up with "good lucha things". I think it's the open mask and how much you hear him talk but he doesn't have an interesting character go with that. He could benefit from a character change or perhaps a...

I think he's been mostly better in that regard with more intensity/being extra latino. Him and Lince have been laying it on pretty thick in a lot of their promos, which hey, it's better than where they were before.

Re: WWE 205 Live Discussion: April 10th, 2018

    - 205 Live Post-Mania callup/switchover/return checklist:
    Johnny Gargano: [ ]
    Oney Lorcan: [ ]
    Danny Burch: [ ]
    Ricochet: [ ]
    Chad Gable: [ ]
    Xavier Woods: [ ]
    Tyler Breeze: [ ]
    Neville: [ ]
    Pete Dunne: [ ]
    Tyler Bate: [ ]
    Fresh New Competitor: [ ]
    Percy Watson?: [X]

    - Two great matches, two weeks in a row for Kalisto. Three if you count the four-way. Ever since 205 Live got new management the dude's found a new fire. Took some time to pull it together during the tournament itself, but now? Dude's great. Good stuff with Tozawa here. Tornado tag next week should be absolute bangers and mash, if the last tornado tag on 205 Live is any indication.

    - I popped for the Powerpoint Presentation tease. No surprise. If now isn't the time for a Powerpoint Presentation, than dangit, when will it be?!? Submission grapplefuck expert Drew Gulak who still uses Microsoft Powerpoint to get a message across once a month would be a lovely character. Bit of a bummer Gulak/Andrews lost the crowd, but it's the very last show of the Post-Mania run, I don't doubt there's guys who have been watching wrestling for like four or five days straight and are tired and burnt out like heck and were really concerned that some dude in the crowd might've passed out and died or something. I wish someone cheered and applauded me every time I revealed I wasn't dead yet.

I'm digging morally grey Tony Nese, sorta-kinda a dick but understands that he and Mark Andrews have a common enemy. Real missed opportunity back when he was betrayed by the Zo Train and two weeks later he drifted back into their group with nary a mention. Although dude's a bit dim, he knocked Drew down on the outside via Fosbury Flop dive, then re-entered and demanded that he enter and do battle. Tony my dude, you just knocked the guy flat on his ass after his match, you could've dragged him by the hair and tossed him into the ring and he would've barely resisted. You ran AWAY from him then demanded he come to you and fight. I get it, it's for the scene of Drew backing up while Tony & Mark shout obscenities from the ring, check that off the prototypical list, but still.

    - THE Brian Kendrick! Better add that to the checklist up above. Good to have him back.

    - I forgot how fantastic Drake Maverick's theme music is.

Nice friendly exchange, once again nothing groundbreaking, but serviceable enough. Sounds like they edited the struggle of Buddy Murphy's finisher out of the Network replay, but I don't mind someone trying to struggle out of a finisher too much, especially one like Buddy's that often requires set-up. Alright episode, the matches were good, but due to the exhausted crowd and the Post-Mania burnout I can't blame anyone for being a bit down on this episode.

Only one episode left then I'm up to date. HOW'S THAT SOUND, DOOK
